I am not quite old enough to be a hippy, at 56, but I have been a fan since around `75, and saw `Momentary Lapse of Reasoning' tour in Toronto, in `87, great show! This music never gets old.

I remember the use of this song in the Laserium show at the old Morrison planetarium at Golden Gate Park in the late 70's. Definite tripsville, no drugs needed. PF's music has the ability to grab the mind and take it places with no chemical assistance. Add some visual stimulation along with the audio, and, well, you are GONE!
Thank you for reminding me about The Morrison Planetarium. I too frequented Frisco's GGP and always took in a Laserium Show. Straight, Acid, 'Shrooms, didn't matter to me as long as I could sit and watch the show! I remember when the show started with Journey's "Kohoutek" mid 70's!! I was always transfixed by the big black star projector in the middle of the planetarium!! Pier 39, Winterland, GGP, Steinhart Aquarium, Japanese Tea Gardens, Strybing Arboretum, North Beach, Frisco rocks!!!!

probably the best compliment i could give you on this video is that i'm thankful i'm not watching this back in the 70s when i was a teen and things like Window Pane and Orange Sunshine were involved...'cause i'd have been watching this for the last 40 years...on a loop...lol

i love the middle section such a hardcore sound the farfisa and Daves glissando guitar sounds so great! thank goodness we have these sublime recordings!i wish the floyd camp would release more footage of there gigs on dvd 70/72! Pompeii excluded of course!this era is the best floyd for me seemingly there live sound back then was ahead of most groups sonically and the pan pot system Rick would use live to throw his keyboards round the halls to each speaker stack and by this time they really had it down! the quad set up only Zappa used back then i've heard? another loner in the world of sounds!interesting side note theres a vid of Zappa playing with the floyd 69/70 interstellar overdrive a think on youtube?somewhere in Europe, so no doubt they would have discussed the floyds live set up!before or after the gig!cheers for my bable!

I love the video but it would be even better if the words ran across the bottom when sung, I think it's very important people know the lyrics. As in many PF songs, the lyrics are ripe with profound truth and wisdom. I wonder if the band even know the huge wisdom they have shared. I believe many artists share profound knowledge sometimes with out even realising what they have conveyed. I'd love a chat with Roger Walters. Pink Floyd lyrics have guided me since I was a teenager and do so. This is the song, that is currently speaking to me.
