The HAOQI Cheetah is an amazing budget friendly bike that rivals those that costs 3 times as much such as the QuietKat Apex. It will be tough to find many electric bikes which have a bigger battery capacity and costs less than the HAOQI Cheetah. Twelve hundred watt hours is substantial for riding on a electric bike all day. A concern on the HAOQI Cheetah is that it takes 6-9 hours to fully charge. The HAOQI Cheetah should’ve taken 3-4.5 hours at least.
A bigger 3.0 amp charger would have been nice for sure. I would have liked maybe the 2.0 charger for the 2nd battery and a 3.0 charger for the main battery.
I don't understand with dual batteries how you only got 31 miles. Seems very short for the amount of wH the two batteries provide. I would change to trigger shifter available on Amazon for around $18.00 and install an adjustable handlebar stem to bring the bars up and back for more comfortable ride As for the regenerative braking I don't know how that could be done with a geared hub motor. I also am wondering if there are any setting available via the display to adjust the pedal assist levels etc. Does anyone know what cells are used in the battery packs, that may have something to do with the poor range performance.
I am assuming the Battery Management System (BMS) is not the best on this bike. Regenerative braking hasn't been mastered yet so that's useless on an e-bike in my opinion.
Hey Scott, Thanks for another slick ebike review! Question: if you had to choose: this cheetah bike w/ single batt or the nomad 1 high step? which one would you decide on? now that you've experienced both? Thanks again...
Nomad 1. It’s still in my top 3 cadence sensor bikes. The cheetah has a much farther reach than the Nomad and a half twist throttle. Im more of a thumb throttle kind of guy. Plus, I just dig the looks of the Nomad.
Does anyone know about the brake bleed refill ? What oil do you use. A mineral oil. Or actual brake oil ? I emailed the Haoqi. They responded with actual oil. But anything I found on RUclips. Mineral oil is being used for Shimano gears. Just wanted to know if anyone has dealt with this.
Any idea if you can charge the battery while you're riding? Thinking about strapping an Anker 555 to the rear rack for an additional kilowatt of battery capacity. I'd love to see faster charging and LiFePO4 batteries. Although the lower energy density would result lower capacity... The increased charge cycle rating would be nice.
That question is over my pay grade. hahahaha. I know the regenerative charging it has thru braking is not enough to supply sufficient power back to the batter to charge it up.
I understand. What I do love about all these different kind of bikes is the different features each of them have. This one having a full suspension and double battery is something that I can see many people liking. I am looking forward to seeing how it does on a MTB trail.
Only 1 charger for someone who rides for distance is a con and I see why you need 2 batteries because it gives you very low distance compared to cheaper bikes . My Himiway cruiser can get me almost 30 miles throttle only at aprox. 28 mph for $1500
I have been looking at this bike but it discourages me to see they have already cheepened it up since most of the reviews came out. It now has a no name fork, floppy plastic fenders, and a different rack. Those are just the obvious changes, so you have to wonder what isn't obvious.
I'm relatively new to e-bikes and I've never heard of this brand. I'm a fatty and looking to change that so I need the 400 lb weight capacity. Comparing this to the Velotric Nomad. Looks like they have a pretty good Easter sale.
That's a tough choice. I love my Velotric Nomad. If you are looking to lose some weight, I would choose a thumb throttle over a 1/2 twist throttle. The thumb throttle has me wanting to pedal more.
Yep your fat gut hangs tooo far forward… not made for Big guys where the handle bars are not adjustable so you can sit upright. Really bad choice for big guys like me. Pretty stupid to make a bike to handle the weight and forget the ergonomics of the people riding it. Fail on no adjustable handlebars. Really, how hard would it be to make a bike where the handlebars are closer to the seat?
You need trailer with petrol generator to charge your batteries. If you like ride instead play buy Defender S with 2 or 3 batteries. Susspension is so great eats the most of energy from you and batteries really small.

Sure did. ruclips.net/video/G22x-psvAGo/видео.htmlsi=mK_QTIRKKLm6hiQ9

mineral oil is fine.
what state are you in & 12:52 wher is that locations looks dope
I live in Chicago, Illinois
He said he was in Chicago.
Hi Scott, question. Did you upgrade the handle bar? I got mine and looks like a bit short? Wonder if I can upgrade. Thanks
I have made no upgrades to this bike. Maybe they shortened the newer ones coming out of the factory.
@@scotthardesty the one I got measure only 28 inches. Thanks for the info
You mention 230 lbs. How tall are you? How might this be for a 6' 1" 220 lb person? Is this class 2? Thanks for the review.
I'm 5'9" I believe you would be comfortable at your height. It's a class 2 but can be unlocked to a class 3. I had it at class 3 for the testing.

Sorry doesn’t compare to your aventon 2 w torque sensor ( game breaker)

Me too , my aventon 2 is way better than this bike , if I had a extra battery it would crush this bike even more.
I thought they couldn’t do regenerative braking on a geared hub motor. I’d like to have regenerative just for reduced brake wear.
I don't think it provides enough to actually help.
Did you order from web site or Amazon
Are you using a suspension seat post on your Aventure's Scott?
I am. I love this seat post right here. amzn.to/3HHy2ni
You will also need a shim. 30.4 if its the A1 and 30.9 if its the A2. amzn.to/39B5b7r

I don't think this bike is made for long distances.
@@scotthardesty With dual batteries you don't think the bike is made for distances?
@@Hoggdoc1946 Maybe it is, but it took 2 batteries on this one to get the distance that I have received on bikes like it with only 1 battery.

same bike diff name as another that was just reviewed. welcome to 30 companies selling 1 product.
I personally hadn’t seen another like it yet. What is the other one?

Tell them how your hands hurt after pushing the handle bars all day long riding forward as your gut hangs down.
Forgot the seat shoving into your balls as you lean forward.. again stupid for putting the handle bars sooo frickin far forward.
I took this bike on an mtb course and my hands got numb. Looks like I am not the only one.
It is a long bike, that's for sure.
Toy tools and not real ones, depending.
This is why I use the tools that come with the bike.

Here in America, we have power in our homes. No need for a generator.
