thank you so much my daughter has a few of these in her first house after the electrician has chased out i think i know what im doing next week many thanks great videos keep up the good work its people like you that inspire us diy people .
Would you use expanding foam each time, or would you ever use thistle binding then filler on top before sanding and painting? How would you attach the pattress if it's loose... I've seen some just ue an adhesive on the back...?
I have tried using decorator's caulk for cracks because it's flexible and because I would expect polyfilla to just re-crack. It seems to have worked, but the repair was a bit visible from the start.
I have a question that im very curious about, how can you change a spot light fitting mine are covered in paint and wanted to sruce the ceiling up. Please dont say get a sparky im quite happy to do it myself if i dont need a sparky hope you can answer it. Thank you keep up the good work stay safe
Yeah now I need to find the money so someone can repair the wall around socket and screw it flush to the wall currently one side dosent screw down and there's gaps 😩being disabled can't even do it my self
that socket is badly install and been bagged with decorating caulk then to follow by peas off resistance (the foam) looks likes is been there good fixings.
Do you ever use the premixed poly filler in the tube? I notice you make a lot from powder so just wondered if you thought they where any good as I have a few jobs coming up that will require some poly filler. Thank you
How do you know when to use this method of the holes verses taking a knife and cutting out all the loose plaster and seeing how big of a crack it really is?
Great work, would this work on cracks on a swirl effect artexed lath & plaster ceiling ,I've taken up flooring and applied PVA to hopefully strengthen it, anyways Thanks for yours videos they really help

using foam helps give the filla support.
you need to check out Toupret TX110 filler. No depth limitation.
What’s on the rag when you wipe over just water or diluted pva again? Thanks
What is the foam he's using?

Do you prime over the filler before putting the top coat of emulsion on.
Yes, you can use a primer, mist coat or diluted PVA. Whichever you use it will still need two coats of your finish.
Great stuff. I have genuinely learned more from these videos than from any other source. Also just relaxing to watch.
WOW! lovely finish what a difference TFS
What was that foamy thing - I have just used ready made plaster to fill in where it’s been chased and it’s taking ages 😞

Do you ever find the expanding foam pushes the wall or wood out of shape after it fully expands and hardens. Thanks
Not really, it's all on how much you use. Most of the pressure will come out of your primary hole. Thanks

Practice really but usually you can tell by tapping on the wall how loose it maybe. Thanks
I hope u guys get enough work and keep smashing the vids out. Good luck, its going to be tough for the self employed especially 🤞
Thanks, yes worrying times, hope alls well for you.
You should be sponsored from that foam company the amount you use. And them walls are fooked
Look's like my local council did those repairs!
Do you always use this method for wall repairs? Seen a few vids and it's pva, foam, and pva, filler then paint...
Was that primer you used at 9.01 before painting it? If so, which primer? Brand?

Yes, it's like keyhole surgery.
Love your videos! A few months ago I did your method for cracks, but unfortunately a couple have come back.
Thanks, sorry for late reply, practise makes perfect.
Why do you use diluted PVA?
Job well done as usual. Life got so much easier for us after God invented expanding foam!
Thank you, without a doubt.
They would love you on English heritage
Nice one👍🏼
Thank you.
Whats the material being used at 6:50?
That's easy sand polyfilla. Thanks
You can't be serious, the final result sucks! So much discrepancy between the area around the socket and the rest of the wall!
You of all people should have a foam gun by now 😂👍
perfect every time as normal
Thank you.
Wow! Great job! 👍🏼I have to find the someone like you to fix my flat. Seems so hard 😐
Thanks for the video!
Your welcome, sorry for late reply.
