Update, Shoigu has been removed as defence minister and replaced by Belousov (who is an economist by trade) and Shoigu is moved to the post of General Secretary of the Security council, that places him and Belousov along with the PM as one of the top 3 to replace Putin as President. Not exactly a demotion. There Times, didn't take much did it. 👍 Parliament has to vote on it first not not in Stone yet.
Shoigu (who's a reindeer herder by trade) failed upwards from corrupt Minister of Defense to corrupt Secretary of Security. What happened to (former?) Putin ally Patrushev is a mystery, though he's expected to avoid open windows for the foreseeable future.
Shoigu was not a military man, he was an engineer.
He was in China now with Lavrov and Putin. Those three men the main figures addressing China counterparts at the meeting table. So one cannot see Shoigu as sidelined or fired in his new role.

The access to the rooms, including the restrooms, was granted depending on the colour of the badge. The Chinese comrades did everything to show that the Russian delegation was "poor relatives" who were tolerated but were not welcomed and would be shown their place whenever possible.

Im British, I went on holiday recently to Russia. I visited St Petersburg, Moscow and Niznii Novgorod. I saw no one suffering from the sanctions that’s simply not true.
I think the only suffering people are having is the fact it’s harder for Russians to travel.

NATO started this war, refused a ceasefire, and peace talks, only 4 weeks into the conflict, and that's a fact.
How do we know this?
Because the people negotiating peace, like Israeli former PM Naftali Bennett, told us Putin agreed to peace, yet NATO didn't ( and twice btw).
NATO have been expanded, closer and closer to Russia, for the past couple of decades, after Bush promised and with Gorbachev this would never happen.
NATO helped overthrow an( elected) Russian friendly Ukrainian government in 2014, to help install a Russian antagonistic one.
Yet we're never told about this truth in the West.
Ukraine then killed at least 14000 ethnic Russians, on the Ukrainian border, whilst Russian tried to go down a peaceful and lawful route to stop this Ukrainian violence ( The Minsk Accords).
Yet crickets from the West about this, because they want war.
They want conflict ( Western politicians) because it's the quickest an easiest way to funnel money from us( the NATO country tax payers) into the hands of their owners( because our politicians are owned by these donors) at the military industrial complex.
Unfortunately millions will die as a consequence.
Either through this needless NATO created war, or through the poverty it's created throughout the western world, and NATO countries.
Our politicians are bought and paid for, to have forever wars. Paid to create conflict, and paid to brainwash us plebs into believing their lies.
And a billionaire owned media plays it's part in creating this perceived need, and acceptance for endless war.

There is a portion of the wests population that needs to believe their liberal homogeneity is functioning.
