Thanks for posting your review, Bikerlee. I was all set to buy the CB750 Hornet but then I tried the GSX 8S and my new Suzuki will be ready to collect next week. My wallet was telling me to buy the Honda but my heart was totally with the Suzuki. The low/mid range grunt on that GSX is just fabulous, although the Hornet does perform a bit better at the top end. Also, for me, I found the ride and handling better on the GSX due to its longer wheelbase and greater kerbweight. They are both fabulous bikes and you can't go far wrong with either but I'm happier paying the extra for the GSX 8S. Oh and I'm going for the Pearl Cosmic Blue one :)
Could not of said that better. Think the GSX is worth the money. Hornet is going up this year, no one seems to know how much but I think most dealers are expecting it to go up £500 But like you for my riding style as you said I prefer the low mid-range over top end power. Plus I go and Ride these bikes without doing any research. So I can get a true first impression and the GSX just felt comfortable a little more than the Honda Hornet. Stay safe and enjoy the bike.
@@davidchan8 really pleased for you. Got good weather for the next couple of days so I bet you'll be on it for hours. If you were ever up my way which is Shropshire or North Wales give us a shout.
♡♡♡ I LIKE THIS COLOR VARIANT, TOO. THE COLOR OF THE FRONT FENDER MATCHES THAT OF THE HEADLIGHT AND OF THE FRONTAL TANK FAIRINGS. IT LOOKS MORE COLORFUL, SUBSTANTIAL AND VISIBLE ON THE ROAD. ♡♡♡
I don’t understand why you didn’t use the quick shifter at all. I guess you didn’t look at the turn signals on the bike you rode, as they are led. But you are correct that non led turn signals are standard. Also mode 1 is the most aggressive, if you rode it in mode 3, that is by far the softest from what I’ve read. Mode 1 would have really left an impression.
To be honest I keep forgetting about the quick shirter. I will have to look up about the modes was on 2 for a while but sure the dealer said 3 was sport. But as it's a first impression ride I go onto the bikes with as little knowledge as I can. But you could be right. Some time I don't listen lol. Safe riding
It's interesting what other people's perception of a good-looking bike is. Honestly, I hate the front-end look. So much choice in this power/ price middle weight market. Personally, I like the Triumph Trident and at least you get a triple engine. Nice little review 👍👍
What did you think of the colour scheme. Blue wheels set the bike up for me I do like the look of the trident as well. Think I got a triumph bike coming in July. Not sure which of one. Safe riding.
why cant suzuki build a beautiful sv650 with a better suspension and led lights?! I want a new bike to replace my 2005 sv650 but just hate the look of this new nakeds and dont want to buy a new sv650 and spend 1000eur in suspension upgrades...
maybe a good time to have a look at some different styles of bikes. Sports. Cruisers. Adventure bikes etc. Hopefully you will come across something that suited to you and you're riding style. All the best.
@@Bikerlee555 only nakeds...hate the riding position of cruisers, dont understand the idea of trails and most look bad or a kid trying to look what he is not. Super sports not for me. Probably will end up with a used modern sv650 and pay for better suspension upgrades
Great bike, i drive the hornet 750 The suzuki wins the fight, thats right But I love my hornet 750, the Sound of the hornet is better... Both bikes are great!!!
Hi. I'm coming to the conclusion that most new bikes these days that are similar in cc's and weight class there's a very little between them. At the end of the day it's going to come down to your own personal preferences. And as I said in the video the Suzuki suits my riding style more than the Hornet does and that's the main reason it wins the fight for me. Anyway have fun riding and be safe
@@Bikerlee555 at the moment an Honda Super Cub 125. But in the next days i will buy an Suzuki S8 or an Triumph Street Tripple 765 . But for the first time i think Suzuzi are better for newbies. but i struggle with the colors. I think White ore Black are the Beautys..
My mistake as well. The numbers 1-3 are for TC, 1 being least intrusive. SDMS power modes A is sharpest throttle response, B and C less so, C being extremely soft.
Thanks saves me looking it up. I'm going to start reviewing bikes in the coming months so we'll have to do some research and get the specs right but for now I just like doing the first impression so the less I know the better. Safe riding
Why would you change the exhaust? Just to make noise and annoy people ? And so what? You will loose in performance, that 's all you'll get. Engine's sound is more important that exhaust noise.
100% Honda missed the mark on what makes an engine fun in this class of bike. That's why the MT07 is still the boss of the middleweight nakeds. It ain the best overall bike, but it's BY FAR the best engine
Never been on the MT07. Will see in a few weeks if can. do have a Yamaha to test but the dealer not telling me what bike. As he knows I like to ride bikes raw which I mean I don't do any research on them. Try to remember on the day what they tell me about the bike. So it's a true first impression.
Hi Been finding with all engines in or around this category of motorbike the engines are quite similar. I think it would depend on what riding style you prefer. The Suzuki as good mid-range torque the Honda is more towards the high end. So it likes a lot of rev. The best thing to do if possible is to test ride both motorbikes to see which is more compatible to your riding style. Me personally I preferred the Suzuki GSX 8s as I found more suited to my riding style .
Hi. Maybe could have gone with a 15 litres instead of 14 liter. Suppose it depends what you're going to be using the bike for. For fun on weekends and the English sunny nights I would think it's probably more than adequate. MAYBE!

My only gripe is that twins just sound like small tractors..! You just cant beat the sound of its 4cyl predecessor!

Yeah, I don't understand people that want it to be louder lol
So are you saying you have to rev the hornet hard, that it has no bottom end ?
On the hornet was finding it performs better in higher revs.
