- Did you know we have between 20-49 lymph nodes under our arms which are very close to our breasts? (Lymph nodes filter out and eliminate bacteria, viruses, cancer cells and any unwanted substances from the body.) Most commercial deodorants contain questionable ingredients that come in direct contact with your armpits and that may or may not cause cancer related diseases... may or may not is not enough for me. This prompted me to stop using these kinds of deodorant 14 years ago. I now make my own deodorant and I can be sure it will not give me underarm lumps or expose me to dangerous diseases.

If you have a roll-on deodorant bottle, don’t throw it away! Clean it really well and reuse it to make your own natural deodorant! Chemical free, it’s good for your armpits and the planet and it’s this easy!
What's the reason for using coconut oil in natural deodorants?
Which oils do you use for skin
@@alasayed Coconut oil has stuff in it that can block odors and smooth your armpits
@@ameans6428 i remember my doctor told me its anti fungal
can i use fractionated coconut oil instead?
I made this about a week ago following your recipe except that I used fractionated coconut oil and a few different essential oils. I’m thrilled with how well it works! Thank you so much!
Hi! I’m glad you liked it! There’s also another recipe which is oil free, if you want to try it too. It’s the aloe recipe.
I love your honesty on those cancer causing ingredients found in deodorant so I value this content and I use most of those ingredients in mine and basil, bay leaf as well. New sub here
Oh so happy to have you be part of the naturally radiant life family! I also appreciate people who favor more natural ingredients :) Thank you for your support! 😘
Hi does this still allow you to sweat if not do you know of a recipe that would? thanks
Hi dear, does this deo stop bad smell and for how long ? Also does it absorb sweat and not leave sweat stain on white t shirt or is that not possible with diy deos in general ?
Excellent video! Love your top! Where’s it from?
Can any of these products make some side effect on some person or there is no chance ( if we exclude the baking soda of course)
50 ml of coconut oil
10 drops rosehip oil
10 drops Jojoba oil
10 drops Vitamin E oil
1 teaspoon baking soda
5 drops grapefruit
5 drops tea tree
5 drops lemongrass
when it gets cold your coconut oil does not become a solid ?
Arrowroot powder can be substituted for baking soda for sensitive skin
Yes! I use arrowroot in my aloe vera deodorant! Have you watched it yet?
Can we use kaolin clay instead of baking soda?
The best explanation by far tqvm
Can you type the name of the oil that you name right after rosehip oil please an thanks
Can I use orange oil if I don't have grapefruit?
Can I still add 1 tbsp arrowroot powder after adding 1 tbsp of baking soda?
👍 Great, keep sharing your knowledge Ruth! 💛
Thomas Pichon ALWAYS my pleasure 🥰
What will be it's shelf life?
is it suitable to use of lactating mom?
Pls, how do I get some of the roll-on bottles to buy?
Coconut oil is highly comedogenic, which means it can clog pores.
Is this sticky or tacky under your arms?
*UseFuLW DeOdOrant Recipe...* 👌👌👌
How long does this concoction last in room temperature? Also, does it stain the clothes? Thank you!
Very nice. And friendly way to describe ❤
Thank you :) I’m glad you liked it!
You can use a fractionated coconut oil. It doesn't harden when cooled or cold
This is the question I was going to ask...thank you! I currently use only FCO and EOs...none of the other ingredients she adds. I may try adding Vitamin E.
Hello...When you go buy coconut oil it has on the container fractionated oil? I usually buy it from Trader Joe or WF... I don't think I've ever seen fractionated on the bottle. And what is EO?
@@essence7423 Sorry...essential oil. I have a bottle of fractionated coconut oil which never solidifies and is used as a carrier oil for essential oils to avoid skin sensitivity.
I think fractionated coconut oil is best because it is non-comedogenic. You can look up a list of oils that are non-comedogenic and won't clog pores. Too many oils under the arm can clog pores.
Thanks for the recipe, I'll use arrowroot powder as I have sensitive skin.
Great! I made another deodorant recipe that’s oil free and uses arrowroot powder if you want to check that out too!
amaziingg ..going to try this
By far the best diy deodorant thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏾 ..this reminds me of trader Joe’s body oil … simply amazing 💕
Thank you for watching 🙏🏽 I appreciate it :)
@@naturallyradiantlifewithruth how long does it take before it rots i mean has arrowroots which rots so...?
also it doesnt have preservatives so doesn't that mean it goes bad fast??
What is a sign that you not tolerate soda?
Doesn’t it leave oily stains
How do I make this deodorant as batches.
Looks like a great recipe! I noticed you used melted coconut oil, so will that not harden once back at room temp.?
Yes it will. That's why she says "you may have to heat it up a bit before every use"
You can get fractioned coconut oil and it won't harden. It also doesn't clog pores.
Love it!
🥰 Thank you for watching!
Since this is mostly oil, doesn't it remain oily after application and stain clothes?
It does remain oily. And it will put oil stains your clothes.
It left a white spot on my black shirt
Thank you for these video this recipe
Hi can you type the alternate to baking soda for delicate skin? I could not make out the name you mentioned, thank you !
Arrowroot powder. You can find it at Whole Foods, your local health food store, or on Amazon.
@@naturalvee67 thank you!
Where did you get your 50ml roller bottle?
