Ooh I'm loving the look of the Ridge sweater! It's beautiful 🤩 As always, really enjoy this style of video. Thanks for putting in all the hard work of producing fresh content.
I absolutely love your aesthetic, Ahna! The video and the discussion depth is so perfect ❤ the ridge line sweater looks so beautiful! Can’t wait to see your cabled handspun goodness this fall!
Love these stories ☺️ your weaving project was amazing! The pattern and colors and whole vibe had me wishing i had time for yet another craft hobby. Can't wait to see your finished quilt curtain as well. I don't quilt specifically because as you said- precision is hard. But it does look satisfying!
my cinephile heart sings at the sight of this, Ahna ☺️ watching you weave was so interesting and I’m so happy for you - that you love your new wheel 🫶🏻 this video also really made me want to visit Minnesota!
Really loving your new podcast format after this second episode :) i was watching while knitting a Rota sleeveless top - I also have a Bookclub cardigan on the needles but I may have lost the last skein I bought... Happy end of summer!
Really enjoy your videos, and love your neck of the woods. My husband and I retired and r thinking of moving in that area. Hard to find much for sale these days! Also have been considering a flatiron or maybe a majacraft, which also works better for long draw. Good to hear your opinion on the flatiron.
I absolutely love where I live. I highly recommend the area. We had to compromise a couple things on our wish list when we bought our house but it was totally worth it ❤️
I just found you and really happy I did. I have a couple of traditional wheels and two e spinners but I don’t have any saxony type wheel and I too found the design of the flatiron stunning. I am worried the orifice will be too low for me though. I am a tall guy and struggling to spin with my kiwi 3 for that reason. So my question is: did you have this issue with yours too? From what I see in your video your Schacht you seem to be very comfortable on it. TIA and happy crafting! Adrien🎉
Well hey there! Glad you’re here 😊 I looked at my two wheels and it appears that the flat iron orifice is lower than the kiwi. However, I wonder if it would be helpful for you to have it off to the side like the flatiron because maybe your knees wouldn’t get in the way being that you’re tall? It’s very comfortable for me and for comparison I am 5’8.
@@brookwillow thank you for taking the time and sharing the info with me. maybe it’s a body posture/chair I’m using kind of problem. On my Dutch wheel it’s awesome because I can reach the orifice so easily and it’s a single treadle. I’ll have to think about it all before I commit purchasing it. Unfortunately in my area (Aix en Provence, France) there are no stores that carry any spinning equipment whatsoever. Happy tour de fleece femmes if you are participating!
@@partyfiesta1557I am participating! 😃 and my partner is a cyclist so he’s been watching every day. Also, do you have a spinning guild near you? I’ve heard they often have wheels on hand that people can test out. It may be worth looking into if you haven’t already 😊
@@brookwillow that’s awesome! There’s no guild in my country, unfortunately. I was lucky enough to find a vintage wheel through auctions and it crossed a few borders without a scratch! In Provence people are no longer interested in anything textile. Had I the financial means, I’d love to start a textile center like the one in Brooklyn, NY. Hugs!

Aww thank you so much!! I definitely feel a little stretched thin adding weaving to my hobbies but I love it so much so it’s worth it 🥰
So glad I found your channel! I learned to spin on a Kiwi 3 and quickly moved out of it. I got a Schacht Matchless and don’t regret it at all.
Oh awesome!! I was thinking about the Schacht matchless too 😃 I feel like everything Schacht has to offer is really good quality

Hello
Maybe you could share the name of your spining and weaving machines
Thank you very much
You bet! My spinning wheel is the Schacht Flatiron and my weaving loom is a Schacht Baby Wolf 😊
@@brookwillow thank very very much
