- It's almost time for conventions again! Here's my tips and trick to have fun at the con and with your cosplay, and I also explain like... what even happens at cons. Because I feel like people need to know that.

I always ask if i can take a picture but sometimes i ask to NOT look at camera and to CONTINUE what they was doing because i want to take picture of how people have fun at con
Totally agree with the comment of asking groups for help if you're alone and a stranger is creeping on you! I was going to a late night panel with friends long ago (waiting in a long line) and a random girl came up to me, hooked her arm through mine and started talking to us as if we were all close friends. I was super confused before I realized she was trying to escape someone! She asked if she could sit with us at the panel, I agreed and it was a great panel! I never got to say goodbye, but random girl if you're out there; I hope you were able to escape whoever was harrassing you after that panel!! We've all been there; innocently talking to someone when the conversation turns sour or weird, but you're still in a line or un-escapable area :(
Great tips! Boy do I miss CONS! May I add another tip? Comfortable footwear. If your feet aren't happy, your whole day will be ruined.

When I went to my first con I literally started crying because I didn’t want to ask people for pictures even tho I really wanted too. I didn’t enjoy myself as much as I’d hope so this truly helps a lot! Thank you!!💛

Life hack: wear a cosplay that you can hide in (like a giant pikachu mascot costume). People will want photos, but you don't have to talk lol
Awesome video! Personally I always bring a little safety kit with me at cons as well. This usually includes over the counter medications and personal medications. Band-aids too!
This is a great tip! I bring what I call my "emergency kit" with the same things, plus some cosplay repair gear! I plan to do a video about in the future 😊

I have been attending cons consistently since about 2018. And attended my first con back in 2015. And I understand all of these rules. But I remember my early days in cosplaying, and I didn't know these rules as I didn't realize that watching videos or had friends to tell me about what were general rules, suggestions or anything about how to survive a con. Here I have, years later with over 10 cons under my belt as well as over 30 cosplays under my belt. And have been wanting to share my take on what are general rules for cons

I just finished my first cosplay and am going to my fist con this weekend. Good that it's a full set of 3d printed armor that I can't even sit down in let alone go to the bathroom. XD I already have planned a backup outfit though.

Im 13, Ive been asking to go, they are finally letting me today. Im so excited! Though the prop is the only thing I made myself, itll be fun.
I have been cosplaying for 7 years and been to like 5 cons im here for ideas and bc Im lazying and don't want to make my cosplay.
Update: this even helped me even tho I have been going to cons and at katsucon my parents freind actually worked there and it made me feel more comfortable bc there was so much ppl lucky I getted to chill behind the counter

Great video! @6:52 my next costume consists of my regular clothes and a lab coat, so basically my whole medical career makes for a loooooong cosplay test run 😂; @10:50 this is so important, I wish I had been given this piece of advice at my wedding reception, I basically starved for the whole day because as soon as I tried to sit down and eat/drink anything someone would grab me and drag me around to take pictures - it sounds silly but I got a nervous breakdown for 2 days afterward, so please people let's be decent human beings and respect boundaries!

I'm glad you mentioned furry cons among all of that, cosplayers and furries are essentially the same thing. I do plan on going to both furry and cosplay cons in the future but right now I'm still new to both and young so yeah.

So I’m a MAJOR fan of danganronpa and I’ve been watching videos on RUclips we’re cosplays set up panels were they do things like play games and talk with a small room of people. Now I may be stupid but this seems like something that would be fun to be in the audience for or even set up one of the panels and do the talking and activities. I am just not sure if this is a regular panel that you can sign up for or attend or if it’s something special so if someone could tell me that would be amazing.

I’m going to a con in January, this is a small question but do you wear your cosplay and go straight to the con or do you go to a hotel first and get into your cosplay?
It depends! If I'm staying at a hotel for a convention I usually arrive the night before it starts, so I'll go to the hotel first. If I'm just going to the convention for a day I'll go in cosplay straight away.
I live in Australia and since they have removed masks and can go somewhere, I can finally go to cons😙
How do panels work? Ive watched so many danganronpa ones and have always wanted to be in one!
Good question! I've never been in a character panel, but usually you apply before the convention with your idea, and they give you a time in the schedule!

100%! Many people go to conventions in normals clothes, you definitely won't be the only one ☺️

Everyone spends differently, so instead of saying one amount, I'm going to list some prices for things you can buy and you can decide how much you'll need!
Stickers: $1-3 each
Pins: $1-3 each
Enamel pins: $10-15 each
Charms: $15+
Small prints: $5+
Large prints: $20+
Plush: $20-50
Figures: $50-100+
There's more things available than just those, but that's a general list of what should be there!

Question: whats the minimal age for going to a anime cos con?
Most conventions are for all ages, but many require that young people attend with an adult! Check the website and ticket options to find out. Usually there will be "youth tickets" for a certain age range (like ages 0-14 for example) and to buy a youth ticket you also have to buy an adult ticket.
question: how are the general admission tips different from the VIP/4 day ones
and can minors attend the events and like dance comps?
I've never done VIP personally (never thought it was worth it). As far as events, anything minors cannot attend will be clearly marked as 18+.
I was wondering, is it okay to vlog at conventions? Just checking, because I could accidentally get somebodies face in it.
Generally speaking, it is okay. Legally, you are allowed to film people when they are in public, but I try not to film people without their permission. When I vlog conventions, I ask the people I'm with for permission to film them. Sometimes I send my video to my friends to review before I post it, so I can take out anything they don't want online. My best advice is to use common sense and ask for permission when you can!
