I just bought a used 2015 ats premium performance 3.6 triple black with oem 19s shiny black. Got it cadillac certified with 30,000 miles for $23000! Sticker was $52000! I absolutely love this car! She's a looker for sure and 13 second quarter mile not too shabby!

Just bought an ATS4 2.0T. Loving it. Everything about it. Well, almost everything. Too often, I have to take my eyes off the road to do something with the infotainment system. But the voice-command feature handles most of it.

all the doubters need to be reasonable, this is Gm's FIRST attempt at this kind of car to compete with the europeans. It was a good attempt and it will only be better in the future...

I'm not sure in what areas you're saying it falls short. The interior is gorgeous, the engine is strong, comes with a manual, and the chassis works on the magnetic shocks(pioneered by Cadillac) which Ferrari, Audi, and even Porsche are using now. In fact MT's head-to-head said the Caddy had the better chassis, and was overall more fun to drive..... no surprise, it's not the first time Cadillac bested BMW, the CTS-V comes to mind.

Sign me UP! I am so very proud of Cadillac, it feels good to see one of our top if not 'the top' automotive U.S. brand(s) competing on a even keel with the Germans, i.e., BMW! Way to go GM! I have owned five Cadillacs in my life time and they are truly a wonderful car! Just the feel coming up through the steering wheel give you a feeling that there is something special in your hands...Yes I would love to own a ATS! O.K., now bring on the V series!

I have been wanting to purchase a BMW 3 series for awhile now but now that I see the ATS I'm going with the Cadi for sure. With not many of them on the road the cool factor is way greater then the burned out BMW. I'm in San Diego and you can see one at every corner can't wait to be the first of my friends with a Cadi they can't call the ATS an old man car anymore it's got style, punch, and its light. Finally...Thanks GM

I drive a 2003 BMW 530 i and its lovely honestly 9 years later and you can still see the quality of the materials but the one i got was in really good shape ive seen some that don't look in good condition. the thing that i love the most about my car is the finest while steering i don't know too much about cars the suspension is lovely. :) and like i said the quality of the material is outstanding and from what ive seen better than Mercedes cars from the same year.

A 321hp V6 is an optional engine on the car, as well as a 202hp N/A 2.5l I4. However, the only one with an available 6 speed manual transmission is the 272hp 2.0l turbo. The good thing about turbo is, you can always up the boost for more power. :)

"A BMW factory driver just clocked in a 7:55 Nurburgring lap time in the F10 M5. This makes the car 4 seconds faster around the ring than the CTS-V..."
This is a direct quote from BMW blog, BimmerBoost. You said "BMW never laps their cars on the Nurburgring OFFICIALLY"
Perhaps they usually don't, but they did this time, probably to ensure the best possible lap-time because they know the CTS-V is not to be trifled with.

I drove the new three series and the caddy cts, now the caddy is nice but it didn't have the sport feel that the bimmer had, the bmw felt more sport then luxury, but so well put together, but the caddy was also a great all around car, and I think the ats will do great, and hope it gets a v badge soon. Cause the cts v is no joke. Breath taking.

This ATS is to become the best of its own class, I mean back to the CTS if you remember, it was designed to compete with the BMW 3 series, but as we all have seen it came over it even over the 5 series.. But now GM realizes this class, and they put their every effort on it, so as what happened with the CTS, this one must be more qualified!

BMW pushes every one of their cars to the max when they make them that's why they're "world class".
When the Caddi released the CTS-V stomped both the M3 and M5 that were available at that time. Since then BMW has updated them. The fact that the ATS-V is the lightest in this segment and combined with Magnetic Ride it will be unstoppable for a while.

It will look good when you take it off the show room floor, but 6 months to a year later may be a different story. the only way to really tell if its a 3 series killer is to have both for an extended period of time.

Im´ amazed how the Cadillac´s DNA holds it´s own. I liked that edgy look from the beginning, but it´s quite a while now, but it still works, This Cadi looks very good for a sedan. Also i like that Cadillac has a quite straight open and forward strat on wich cars and brands they are competing. - and luxury has always been a Cadi thing so thats all good. Vid was okay, thou he did not seem to drive it a lot - when he said getting your line right i almost thought he meant his "script". Next part 2

I work for a BMW/Mercedes dealership and have driven many new 3series. Not having driven the ATS yet it must be an excellent car to compete with the new 3. For those of you who are comparing this to the old 3 series, just letting you know the new 3 is miles better than the old one.

They didn't care about how much, Cadillac just wanted to take the CTS-V around the track faster than an M5. That's exactly what they did, therefore they lived up to the expectations they set for themselves.

I am in the same camp. Hopefully the ATS starts a nice war between it and the 3 series, I love it when that happens it means lighter, faster, better handeling cars out of both companies. And lets be honest the good old 3 and its big bro the M3 have been getting way to heavy and a bit to big.
Here is hoping both cars up the anti.

If you look at or read almost any comparison test between the ZR1 and new porsche 991 the porsche (there have been several) the porsche always comes out on top, sure it doesn't run the quarter mile insanely quickly but that's not what driving is all about! It's about the experience, more power doesn't always make it better! I just feel that a porsche is much more stuck to the road and plenty quick, sure it will get beat in a flat out speed run with a corvette but in the corners they are bar none
