- Matches with spriggans have been requested many times, so it's time to cover those! The Spriggan Earth Mother is the strongest spriggan type in the game.
... Or is she? We'll see.
Spriggans have a perk that activates once they're down to 20% HP, which allows them to resist 90% of all physical damage for a while. This is why they seemingly don't take damage anymore at some point, even from heavy hits by a giant. Magic damage is not affected.
Spriggans have the ability to control animals around them and help them fight. I prefer having 1 vs. 1 battles with most of my NPCs for a direct comparison, but this ability is really useful and definitely needs to be considered. So I decided to make the Earth Mother fight alone at first, then let her call a few animals for the battles against the stronger opponents.
All animals have naturally spawned. This is important because I don't want the Earth Mother's success to depend on what allies I choose to give her. I let the game decide, which is the most realistic approach.

I’ll never forget the time I saw a random event where the earth spriggan mother was fighting an elder dragon and she summoned ALMOST EVERY ANIMAL POSSIBLE, I saw foxes taking a bite, I saw a bunny running all over the battle, I saw a MAMMOTH answer her summons and enter the fight as well! When shee shouted she REALLY wanted help fighting that dragon I swore it was like The call of narnia all answering her call to fight this dragon it was sooooo funny.
I love moments like this! 😂 Too bad they're fairly rare, but that makes them even more memorable!
Try to take out fights with J'zargo, if I'm not mistaken, he's the only NPC who knows the Paralysis spell! This, of course, will be useless against many opponents, but it’s still interesting. But you need a high player level, at least 80
I probably won't use J'zargo for many reasons. He doesn't use the paralysis spell, and usually just goes for sparks regardless of his level. He also has no level cap so he's very hard to balance, and the fights get incredibly long and boring 😅
@@lSlendermasterI thought you removed all fights at level 80. And I saw how he uses paralysis, for this he should not be a companion and he should have enough magic reserve. Also, the enemy should not have immunity
@@RtoonCa I always set NPCs to their level cap, but this doesn't work for those without a cap. 😅
I have used J'zargo at level 252 in some tests, and he didn't use the spell despite knowing it. His opponents didn't resist it either. I'm pretty sure he would have to be modified to use it randomly
That frostbite spider freaked me out.
This video really makes you realise how bad Spriggans are. They put these poor animals through torture.
I'm wondering if the Spriggan ability is like a call for assistance, or more like mind control 🤔
Spriggan's are honestly one of thise enenmy types that are *deceptively* strong despite their level. There's a reason most players avoid them and Giants until a certain level

@@lSlendermasterdepends on the type of Spriggan tbf. The Earth Mother Spriggans are definetly the strongest variants

I feel like big wild animals and npcs that should be “heavy” should have some ragdoll resistance. It doesn’t make sense a werewolf or werebear can just casually toss around something as big as themselves or even bigger.

I had a feeling the Burnt Spriggan would win because if I remember flame is the weakness against the Spriggan Earth Mother.
Yes, they're weak to fire, but the flames spell is really weak. The Burnt Spriggan has more health and does more melee damage though, which makes a big difference 😄

We have videos for Arch Pyromancers and a Arch Cryomancer….why no Arch Electromancer video yet?

I will do an Arch Electromancer video at some point! I haven't done it yet because I'm not sure who to put them against. Most mages in the game can't handle shock attacks; they will just stand around doing nothing while they're waiting for their magicka to regenerate (which doesn't happen while under constant attacks). So those would be rather slow and boring fights, and I hate those for my videos. 🤷
Someone else has mentioned that too, and I like the idea! I'm not sure if it's practical though. 3 mages at once are very hard to record even if they're fighting a single opponent, and there would hardly be anyone in the game would could withstand them. So we would need multiple opponents, which gets too chaotic for my videos.
@@lSlendermaster Simple for the first: who are the few mages who can handle them, and how about mostly warriors or thieves?
And as for that second one…might be time to bring the Colosseum out again, or some fairly compact and easy to record in arena. Could do the three against the three strongest College mages for one instance? 5 of the strongest draugr?
Of course, the finale could potentially be 3 of each of them vs the unstoppable duo of the Ebony Warrior and Karstaag
@@irontiger2622 Neloth and Savos could, but they both have an extremely high shock resistance, so that's no surprise and it wouldn't be balanced. Ildari could too, but there's another problem: She uses a storm atronach, which the Electromancers can't beat. 😂 That's yet another problem with elemental warlocks.
Warriors are an option, but having a melee vs. a ranged fighter is always really hard to record too because it's incredibly difficult following them with the camera properly. Also, I don't like it when the warrior doesn't even get a single hit down from the mage always running away. It's complicated. 😅
Even in my Colosseum, I usually can't capture everything at once because there is too much going on and you can't focus on everything. Those are decent suggestions though. 🤔 College mages, and a couple draugr should make for interesting rounds!
You mean 9 in total? They would absolutely destroy Karstaag and the Ebony Warrior within a few seconds. 😅 It's very hard to balance around Karstaag anyway because only the Pyromancers can really do damage to him. Even 10+ Arch Electromancers at once can't beat him.
On a side note: Finding good locations for my battles is one of the greatest challenges. Do you think using my Colosseum for the Arch Electromancer episode would be okay? 🤔

I was surprised when the Spriggans lost to the Dragons. But then the Dragons die too lol.
Funny things happen with the poison 😂
It was pretty much a draw since the dragon died at the end.
Spriggans have weird AI, sometimes they keep distance and use their spells and sometimes they rush things into melee.
Yeah, it's pretty random. I suppose they just switch based on RNG

This was not a great showing for the Spriggan. It needed so many allies to take down its foes.

Yup, they're not top-tier. We lack a good Spriggan boss in the vanilla game. 😅
Only one so far: Against Karstaag, but I added the Ebony Warrior as well because they would be too weak otherwise. 😂

Serana is bugged to Coldhaven and beyond, which is why I haven't put her in any of my episodes so far. I have yet to test Teldryn Sero in battles. 🤔
Vendil would completely murder Astrid within a few seconds. Maybe it could work as an intro round in a Vendil episode, or a late round in an Astrid episode, if I make one.
I have already scheduled episodes for many weeks from now, so it might take a bit. Sorry for that. 😅 I'm saving your requests for later though, thank you for the ideas!
