bought same set of wheels 18x9.8+38, wrap with 265/35,18. Stock suspension. However, passenger side tires are sticking out further than the driver side. Did an alignment, and wont help. Do you have the same problem?
Only the faces. Wait to do the barrels after mounting and balance. If you coat the barrels prior to mounting and balance, the wheel weights won’t stick.
CSL is 18-24 months. I have used and applied CSL/EXO on several cars, wheels, and products and it has never lasted 5 years. It'll bead for longer, but I found the actual paint protection won't last longer than that. Many factors come into play here as well (where does the car spend most of it's time - outside, garage, in the sun, etc., how often you wash, washing techniques, etc.). I take care of my cars and things and found it only to bead/protect 24 months. It's a great product, but find it starting to break down after the 2 year mark.
I see you never added the decal that came with the wheels. Could I coat over the decal if I put it on?
Yes you can coat right over the decal.
Been following several STI videos of yours, is there a reason why you prefer CSL & Exo on wheels instead of Gtechniq C5 wheel armour?
This was quite some time ago so never used c5 wheel armour. I use cquartz dlux on wheels now.
Looking forward to seeing the whole car after you’re done.
Greetings from Panama 🇵🇦... Nice wheels
Can't wait to see them installed, what brand tires will be mounted or if you're considering another brand?
Michelin as3’s+’s
@@Autofreakgarage Nice exactly what I have on my Evo, at first I was hesitant cuz I always went with the Pilot SS, but the AS3+ tread last longer.
You’ll be surprised how well as3’s handle for an all season. It’s impressive.

Alignment. Most likely your toe is off.
Did you ever fix this problem? Looking into buying these wheels come spring and curious what went wrong. Also running stock suspension atm.
@@FRGTNDRKNSS no, didnt solve the problem. sold the wheel already
Would you recommend doing the coating before mouthing them to tyres?

What is the brand of the prep spray you bought? Also why didn't you use the wheel armour from gtechnic instead?
I found csl/exo to be superior as I use it on everything on the car.
Spray is gyeon prep
what type of wheels are they? thanks for sharing your video.
Work zr10
Says in his title and at the beginning of the video....
What color code are these wheels, they look great!
Not sure of the color code but they are gloss black when you choose which color.
😍😍😍😍
😍
not CSL last up to 5 years? you said only 18 months...
Crystal Serum LIGHT lasts 18-24 months when topped with Exo. Crystal Serum ULTRA can last up to 9 years. You may be confusing the two products.
@@Autofreakgarage CSL, not this one? www.gtechniq.co.uk/shop/auto/ceramic-coatings/crystal-serum-light/

could be the heat that shrink the durability.
