Really love your review videos. I think you're a big tech RUclipsr fan like I am (iJustine, MKBHD, Supersaf, Rene Ritchie, etc.). You are awesome at bringing this style into the DJ community, while also making it your own. Excellent review and overview of the FLX4!
@@ClevelandTerry say dj Terry I'm having a hard time finding southern soul blues music like t.k. soul, king George, tucka and so on, I have bpm supreme and beat junkies record pool but I can't seem to search when I type them in and what genre is that type of music? Please let me know 🙏🏾 and thank you very much
Great review as always CT. I bought this to take on my travels because it's a steal. For the price, it's incredible. It's very lightweight and compact, and you can pop it in a rucksack or a wheel-on suitcase (wrapped up, obviously). For beginners, it has everything you could ever need and once you master all this can do, then it's time to upgrade. However, IMO it is much better with Rekordbox than Serato, so if you use Serato, even Pro, it doesn't have all the toys.
Thanks for making this. This is the controller I'm probably going to get to get started....Mostly for Techno and other electronic but I want to understand what DJ's are doing more so I can factor that into some of my songs. Plus it's just another skill to acquire and hobby to get into. I make music, but this should help with that.. Solid review.
I'm traveling sitting at airport waiting for my next flight connection while watching this and then 3:12 "Tell Daddy how you want it".. and I straight up LOL "HAHA" while wearing headphones and noticed I kinda freaked out some people around me in the waiting area hahaha
Cleveland Terry, flex 4 or rev 1 for doing party gigs, being able to scratch but im not into battle djing especially at 51 years old 😂😂😂let me know your opinion? And i am on a budget said my wife so which one for long term use?
Can one use this with a Mackie Thump GO for a retail gig (like a space in Nordstrom for instance)? I was gonna connect bluetooth or RCA to XLR with a 2024 MacBook Pro 18Gb RAM and M3Pro chip. Or should I invest in a controller with designated XLRs?
@@CaseyFleetMediadude I have this same question cuz I recently got balanced cables for my studio monitors and I’m not wanting to use those other cords now 😢
I currently have a DDJ 400 as my portable setup for when I'm in clubs with a tight fit. Not big enough for a road case. Question this FLX4 has a sound card, the DDJ 400 is not. It uses the laptop sound card. Is this much louder and cleaner sounding than the DDJ400?
Bro I’ve been trying to figure out who you remind me if. The actor Isaiah washington Yep just ordered my flx today since they dropped the pioneer mobile app and djay pro official support to the Ddj flx 4

@@ClevelandTerry only in terms of transitioning with echo… but most of the reviews pick up on the “look! I slowly transform a 130 bpm track to a 90 bpm track while the software automatically adjusts the tempo and takes away the lows” phenomenon using in Rekordbox :) if your audience saw that they would probably buy this thing, for some it’s a really appealing feature, the smart echo thing is just a fracture of what smart fader can do on the flx 4 exclusively
This is the last thing I’m going to say to you about VDJ. When I typically release videos VDJ doesn’t have mappings yet. My videos typically come out day of or before the actual release. But that doesn’t matter because that is not the default software. The software I’m reviewing the software that COMES free with the hardware. VDJ does not come with it. You love VDJ. I get it. Let it go. If you don’t like the way I make videos, find someone you do like…or do them yourself.
@@ClevelandTerry I'm just giving advice. You don't have to listen. I reason as a subscriber that we want to see different things. I give you ideas for free, it's better for you. You will get more views and subscribers. Why not make a video with other software when he began to support it.
Coming from someone who just got rid of a Hercules Inpulse 500 and now I owns the FLX4. I can say I prefer the FLX4 but enjoyed the Inpulse 500. It functions in Serato a little smoother. It does not have RGB but prefer the feel of the pads when you press them. The mic also works easily while streaming and I had issues with the Inpulse from that.
“Don’t commit a crime and leave your FLX4 at the scene of the crime”. But you always kill it!
Good, short, and sweet honest review. I bought mine yesterday. I'm looking forward to rocking with it tomorrow. 👍

I never knew it was compatible with Serato DJ Pro! I'm still using my SB3 but I'm thinking about upgrading.
Not bad at all! Thank you for this showcase! Ordered mine.

I just found out that if you use type C from the controller to your computer USB, it responds a lot better.
FLX4 or Hercules Impulse 500? Wich one is best for beginners like me..
I got them both, but waiting wich one i will send back. Thanks
Does this work with Djay pro algoriddim?

I have gotten that many times. 😀
Any chance this works with split cue on Serato? If so, likely internally since there is clearly no external split cue switch.
Is it compatible with Algorithms dJay Pro Al app for Mac?
Yes
Yes it works fine- except you wont have use of all the FX.
Thank you !
Does this controller comes with Algoriddim Pro AI ready with License or purchase separately ??? ♥️🇱🇰
Through a firmware update could they make the pads RGB? Or thr lighting in general?
I'd love to change my color on it to purple fr

Make sure your usb is plugged into data and not the power port.
