the “you’re gonna love my boyfriend” GETS ME EVERY TIME😭
🤣🤣🤣I forgot he said that
Yep same xd jajaja
I love that Laika did that! Honestly their movies are so underrated!!
I heard he's the first confirmed gay animated character ever
Same. XD
I think these stop motion movies have such deeper meanings because of the amount of work that goes into them. Not that live action movies don't take a lot of work, but stop motion takes such hard work and dedication and love for the craft to make happen. All that love can't go into making a shallow story. Idk, just my two cents
exactly ! they don’t have time to add any extra scenes. everything shown in most stop motion movies has a reason and a purpose
Yeah U can’t take any shortcuts with this or u could tell. No cheap tricks. Or else it’s money down the drain!
I like that, that’s an interesting point!
definitely the message lied in the whole hanging of the fact that the kids are different, and were violently killed for being different.
Yup! Like how all (or at least most of) the hair on the stop-motion puppets was real human hair that had been dyed with human hair dye and carefully arranged and styled on each character, who all had more than one puppet model.
This movie had surprising deep messages about discrimination, mob mentality, and how we deal with the past. Note that the whole town has turned the horrific hanging of a little girl into a tourist attraction so they can profit off it. However, just like the ghosts that Norman can speak to, the past will not stay buried forever and we as people need to learn how to live with that.
They turned a little girl into a monster so they could profit off her death. There are just so many layers of wrong to what they did, which is why it's so wonderful when Norman reaches out to the little girl behind the monstrous mask.
@@oracleofthemundane9593 But not in one generation. As time went by, the actual truth behind her persecution was hidden through generations of storytelling, to the point that the actual nature of her trial was largely unknown, even to the town.
At that point, her legend was what she was accepted as.
@@oracleofthemundane9593 And worse yet, had they lynched Norman, they probably would've done the same thing to him all because they just could not learn from the past.
This was made for kids AND adults. The amount of innuendos aimed at adults is hilarious. Honestly such an underrated movie.
The thing is Billy, Norman and Aggie are actually related, but by Norman’s mom’s side of the family, since his uncle is Mister Prenderghast who is related to him and Courtney. Aggie says that the men took her away from her mom, so her mom must have had another kid to pass on the Prenderghast gift to. The line eventually reaches Norman who like Aggie was considered and outcast and people were scared of him. Aggie would be his ancestor.
Or her mom had a sister. I don't think it was ever said they were a directly linked ancestry.
Aggie is normans mother's sister
do u really think norman's mother was born in the 1600s@@rotoz4life664
@@rotoz4life664 No, Aggie was born in Puritan times while Norman's mom was likely born in the 70s-80s. At least 2 centuries apart. Norman's uncle, the homeless guy, had the gift, and it's hinted that the grandmother did too but it skipped Normans mom.
And we can assume that the Penderghast family passed down the duty to put Aggie to sleep each year since probably her mother.
LAIKA is a studio that makes beautiful, soul-reaching movies that NOBODY goes to see.
I know I looove Kubo!
Truly though, just the other day I talked my parents into watching Missing Link and they had questions about the stop motion and really enjoyed it and for awhile I just sat there thinking 'wait, I've seen all the LAIKA movies and they have not, they've never even seen a stop motion'. And it just kinda blew my mind for a bit.
@@floppsymoppsy5969 I was just about to ask if Kubo was one of them LOL
I do. I love their work
Right!!!!! They haven't done a lot of films, butbthe ones they have done are all amazing 💕
A villain, huh? A villain who loves the positive message and hopes we all hydrated. 😊
You absolutely right 😃
@@BillyBinges #bingers joker (Todd Phillips)
I cry every time I watch this movie. That scene when he meets Aggie and we see what actually happened to her is heartbreaking. And when Norman turns to dead town leaders and says “how could you?” I get literal chills. It actually sums up how people warp the actual events of the past for their own gain. Like how the townspeople made an entire celebration out of a child’s murder. And it also makes me so angry how no one listened to Norman when he tried to warn them, and then they went and blamed him! This movie has such a good message, and I’m so glad that you watched it!
Did they celebrate a child's murder or did they celebrate the legend of an evil witch, like their family did when they were kids?
I'm not sure which I love more, Paranorman or Coraline, but there's no denying that Laika knows how to tell a story.
Kubo is definitely up there!
