As someone who remembers the 60s, I honestly don't think it ever looked that good - even brand new from the store. You have a way of bringing out beauty in furniture that was just a mass produced piece that you'd buy at Sears for a couple hundred dollars. Amazing!

I confer ‘a ditto’ to that: the furniture looks better than brand new with the hiding of that wee bend in a few wood fibers you took care of by photo-touching it. That’s what I’d call it anyway. It looks kinda like when I touched up color prints at a photography studio. At any rate, take a bow, you did it again. Bee u tifull.

Consider printing a QR code for the restoration YT video and include it with the piece. Even better would be a permanent way to add your video QR code. Imagine how cool it would be the buyers to see all the work you put into making things useful and beautiful.
I enjoy your work, your cats and your rabbits. Best wishes for 2025

I was a kid in the 70s, and SO MANY PEOPLE had this exact set of bedroom furniture. My parents liked a more colonial style of furniture that used to be built and sold in Massachusetts, so I always thought that these pieces were the height of luxury (because solid-wood furniture with more traditional styling was "boring" to me at the time, LOL). I am so glad to see this one getting some love.

I really enjiyed this! My parents had this set when I grew up. When I was a teenager it was considered out of "style". I hhhated it! I was so happy when they got rid of it. Now it's my dream set. I would love to have it back. I still remember how it felt and how the drawers sounded.

I love the way you restore mid-century furniture. It's furniture from my generation and I'm glad you're bringing it back to its former beauty and shine. If I were sure that you could do the same for me, who am 60 years old, I would come to your house right now so you could restore me 😂😂 Congratulations! Good job! It's not about the quality of the furniture, but about the love with which you restore it.

Hi Angie, I hope that one day you'll be able to have your furniture store again. You have such a great approach to furniture restoration. One day you could travel to France, go to neighbourhood broccantes - and Italy second hand furniture stores, fill a container bound for Canada. You could probably pay for your trip after you restore the furniture. Most of the furniture is solid wood. I think you'd have a ball. Or, you could do what you're doing so beautifully! You always make the furniture live up to a greater promise. Thank you for sharing your talent. I really appreciate it! The other Angie ☺💗

One of the things I love about your work is the “painting” you do on things like that chip to mimic the wood grain. In Thomas Jefferson’s home, many of the doors were faux grained to look like mahogany.

I was 7 when this was made! I have watched your contemporaries do furniture make overs when waiting for your videos, by far I believe (personal opinion) you have the best videos in furniture make overs. I like the voice over better than someone in a garage talking loudly or yelling at me. You have a love for the furniture and the wood that comes across vs just a want to flip furniture. I took high school shop and have a love for wood, I go into stores (furniture and thrift) run my fingers over finishes, guess it's just a touch thing, but you know what I mean. The piece is lovely, still I wish you were in the states, but then again NS is a lovely place to live. Can't wait till the next piece.

Angie, as always, you did such a beautiful job on that dresser. I always love it when you let the wood grain shine through! I don't know why I'm partial to the red tones, but I really like how you kept those red tones, instead of going with a darker brown. It just seems more natural!
I would like to get your advice and insight on a piece I have I want to work on this spring. I think I've mentioned it before, a cedar chest that has been handed down in my family... I'm the third or fourth generation to own it. It's a beautiful old chest, but it has seen better days. It's lost its cedar scent; it has some kind of varnish that is yellowing with age; it's not cracking yet, do to dryness, but I'm afraid it will soon if I don't give it some conditioning. I do NOT want to put another coat of varnish on it. I want the natural wood to come through. I had originally planned on getting some Odie's Oil, I've seen what you do with that stuff! But I'm under the impression that if I seal it with anything I will seal in that cedar scent, which I very much want to bring back out.
I'm hoping to restore it this Spring, once we get rid of all the cold air, since I'm going to have to work on it outside. I want to start preparing now, so that when I do start to restore it, I have everything I need, since money is tight. I know you've worked on cedar wood before, so I'm hoping you are willing to give me some insights and advice on what products are good for cedar wood, and what products to stay away from.

I have a number of chest videos posted that will help. This one - ruclips.net/video/5iqfaaL2-oc/видео.html at the 10:50 timestamp talks about the inside of the chest and the cedar smell. There's also this one, it's a Lane cedar chest - ruclips.net/video/TQRl8Dpwzuc/видео.html
Those should help! I listed all the products I used in the description boxes for the videos.
