Great meeting you in person! Your booth setup videos have been very helpful. Definitely worth picking up a small battery-powered/USB rechargeable fan. Got a 5" square adjustable one that sits on my table, and it's been a lifesaver. Gets about 10-12 hours of life. Easy to pack and travel with too. About $10 I think, but worth every penny. Keep up the good work!

Great video once again! I had no idea there was trade show insurance. My con season starts in August, so I'm thinking I may invest in this if the prices are right. Thanks so much again for your content. Great info, and congrats on your successful show!!!
Glad this was helpful for you! Event insurance is starting to be more popular for cons that if you do vendor events enough times, you can consider the annual fee.
@@Mualcaina I’m suspecting too that even though most cons don’t require it I notice it’s a question on some of the applications. Starting to think that it might be a way to get in easier since they know you are an insured artist

I am verrry late to this video but I'm so glad Acen went well for you! I love your stuff and was so excited to see that you'd be there. It is definitely one of Chicago's largest cons, probably only second to C2E2 (which isn't anime centric but has been growing its presence steadily over the last few years. This year we even had a lot of the same big booths I saw at AX last year like the big OP boat.). The only thing that stinks is that we really only have two other local anime cons- Anime Magic and Anime Milwaukee. They're both smaller than Acen but I've definitely noticed a big jump in attendance and quality of guests/programming over the last few years. Unfortunately, every other anime con around here is run by a known abuser (Ryan Kopf) so they don't exist as far as I'm concerned.

Looking at this video I actually recognize your pins...but I was literally JUST getting One Piece at the time so I wasn't super familiar with the characters yet. Now that I'm caught up....I'm prepared to get so so many 😂

Something that may help those convention centers/halls is if they had a dedicated place for people to put stickers if they wanted. Like a mobile wall on wheels or something. Or a donate/trading sticker bin for people to drop off ones they may not use and allows others to trade if they want.

Do you ever have an issue with selling fan art, like with copyright/trademark??
I haven't yet, however usually AA is expected to have some sort of fan art, as long as you're not directly copying or tracing the material. Though some studios/works are more likely to go after you than others