Kubo is great, though I admit it doesn't speak to me the same way that Coraline and Paranorman do. No matter. If I could only watch 3 movies for the rest of my life, I'd be happy if it were these three.
ooh this is definitely my favourite childhood horror movie, it's just so funny with such amazing visuals and even more important lessons along the way. love love love it!
ruclips.net/video/3w19SAl1OBQ/видео.html may I ask what name of the movie in video
Same
Norman is related to Aggie, his uncle’s last name is Prenterghast so it’s from his mother’s side. Also #bingers not a Halloween movie but Kubo and the Two Strings is another phenomenal Laika movie
Ooooh, seconding "Kubo and the Two Strings." There were small tiny bits I did not love but the majority of it was FANTASTIC and I still repeat watch it on the strength of the animation alone...and Kubo's beautiful opening monologue. Don't Blink!
And alongside that I'd recommend "Song of the Sea." #bingers
Yasssss! I've been waiting for this one. ParaNorman and Coraline are those must watch Halloween movies.
I gotta admit, this movie surprised me! I'm hoping that next Monday will be #bingers Monster House or even next Spooktober.
Monster house is so good but pretty scary to
Monster House is a classic. Watch it every year around Halloween. Must watch
Yes monster house is one of my favorites
@@poolkids5216 when Constance comes to life?? Sheesh gave me nightmares for a week when I was a kid.
Supporting the Monster House vote again! #bingers
I LOVE PARANORMAN! LITERALLY. keep it up billy, your making the deranged version of Mya VERY happy. 😀❤️
This reminds me of Tim Burton's movie's, movies that seem like they are made for children but appeal more to teens and adults.
#bingers
- Don't Breathe
- The Ring (2002) & Rings (2017)
- Halloween (Franchise)
- Happy Death Day
- Escape Room (2019)
- Saw (Franchise)
- The other movies in the Conjuring universe
Interested in Escape Room but not sire where to watch it.
Happy Death Day is my cup of tea for horror. It is not too gruesome and it made me realize I love smart and witty parodies of horror films vs. the actual films themselves. I am too much of a scaredy cat when it comes to slashers and psychological horrors like Saw.
@@gabrielleduplessis7388 hey, escape room is really good, I liked it as it wasn’t a traditional horror that is gruesome and had heaps of blood and gore. I’m in Australia, and they have it on Netflix, so depending on where you are in the world will probably depend on where you can access it, sorry I can’t be of more help :)
Y'know, the girl who played Courtney (the sister) was in a couple of the Twilight movies. Her name is Anna Kendrick and she's in a lot of other stuff, too.
In fact, Courtney is my third favorite Anna Kendrick character. (Although I've only seen five or six of her movies, minus any sequels).
Wait really?

THIS IS MY FAVORITE On Repeat Movie! #bingers "Gnome Alone" #bingers "Monster House" HALLOWEEN 🎬
Monster house fasho
Wow! 30 likes! Cool 😎
Monster House definitely!!
Dang 87 Likes 😲 I'm killin' it 🤣
There's something called rigor mortis which happens postmortem (after death). Rigor mortis is when the bodies muscles stiffen so if someone is holding something and rigor mortis sets in it can be really difficult to remove from their hands. It's also why some male corpses get erections after death.
Billy smile is sooooo contagious at the end
From Laika directed by Henry Selick starring Norman, a boy who can communicate with the dead involving a girl who was accused of witchcraft and haunts the town
This is indeed a really good movie and my favorite part of the movie was when the older brother told Courtney that she's gonna love his boyfriend it was perfect 👌 I laughed so hard cause she wasn't expecting him to be gay I mean there were indeed flags going off around him showing that he wasn't interested in her lol 😄
"Why is she just standing there?" Clearly you need to watch more 80s horror 😅
Another another stop motion that I’d recommend is Kubo and the two strings, it’s so good and unique!
yesss love these stop motion movies; some more would be #bingers
- boxtrolls
- monster house
- kubo and the two strings
Yes I’ve been asking for Kubo and the two strings for a while
Monster house isn’t stop motion
I loved this movie and still do!! If you haven’t seen The Boxtrolls yet, it’s in the realm of stop motion and you’d probably like it as well!! #Bingers
The “how could you? She was just a little kid” breaks my heart bro 💔
One of those hidden gems that no one knows about
I had forgotten the humor in this one was the way it was, this was the perfect video for you to do commentary on! Sad Spooktober is coming to an end soon but glad we got some great reactions from it 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
I like Billy's comments on parenting issues in his reactions.
Agatha and Norman are related. Norman gets his ability to see ghosts from his Mom's side of the family, the Penderghasts. Note that Norman's uncle and Agatha have the same last name.
