Trina, Wonder Woman….defender of horses, savior of broken furniture, Master woodworker, business owner, mother, wife and daughter extraordinaire and her kryptonite is cheap plastic box lids!😂❤😂❤😂! Love it! ~Debbi
Once again Trena, you have saved the life of that wood to keep it alive for yet other generations to love and cherish. Your work is over the top impeccable. Absolutely unbelievable the talent and education you have gleamed from your father and other studies. I love how you cherish the beauty and truly love the history of it all. I so enjoy coming here and watch you work your magic on what seems hopeless wood pieces. This is another gorgeous piece of work. Thank you for sharing your gifts of talent and actually educating us and inspiring us. Blessings to you and your family there. Excited for your building to be completed and you getting into your new workspace. Patience is a virtue, and you all have certainly proved that!
What a beautiful job you have done! Your work is just stunning, thank you for sharing. This is an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture that wood is gorgeous. Well done
I laughed so hard when you could not get the box open, and then you used a mallet. I will remember that trick.😂❤ It is an exquisite restoration. You always amaze.
Hello Trena once again a masterful renovation of a grand old piece. My guess on it being veneer rather than print caused you a lot more work but in the end it has a new glow. I like your box of veneer bits it reminds me of those mechanics who have assortment of old bolt and screws. I just wondered if this was a signed piece, and finally it's so nice to see originality maintained as there are so many flippers on here who cover beautiful wood with paint. Well done Trena hope you get the heater working soon.🙂👍🌻🧡
The non-swearing curses had.me seriously cracking up!!! Reminded me of my very dear, late aunt. She was, such a "lady" who never used curse words, except ones she made up ("Oh Sugarfoot!" Lol!!!😆).I found myself finishing for you ("What the Sam Hill!" etc.) Also, the mauve sound do used to.pull your hair back is a very pretty color on you. Now finally, the furniture ... You, my dear, are an artist, A magician, and all of that! It is a beautiful transformation that pays a wonderful respect to the artisan(s) who created it. THAT takes skill, artistry, AND a bit of magic! Great job as usual Treana!!! 😘
Trena, you are an oasis of calm, where creativity, gorgeous music, and beauty flow. In a world of wars, environmental stress, divisive politics, and nasty trolling, your videos are a shelter in the storm. Thank you and God bless.
OMG, Trena! You knocked it out of the park again!!! This is an AMAZING restoration! You took such care to keep it as original as possible! I LOVE this!❤❤❤❤
What a beautiful job you've done on this grand old lady! She came to you showing every bit of her 110+ years and now she's been given a new lease of life! Stunning work, Trena! xxx
Tiger wood 🤣🤣🤣 That and the box gave me a good chuckle 😂 Absolutely lovely piece! Great repair! I have a few items from my great grandparents that is showing their age if a couple of ways. I might try my hand on them and see if there's anything I can do. On the other hand, being very much an amateur... Definitely makes me think twice, thrice, and so on 🤨 I definitely learn from you, and perhaps you'll be of some assistance for me across the ocean!
Once again, Trena, you have performed your artistic magic and brought another antique piece back to stunning! I had to laugh when you commented on how it was a nice day there in Canada. Brrrr. Here in South Georgia, it snowed January 21, 2025. It is still melting in our yard. The last time we had snow was January 2, 2018. So us “southerners” are definitely not used to snow. Lol. Always enjoy your videos and learn something new every time I watch! Terrific job!
The color stain really makes the tiger stripes pop! I learn so much about wood repairs from you. Your veneer repairs are invisible when you're done! Amazing!!
It's the first time I've come across Tiger Oak. What a wonderful wood! Google helped with the details! Very nice job, and I imagine the clients were very pleased with the result! The new workshop must be getting close!
While I'm not a fan of oak of any kind, it's upsetting to see a piece that was made with such care treated so badly. Thank you for rescuing this one. (I was saying "get a hammer" when you grabbed the mallet to open that box. 😂)
Wow you did a another beautiful job like you always do !!! You are so talented God has given you a wonderful gift!!!!! Thank you for sharing your love of restoring beautiful old furniture with us ! Hope your new shop is done soon God please you an your family see you on your next video!!!
I love your work. I wish we were closer so you could do my antiques. I’m learning how tho by watching you. Thanks so much for everything. ❤ The plastic top…killed me…😂
That's great, Trena. The grain looks almost 3D! I am amazed that the whole thing doesn't fall over with that big mirror. I'm looking forward to next time.
Beautiful! Very helpful as I refinish the tiger oak pedestal table (as I mentioned earlier). It's cold here and I don't have a ventilated place to work - even though I have a basement at the store and at home. I work out of my garage in the freezing cold as I can't stand wearing a mask or other protection. Once I sand out the scratch I missed before staining (grrr) I can use a water-based poly inside. You have taught me so much - I truly appreciate it. When you said "Ghost" when the cord fell I burst out laughing. I believe we have a poltergeist here, but it has been quiet since the kids have grown up. Never harmful, just a prankster! You are a gem. Can't wait to see the new shop!
Oh wow! I have my grandparents Silvertone record player that is, perhaps the same vintage as this dresser. The top is tiger oak veneer. I just dusted, cleaned & lightly sanded it, then protected it with Howard Clean & Wax. It has the same kind of blemish that you used the blade on! I thought it was a water stain, and didn’t really know what else to do with the blemish, as it’s so small. Now I do! Another fantastic restoration, Trena!
Terrific job! I have three of these old dressers I am refinishing, so this video was especially interesting to me. I just love them! My oldest one is from the 1880's and was taken from Chicago to Texas on a Conestoga wagon. Great job, Trina!
I love it!!❤❤🎉🎉. What amazingly beautiful work. Your ability to repair and blend in patches is fantastic. I watched another restorer and his patches were glaringly obvious. I said to myself, he needs to watch Trena and learn how it’s done. Oh, l liked the way you did the drawer stops. I did almost exactly that on my fall front desk reno and thought I was being clever. Turns out, I just used another of your techniques.😅😅
Another wonderful lesson in furniture restoration. I learn yet another tidbit of how to everytime I watch you. Great information on veneer repair. Thank you. Must admit I chuckled when you couldn't get that darn plastic box open So funny.
Calling it furniture 'repair' doesn't do your artistry justice. More like furniture reincarnation. Masterful work as always. Kudos.

