    Would you use expanding foam each time, or would you ever use thistle binding then filler on top before sanding and painting?
    How would you attach the pattress if it's loose... I've seen some just ue an adhesive on the back...?

    I have tried using decorator's caulk for cracks because it's flexible and because I would expect polyfilla to just re-crack. It seems to have worked, but the repair was a bit visible from the start.

    Do you prime over the filler before putting the top coat of emulsion on.

      Yes, you can use a primer, mist coat or diluted PVA. Whichever you use it will still need two coats of your finish.

    Do you ever find the expanding foam pushes the wall or wood out of shape after it fully expands and hardens. Thanks

    • @PaintingandDecorating
      @PaintingandDecorating  4 года назад +1

      Not really, it's all on how much you use. Most of the pressure will come out of your primary hole. Thanks

  • @wez9943
    @wez9943 4 года назад

    Do you ever use the premixed poly filler in the tube? I notice you make a lot from powder so just wondered if you thought they where any good as I have a few jobs coming up that will require some poly filler.
    Thank you

    How do you know when to use this method of the holes verses taking a knife and cutting out all the loose plaster and seeing how big of a crack it really is?

    • @PaintingandDecorating
      @PaintingandDecorating  4 года назад

      Practice really but usually you can tell by tapping on the wall how loose it maybe. Thanks

    Do you always use this method for wall repairs? Seen a few vids and it's pva, foam, and pva, filler then paint...

    Was that primer you used at 9.01 before painting it? If so, which primer? Brand?

    You can't be serious, the final result sucks! So much discrepancy between the area around the socket and the rest of the wall!