The scene with Aggie gives me chills every fucking time I see it. It's fucking amazing and i get cold sweats everytime I think about the amount of _work_ that had to be put into something that spectacular. Like god i am such a dork but everyone who worked on this film deserves the best head possible- *pause.*
That said also Norman getting his ass beat is a lil funny. Love him tho! But i do be giggling just slightly
I love everything in this movie. The scene where Norman walks in the street at the beginning, I cry every time, can't really explain why. It has a very special place in my heart
Same, I think it's the music or at least for me it is, reminds me of simpler times. When the music ends at that part it's like going into something unknown 😌.
YES Billy! It's a play on paranormal. Norman can see the dead and people think he's crazy (although he isn't- technically speaking). Your commentary was funny though😂💀. Haven't seen this movie since it first came out, it's wayyy outta pocket😭❤️
Laika makes the best stop-motion animated movies with themes more adult than Disney would ever allow. Coraline, Paranorman, Kubo & the Two Strings, Boxtrolls, and Missing Link are all fabulous!
This is a pretty damn good movie.
#bingers Ever After, Stardust (2007), Pride and Prejudice (2005), and The Mummy (1999).
Edit: Billy, I am washing dishes as you speak. I'm actually cleaning my apartment!
Never saw Paranorman but it was a lot funnier than I thought it would be. You also might like Monster House, another great spooktober animation! #bingers
This movie made me sad like poor wittle Aggie
It's so fun seeing someone react to these movies for the first time! Laika's films are such a gem, I can never rewatch them enough.
If you haven't, do you think you'd like to check out Monster House?
This is one of my favorite Halloween movies & nobody ever knows of it! Such a joy to watch someone enjoy it, I laughed through the whole video 😂🙌🏽
I literally just finished watching this with my little brother, it was his first time watching
“you’re gonna love my boyfriend”😭😭😭
2:44 Billy the guy you said you wanted to know his story, he was a soldier of somewhere and thrown in a river or ocean with the cement in his feet because there was fish’s around him. And thank you for watching Paranorman it’s my favorite and thank you for everything I love your content.
based on his suit, he looks more like a gangster from the 20's. probably got taken out by the mafia and went sleeping with the fishes lol
Billy: this movie is risky...
My thoughts: just wait..
This movie was wild from beginning to end!! what a time LOL
Atlantis for #Bingers!!
Norman should be a therapist when he gets older lol 😂
I love ParaNorman! You have to watch all the Laika Studios movies now - Kubo and the Two Strings, Missing Link, the Boxtrolls, and Corpse Bride!
The part that really got me was when The boy was like "yeah that's great uk you would love my boyfriend" I literally ain't expect tht 😂
I’ve been seeing so many people reacting to this movie! I’m so happy it’s getting the love it deserves! Glad you are one of those who enjoyed it!
billy thank you!!! i have been requesting this one for a while it’s one of my absolute favs 💖 this made my day thank you
I was so ready to recommend this movie to you for the month! So glad you’re already reacting to it!
Thank you for reacting to this movie. It's awesome. You might also really like Kubo and the Two Strings. #bingers It's made by the same animation studio.
Omggg ahhh I recommended this! I’m so glad you watched it and enjoyed it.
9:55 Yup, you'd be surprised how strong a dead body's grip can be on an item they died holding. Rigor mortis does surprising things! That's why they call it a "death grip."
The uncle's beard is giving me goosebumps.
2:17 Mr. Prendergast is Sandra's, Norman's mom's, uncle: so he is Norman's great uncle and since Agatha's last name is Prendergast, that makes her one of Norman's maternal ancestors
YEEEESSSS you did PARANORMAN!!!!! I’ve been waiting for this, so excited !!
“Let slip the dogs of war” is from William Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar.
I remember when I was a kid and my dad took me to the movie theater to watch this one.
I agree, sooo underrated.
I was waiting for it in you channel.
Love your videos so much!
AYYYEEEE billy coming with the bangers
20:04 they are related if you listen closely at the court scene you can hear she has a last name Prendergast which is the last name of Norman‘s great uncle.
This is one of my favorite movies! I’m glad you enjoyed it - your review made me smile 😊
Paranorman is so WILDLY underrated! I love it
I’m so happy you decided to watch Paranorman! It’s one of my favorites!
Omg yess you reacted to this movie! I’m so happy! #bingers I would also recommend watching Tim Burton’s Sleepy hollow!
this is one of my fave stop motion films! 😱 I’m excited for the upcoming stop motion version of pinocchio, and wendell and wild. love your reaction! 💜
Billy laughed so much during this video, and every single time I laughed too it's too contagious 😂
so good revisiting classics i haven’t seen this in years
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!!! Paranorman is my favorite movie!!! i think i yelled when I saw you posted this HA
Loved the content ❤️ Billy you are hilarious!
