For practicing at home, do you just play on your Mac speakers or do you have a pair of monitors/speakers you connect to?

Great video mate! If using the controller in a relatively dark space, is it an issue? Doesn’t seem to be illuminated that well?
It’s pretty fine in my experience, you kind of get used to where all the main controls are. The key buttons such as the play/ pause, loop and fx pads all are illuminated. Thanks for watching!
Pioneer ddj flx 4 output humming buzz zzz noise problem
Anyone can help me
I have an old school DJ setup with a 38 year old Ramsa mixer that handles everything. Can this take multiple mics? I have XLR connectors now…everyone says these controllers are easy…but I’ve been using DJay on the iPad…plus CDs…so easy…will this thing confuse me? Thanks! Nice simple video…perfect length too!
The FLX4 only has one mic input unfortunately. It’s a beginners controller so should be quite easy to get started with.
Just opened mine and wondered where the power cable is, hah. Solid ✊🏽
It doesn’t need one- just plug into the laptop.
Hey I'm thinking of upgrading to the flx- 4 from the ddj-200. I was using rekordbox and I want to move to sorato. I have an old mac that doesn't have a USBC port. Is there a way I can connect the USBC cable to my mac with some kind of adapter? Or am I better off getting a different controller? (Im fairly new to all of this plz don't roast me) Any information helps, thank you!
Yes you can get a dongle which goes from the old style usb port to the smaller USB C- can pick these up fairly cheaply on Amazon. All the best for your DJ journey!

Hi Karl I'm finding it a struggle to connect as its not as easy as you say it is. It's not plug and play I'm having difficulties trying to find the right settings to play
What difficulties are you facing?
Not all laptops have the type C port, so you should speak about that as well. Because there are people going on about how the FLX won't work on older laptops which is a complete BS.
Get a USB adapter to work on the older types? Works fine on laptops I have tried with older ports

Simply download rekordbox from the website, plug the controller in and away you go.
I’m using an older Mac which doesn’t have usb c ports, I presume buying a usb c to usb a cable will work ok to power and connect the controller to my computer?

@@djkarlthomas Hi Karl, I have another question 😄 what cables did you use to connect to speakers? Do you use xlr to single RCA? My speakers have an unbalanced rca input, a 1/4 inch guitar Jack and and xlr. Cheers

Have a look in your rekordbox settings to see what the output device is set to.
Can I use it for hip hop and house music?
Any style of music you want- this is just a controller which controls your music software.
What about if your Laptop does not have a “C” input?
Use an adapter to convert the USB C to the older style USB

Yes

There are adapters you can buy. Can buy on Amazon.

How do you mean?
can this controler be use with virtual dj as well?
Yes I believe so however you need be a full subscriber or plus license to use it with virtual DJ