U can find those or eBay or Amazon
Hi Charles. That’s a reused bottled from a natural deodorant of a German brand my partner had previously bought. I simply washed it well and reused it. If you have an unused one sitting around, try and see if you can remove the cap and the roll on with a knife (be careful with your hands of course). Before buying a bottle, see if you can reuse one you already own, and if you have to buy an empty one, I’d definitely favor a local business over Amazon 🙃
i’m going to add some activated charcoal powder in this exact recipe. do you think it’s okay?
I would be careful with the charcoal because it will most likely stain your clothes
good luck wearing a white shirt with that...

thank youu
Wont it stain the clothes?
Can you just do almond oil, baking soda and essential oils. I dont have jojoba, vitamin e or rosehip oil
I feel you can totally skip them
Great recipe but my concern is whether it's too oily & will soak my clothes
Hi! Apply a small amount and let the oil absorb before putting your shirt on. I will also share another deodorant recipe oil free!!! Stay tuned!
Thank you 👍
Your smile is contagious
Thank for the great recipe. I am going to try it today. ❤️
Thank you! That’s very sweet of you and you have made my day with your lovely comment :)
is it work efficiently if we are not using baking soda? esp for strong odor of armpit
Does baking soda bring , postules, nodule, I agree ki , it works for odour but , I noticed, rashes, n nodules 🤔😴🥺🙏 plz help I wnt to be , odour free
Arrow root is a good substitute
Have you tried just rubbing on lemon juice for odor control? It works wonders!
If u have use dry skin
I have allergies to coconut oil what else can I use instead.
Hi. There’s another recipe on my channel that uses no oil. It’s the aloe vera deodorant recipe.
Hello, where are those bottles from?
You can buy them from Amazon
Hi where did you got your deodorant bottle from??
Hi! I reused it from a store bought natural deodorant :)
Can I sell them commercially?
All commercial baking soda contain aluminum. Buy soda without aluminum from organic stores
Summer n winterz use… .
Would fragrance oil be safe to use? I have essential oils but the first bottle I just made I used baby powder fragrance oil, glycerin, witch hazel, vitamin E oil, sweet almond oil and arrowroot powder.
Baby powder is not safe
İs fractionned coconut oil ok ?
Hi. If you want to use fractionated coconut oil because it stays liquid in cold temperatures, then in that case I advise that you use sweet almond oil. I personally don’t use any other coconut oil type other than extra virgin. The more untouched the better I think.
Will this solidify when it's cold?
I R If Hi. If the temperature drops below 25 Celsius, yes it will. However, it doesn’t take long to melt it again: just put it in a bowl with hot water, wait a few minutes (you can take a shower in the meantime) and done! Alternatively, you can replace the coconut oil for almond oil, I just really like the smell of extra virgin coconut oil 😊
If you're in a hurry and it's solid you can just remove the cap and scoop a little and apply with fingers
Thank you everyone! Great tips!
Does it stain clothes?
Hi. So far I haven’t had problems with stains on my clothes, however, you may want to apply just a little bit (don’t want this dripping from your armpits anyway) and let it absorb before putting on clothes. I will make another deodorant recipe oil free! So stay tuned if you’re interesting in watching that 😊
nice
I modified mine a bit, after i applied the deo i put a little bit of arrow root powder into my hands and rub it in
That’s great! You should modify any recipe if that suits your needs best. How did that modification work for you?
@@naturallyradiantlifewithruth it feels like it's not that oily unlike before
Great, now I have a bunch of bottles that costed me as much at 10 botles of an average deodorant from the shop nearby.
Intro sounds like a 2am infomercial
Hello
What can I use to substitute rosehip
@Ladybar Hi! Rosehip is a very specific product, if you don’t have it/can’t find it, you can still make this recipe without it...
But baking soda brings grittiness.
Baking soda is dissolvable.
Where to buy the bottle?
I reused and cleaned this bottle. But perhaps you can get a similar one online?
great that it's in glass, essential oils and plastic is not a good idea...for anyone that is sensitive to baking soda, try zinc oxide, it's usually in diaper rash cream
I would try to get non nano, uncoated zinc oxide.
What is the shelf life of this in refrigerator
Under the right conditions an oil concoction conserves for a long time (even without storing it in the fridge): don’t get any water in it, keep it away from sunlight and store it in a dry place. Was this helpful?
@@naturallyradiantlifewithruth will it last for one month
@@rebinalaishram9870 It will last longer than that, months even, again, under the conditions I described. Also, putting coconut oil in the fridge is not recommended if you don’t want it to solidify. You could also replace coconut oil for almond oil.
@@naturallyradiantlifewithruth ok
Baking soda is a chemical. Also, coconut oil doesn't freeze at room temperature, it solidifies.
Yea. MOST people understand that. However some people don't understand context and how it the word "chemical" is sometimes used an in informal way to mean "toxic chemical". When we say no chemicals we mean no toxic chemicals etc. depending on context and usage.
You don't use commercial deodorant but you use all commercial remedies!!!
Shelf life please
Unfortunately this won't work in a cold weather.
You can try it with almond oil instead when it’s cold, and back to coconut oil during warmer weather. You might altogether choose one oil over the other one, or if you’d prefer to not use oil at all check out my recipe where I use aloe vera :)
Coconut oil is not healthy either.
How.
Progres in the moisturizer haha?
Yoshi 7777 😬🙈 I have not forgotten, with work and life stuff, I haven’t gotten around it... but one day I will... before we die 😬😬😬
Naturally Radiant Life with Ruth haha thanks!
It leaves a greasy film all day and it stains clothing. Do not recommend
Do you put alot of it on? Maybe you used too much? Maybe that is the way the formula is. I hope it works though.
