You are looking fabulous with that new hair!! No need to play around with those bags they just look great!! Great makes!! I’m about to cast on the drevo! I’m excited!! I’m definitely writhing I was there with you for Barcelona Knits!! Such great memories from last year!!
Thanks, Selma! The bangs take some getting used to- although I did have them about 8 years ago, so it’s not like it’s a new experience. 😂 I missed you guys so much at BCN Knits. It wasn’t the same, at all. I only stayed for a few hours, to be honest.
Beautiful makes, and I am glad to hear that you were able to avoid the flooding. I am finally getting through my copy of your Winterfell sweater ... I had to take it back twice because I wasn't happy with the inattentive mistakes that I was making. What patterns are good for that self-striping yarn that you have... it is gorgeous!
Hi Lisa! Haven't seen you in a long time. You were sewing and I'd switched to needlework. I'm still in Ireland and I see you are still in Spain. Wow! Your girls have really grown. I think it must be more than 5 years since I’ve followed you. Really like your knitting so I'm subscribing again…
Thanks for another Lisa Knits. I enjoy all your videos. I found your channel when you were in Toronto making clothes and had two little girls! Doesn’t seem that long ago but it was. I’ve always wondered what prompted the move to Spain. No need to answers or comment if the question isn’t one you wish to answer.
Time flies, doesn’t it? I’m still getting used to not having little girls anymore. Not easy for this mama! I’ll definitely talk about our move in the next video.
Firstly, your hair looks amazing Lisa, really suits you 🤗. I've made two musselburgh hats from leftover yarns and I love them. Great knits and look forward to seeing how you get on with your planned knits ❤
I've watched you since the beginning of your channel ( though I'm sure I've missed a lot of videos along the way just die to time constraints). I watched you take up knitting, and you took to it so quickly! My question for your next video is this: How did you pick up all the knitting lingo, and how did you learn about the different kinds and weights of yarns? Also, would you remind us what pattern you used once for a large shawl? It was like a sampler, and you did a follow along as you made it. It was stunning! I might want to try that before trying a fitted garment. Thanks for all your videos. They are so fun, interesting, and informative!
Thank you! I will definitely answer that question! I think the shawl you’re talking about is Shawlography by Stephen West. It’s a challenging pattern, but you can follow along with him stitch by stitch!
Your sweater is so beautiful. I finished my Plutolopi sweater/jumper about three weeks ago. I was so loose on my neck rib because I was not sure about how much to pull on the yarn, it’s a bit loose there. Of course, it’s neck down so very little I can do about it. Any suggestions? I’d like to try the unspun you used. Very beautiful❤️
That happens! I have a video on adding elastic to the armhole of a tank top. That will work well for a neckline, too. You just need some elastic thread from the fabric store.
Hello, love watching you. I do have a questions about being an XPat in Spain. I read that to apply for a visa, you would need to deposit $$ into the bank for the length of time you are there. Did you encounter this at all? Would you suggest a smaller town with good train access vs a larger town like Barcelona ? We had planned on a trip to Spain to meet friends but the we caught Covid and needed to cancel. The flight from US was cheaper into Barcelona then we were going to need to take a train about 3 hrs to the top of Spain. I am sorry we missed that. I also would like more information about your recycling sweaters for the yarn. I do not live in a climate now where we normally use the wool sweaters so what else should I be looking for in fabric content? I am currently working on the newest hat from JOJI, “a twisted affair” its free!! As I just learned how to cable and this is more practice.
Hi there! For a non lucrative visa (a visa where you don’t intend to work in Spain), you need to have a certain amount in the bank, depending on the number of people. If you search non-lucrative visa you’ll see all the details. I would suggest a smaller town, as long as you’re are comfortable with their being fewer English speakers. For summer sweaters to thrift, I would look for fibre content of cotton, linen, viscose and/or silk! Thanks for watching!
Hi Lisa, always great to see you and hear all about your projects. Just a question about being a tourist in Barcelona. Do many of your friends ever take on house sitters? I'm about to retire and thinking of travelling in the next year or two, and to offset the expense of accommodation a bit by housesitting. Also, th3 best time of year to visit? . I'm from Australia... and if it's better to answer this question privately, then I guess thru instagram is best. I'd love it if you get time to answer, otherwise, all good. Happy knitting...the red sweater will be so lovely..I love red too ❤
Hi, Deb! Barcelona is wonderful most of the year. If you don’t like extreme heat, then avoid July/aug/sept. I personally love November and March-May. I haven’t seen many house sitting opportunities, but I would check HomeExchange.com, and Sabbaticalhomes.com. I’ve used both successfully many times. Hope that helps!
I really love the colours in your striped sweater! Totally my vibes :D And the Sophie sweater is just amazing. I'm actually using Nutiden now for the first time (I'm knitting the Cascade Jacket by Odd Row) and it's definetelly not the last time. If I will have anything left I will consider making Sophie sweater too. I also love the colour of your Drevo Sweater, it's absolutelly georgous! Can you tell me if it would be easy to change the pattern - I love the construction of it, but I would like to make it without the trees. Just a "plain" one :D Do you think it's possible? From the pattern photos I think it should be doable, but I don't own the pattern yet.

Nice to see you again. I liked seeing your finished objects
Thank you! 😊 That’s what happens when I wait a month between videos. Oops!
The pink sweater is really beautiful!
Thanks! I’m happy with how it turned out.

Thank you! I did make a Musselburgh- and I wear it a lot- but it felt never-ending!
@Lisamakes yes that's true! 😂
I’m happy to have found your channel 😉

Hi! I’m sure you could do it without the trees, yes. Maybe check the Ravelry projects to see if anyone has already tried it!
…also, I will check out that jacket pattern! I’m in love with Nutiden.
Hi Lisa, greetings from Slovakia. My question for your next video - What will be your ideal dinner menu selected from Spanish cuisine? thank you
Ooo! Good question!!
🍀
Hi Lisa, I love the bangs, you don’t seem happy with them.
I am! Just getting used to styling them again so they lay flat. ❤️
