Very welcome Abe! It must have been quite nerve wrecking, at least for the first 1200m....

@@AramTraining happened in practice many times before, usually it was me catching the crabs, 3 and 4 seat actually thought it was me who caught the crab.. haha

I'd love to see you take a look at the incredibly successful Italian Abbagnale brothers during their hay day in the M2+. My rowing coach told me part of their success was that they bounced their boat so little.

Hey aram, when sweep rowing, does having a bent inside arm make a difference. Ive been told by my coaches that it’s nothing to worry about, but I’ve seen no one else that looks like me, do I need to rotate my upper body more, or is it ok?

Not Aram either, but it would appear to me that having a bent arm means you cant use it to its full effect. In contrast, a straighter arm would mean that you could pull more with it. However, sometimes you cant have a straight arm, especially when you are a bigger athlete and should not sacrifice the speed of the boat by leaning back with your upper body an unnatural amount.

Hey Aram I was just wondering what the highest rate you should go at in a single scull when you are racing

Not Aram but from what I’ve been told it’s entirely up to you and the way you row. If you are comfortable at a higher rate then you can keep it there

The shorter guys have to reach a little further to match the strokes reach to all equal length foot print

they can use more upper body swing without being too long at the finish. = more dynamic