IM SO HAPPY WHEN U POST
If you liked PARANORMAN from Laika Studios you will also like Boxtrolls and Kubo and the Two Strings, two other films from Laika. Boxtrolls has a excellent performance by Sir Ben Kingsley as Snatcher and Tracy Morgan as Mr. Gristle. For this movie Ben Kingsley practiced speaking with his mouth full to simulate an allergic reaction to cheese. Kubo and the Two Strings in the closing credits has a wonderful cover of the Beatles song, While My Guitar Gently Weeps along with animation that is a work of art in itself.
I watched this movie years ago but I usually remember the main things. Scared Zombies, Ghost girl, Norman’s sister putting herself out there only to find out she was barking up the wrong tree.
If we’re keeping up with stop motion, definitely watch Kubo #bingers
Thanks Billy for dropping one of my favourite Halloween time movies. Just in time for my two weeks off post back surgery lol. Please keep it up! I love watching your videos!
Thank you so much for watching ParaNorman, it's always been one of my favourites. I swear, everything that comes out of Laika is pure gold. #bingers I think you would love Kubo and the two strings, which is my favourite from them, it's so beautiful
Paranorman was one of my fav movies growing up, so glad you reacted to it
Paranorman and Monster House are my favorite animated Halloween movies! This movie is so rewatchable and sooo good in every aspect!
Speaking of animated movies with great messages…A silent Voice is an amazing animated movie that deals with bullying, disabilities, anxiety, depression, etc. I think you will love and hate the characters. Another animated movie that has an amazing story but it’s so emotionally horrible that you will never want to watch it again is Grave of the Fireflies. It’s actually labeled as one of the saddest films to have ever been made. #bingers
Yay so glad you liked it!!! This is one of my favourite animated watches for halloween 🖤
No lie i was hoping you'd watch this!!!!! So excited
#bingers The Gentleman and/or Knives Out if you haven’t seen either. Both mysteries with great casts but the latter movie is decidedly more aesthetically classic. The first movie does have some very funny moments though.
He already did Knives Out.
@@thandondlovu5392 Oh! I’m fairly new to the channel so I haven’t seen a lot of his videos yet.
@@Pendragon-zw6jl No problem He's Knives Out commentary was awesome.
love the movie commentary's amazing idea and always enjoy your vids, quick question have you watched the pirates of the Caribbean movies because if not i would love to see you do some videos on the series
I feel so seen! I know it was probably a coincidence but Billy did two of the ones I was recommending (Corpse Bride and Paranorman)
So glad you enjoyed this! It was a great cinema experience- especially the part where the little witch girl was talking to Norman (before she beat him up) because it goes so silent before she whispers in his ear. This movie was surprisingly heartfelt and meaningful :)
Yoooooooo! I was hoping that billy would do this reaction!!
I love Paranorman so much. the nostalgia hits everytime
9:54
rigor mortis probably set in, that's why his grip is like iron. It happens a few hours after death, all of your muscles contract and go rigid (it's also why one nickname for a dead body is a "stiff"), meaning if there was something in your hand, your body is not gonna release it without a fight
also, I was so mad that some melodrama movie sued Laika for "stealing" a melody from them and Laika wasn't able to release the Aggie Fights track (the melodies aren't even remotely close) so I transcribed the entire piece myself lol (it's on my channel if you're curious)
please watch kubo and the two strings! it's another movie from laika studios which is the same stop motion studio that did paranorman, coraline and corpse bride. they're incredible and kubo is SO well done!
I saw this movie on cable a few years back & thought it was very good. I wish I saw it in the theater.
I didnt expect this but I am so overjoyed you reacted to this
I love this movie and Billy's commentary made it so much better.
I am with you Billy never heared of this movie before. But I enjoyed this 😌 . Thanks 🥰
A stop motion I enjoy and would recommend is Kubo and the two strings. You might enjoy it as well.
This is the best paranorman movie commentary I’ve seen lol it was funny asl I loved it .
I KNOW THIS HAS LITTLE TO DO WITH THE CONTENT BUT I NOTICED YOUR SHIRT AND WAS LIKE YO THAT LOOKS LIKE MY FAMILY FRIEND MIKE DID THAT AND I JUST REALIZED HE DIDDDD THANKS FOR SPORTING THE GOOD STUFFF, also love ur videos lol
This was amazing Billy! Thank you for watching my favorite movie! ❤️
it is called rigor mortis. something happens with the muscles after death where the grip was so hard since he was holding the book when he died.
I love Laika’s movies😂❤ Especially coraline and Kubo and two strings
Darn it!! Now you have reminded me how funny this movie is I have to go and rewatch it.
Yay, another Laika movie! Boxtrolls next please!
