The writers of the DALLAS reboot were initially planning to retcon the origin story of Christopher Ewing by revealing that JR had secretly falsified all the documentary and testimonial evidence surrounding his birth in order to encourage Bobby and Pamela to adopt the baby. However, the adult Christopher was allegedly killed in a car bombing and the reboot was cancelled. Thus, Christopher Ewing officially remains the biological son of Kristin Shepherd and Jeff Faraday in DALLAS canon.
P.S. Interestingly, both Kristin and Jeff conveniently died very early afterwards which prevented them from shedding better light into Christopher's actual origins.

No no, See, that was the red herring. We were all meant to believe that John Ross' half sister was J.R 's daughter. It wasn't and this was to be the big shocker in season 4. The sister was Sue Ellen's daughter who was born in 1967 a year or two before she was crowned Miss Texas and was still in college. Sue Ellen's mother kept it quiet and made Sue Ellen give the child up for adoption fearing the scandal it would cause. I suspect the girl's father was in fact that old flame from Sue Ellen's past who we saw in the New Dallas season 3 played by Lee Majors. Even JR didn't know about this girl until almost the end of his life. That was to be the big twist in season 4.
For purposes of clarification, exactly how many children did J.R. EWING leave behind ????
1. Eldest son JAMES BEAUMONT by Vanessa.
2. Favorite JOHN ROSS by first wife Sue Ellen.
3. Younger unnamed son by second wife Cally. ( JUSTIN or JASPER ?? )
4. Mystery daughter shockingly revealed at
the end of the DALLAS reboot.
5. The series writers were allegedly still planning to RETCON the original birth of CHRISTOPHER EWING by finally exposing him as the love child of J.R. by Sue Ellen's sister Kristen after all.
Just imagine... Seeing the Ewing Energies board full of an Army of J.R.'s.

+Sci Fi And Banter, at the time I liked it like that because the show is better. You can't have a SHOW without drama, I mean it can't be all happy stuff going on. You have to take changes, and John Ross took a lot of them. JR was the best because he for the most part was always in control of the situation. Sure he got beat sometimes, but that's the risk you take. You win some, you lose some.

How do you know this about Kimberly Cryder? Did the writers ever say this was what they were planning to do?
TNT, Bring back Dallas. PLEASE! I Beck of you. I need to know, what time coming soon on Season 4?
There was so many women Jr was with. What about Serena his call girlfriend or Mandy Winger, Marilee Stone, Mrs. McKay or April Stevens. He had a one night stand with Sly as well. It could have really been interesting if they'd continued the show. I was just sad to see Christopher die in the car fire.

TNT made a big mistake cancelling Dallas. Why on earth did they do that?

A JR daughter could go back as far as Kristen, Sue Ellen's sister. So many things surrounding that incident could have been faked and manipulated so as to benefit those involved by using those who were not.