Stunning work. I couldn’t tell where the patches were, they blended in so well. I’m sure you have a very grateful client.

Sorry, but that was so funny about not being able to get that box of veneers to open, an entirely relatable moment. Beautiful work!
What a beautiful job you have done! Your work is just stunning, thank you for sharing. This is an absolutely beautiful piece of furniture that wood is gorgeous. Well done
The Goudy golden oak stain was perfection. Watching the color emerge was amazing. Thank you for sharing !

Beautiful! When you wiped the stain away from that first drawer it literally took my breath away. So amazing.

Trena, that color was pretty much spot on to the original. Beautiful job on the rebuild as well. 🎉🎉
Trena: beautiful job. A vintage piece brought to life again. Your patch work was super good. Carol from California
Trena, watching the stain applied and then the laquer, I got a tear in my eye and lump in my chest. This is absolutely beautiful. Such talent.
Another beautiful piece of restoration on your part Trina.
You have given it a second life while still allowing it to show its age.
Lovely.
Truly another masterclass in how to restore a piece with respect! Great job and cheers!

Ooooohhhh... I've been looking forward to part 2! YAY!!!
It is gorgeous! Oak is a beautiful wood, and sturdy. So superior to the pressed woods we see today! You did a fantastic job!
Love watching a master craftsman at work 🤩👍
Thanks for sharing with us Trena🥰!
Tiger wood 🤣🤣🤣 That and the box gave me a good chuckle 😂
