1)Among the things that could be on the list, there are things connected to our 5 senses, it allows us to connect with nature and the environment we are living in. I feel like music, eating, cooking there are some type of pleasure that could become stimulant while our dopamine increases. But it is a gift to have them in difficult times. 😊 2) Romantic thinking and dreaming are also important, we are the one who gives a narrative to any situation, we could chose to focus on any aspect in a given enrionment. We could train ourself and learn to turn something stressful into something peaceful. 3) Having postitive impact in life is also gives a sense of contentment. Not only being able to bring light but sharing things that could give people great emotions, that creates good memories. 4) Finally, I will put finding harmony with the moment . It might sound crazy but we are slightly different each second, our body is different, our emotions are not the same throughout the day and the most important thing is how we flow. Harmonization is such an important thing. Finding what could be in harmony with your emotions might even help us create new type of sensation. 5) Bouncing back. We could be happy during certain period but it's hard to maintain that hapiness, we the level of dopamine dropped.(it's how our human body work). Negative emotions like fear, sadness, anger are natural and there are important phases to reorganize ourself. Bouncing back after a difficult situation always give me emotions. It does not change that we could find hapiness in the most unpredictable moment 🥰
@@lorenzocreation3262 What a great list! Just love this ☺ I really like your perspective and outlook here, what a great way to look at happiness in every facet of our being. I particularly admire no. 5, this resonates with me a lot too! ✨
Holly - enchanting and very very beautiful. 18 months ago, I started my own quest to build a beautiful and meaningful life. I have never felt happier. I would tell you more, but I am busy now writing my list! Oh yes, I DID like and subscribe!xxx
Beautiful video Holly :-) wow tomato flavoured bread that's something I never even thought of! Looks delicious. 5 things that make me happy, I'm going to share my list with you Holly. 1. Spending time with God, reading the bible, singing in worship. I'm a strong believer that God makes all things beautiful. Sunrises, sunsets, the stars, cute things that make us laugh, etc. 2. Music production and listening to music, my inspiration central. 3. Building things, I built my own high end computer, and it still runs beautifully to this day. It's my creative outlet. 4. Video games (yes, I'm a gamer lol) games where I can build things, and especially games with a good story. 5. Helping people, when I was in hospital with testicular cancer, I went around talking to fellow cancer patients, hugging them, praying for them, listening to their stories, relating to their suffering, showing them as much love as I could :-)
What a wonderful and inspiring list Stephen! 😊 I particularly love no. 5, truly inspirational and humbling. It goes to show how small acts of kindness can not only help others but also ourselves during particularly difficult times. Thank you for sharing this and for watching! Wishing you the best 💛
@lagomholly Thanks so much beautiful Holly :-) it was a very humbling experience that's for sure, you're right helping others also helps us. I actually love this latest video of yours to be honest, there's a sense of renewed vigour since you came back from Canada :-) Wishing you the best too and have a lovely week
Lovely video Holly with such simple, yet important messages! (I’m sure I say that on all your videos, I just love your simplistic yet wise attitude!). I especially loved the intentionality message in this video, intentionally putting “nice” things in the day (I have done this when I’ve gone through an anxious/low mood period and it makes such a difference). Thanks for sharing! Also thanks for the idea of putting tomatoes in focaccia! I’ve got tomatoes growing (waiting to ripen 🤞🏻) and don’t eat lots of them, so adding them to bread is a brilliant idea! Not made focaccia in ages so I might have time now. Enjoy! 😊
Thank you! So pleased you enjoyed this one and it resonated with you too! ☺ Definitely a game changer adding tomatoes to bread, so I highly recommend particularly if you're not overly keen on them by themselves! 🍅 ✨
4 of my 5 things, are………..1. Coffee……..love my first coffee each morning. 2. Music………can be used in so many ways to take you to far away places, lift you mentally and spiritually, help remember lost friends or family or even teach you things about life. 3. Meeting people ……. I love meeting people, years ago I was very shy and was terrified of it…….now, I love to meet and chat to different people about different topics. 4. Computers and technology………it makes me happy and makes me wonder, where things will go next, also how far we have come with technology in a short time.
Love this, thank you for sharing!✨ Definitely relate to a lot you've written here! Its a very interesting time to be alive with all the up and coming tech, I agree it's exciting to see where things will go in the coming future!
Everything you mentioned on your list shows your ability to channel all of these to recharge your self internally and I always see it when I look at how happy and passionate you are about everything you love….Holly your wisdom clearly surpasses your years and as always you look absolutely wonderful doing it….your videos are always a 10 out of 10…. And that bread you made with Timmy’s tomatoes looked almost as beautiful as you… left a message on your last video and I apologize for being late
Thank you for your lovely comment! Really appreciate your support with all my videos and encouraging words!🥹 So pleased you enjoyed this one especially! No need to apologise, I hope you’re doing well!☺️
Our lists are very similar. An early morning walk before the world awakens. Making myself either a matcha or turmeric latte with a pinch of cardamom. Caring for my plants. I love having nature indoors. Music. I enjoy a lot of acoustic guitar and piano, ambient, lo-fi, chill hop. If there are lyrics they need to be positive and uplifting. Cooking from scratch. It gives me a greater appreciation for my food and a deeper understanding of what it takes in order for me to have access to it.
The five things that bring me happiness: 1. Reading: I read as much as possible. I am still in the learning phase of life. (From books, papers, magazines, etc.) 2. Teaching: Being a professor, teaching every day feels like a wonder. 3. Cooking: Love to experiment with trying out new recipes and flavors. I often cook alongside my mother. 4. Hiking: Helps me to get a rigorous exercise and to connect with nature. 5. Conversing about life with family and friends: I cherish the time spent in informal discussions with family and friends. These are moments of leisure, where I can learn and grow through shared experiences.
I think it's important to work and strive for your goals, but also, it's important to spend a little time creating memorable moments that you can look back to. Time is passing by for all of us, and I'm so glad I got to experience so many things that I did. I would visit places for fun and it's sad when you look back and it doesn't exist anymore. Things are always changing, so spend time to appreciate the beauty of what is there. I mean, millions of years ago the continents and landscapes where in completely different places, so everything we see, will most definitely be changed at some point. So, take some time to appreciate the beauty of now. I think it's wise to chase your dreams too. Some people might be more extreme in their pursuit of it than others, and there are rewards for those who work hard. Still, even in these instances where you're working really hard, you should still spend a day out of the week or every two weeks or whatever you want, to relax. Thanks Holly, for showing us Timmy the Tomato, again. 🍅
Perfectly put and a wonderful perspective, thank you for sharing this! ✨ I totally agree that amidst the pursuit of our goals and dreams the most important is to keep one foot in the now and enjoy the moment for what it is! Something that takes practise but is key for our happiness and contentment. There's so much to embrace and enjoy right now should we take the time to embrace it, especially those moments of relaxation that can be more rare sometimes 😊
You put a lot of emotions and efforts to make out each of your videos, ( it has all the ingredients to make us emerge into the most peaceful environment and we are more receptive to connect with your ideas) . It deserves some thoughful feedbacks. Music, cooking (senses) are indeed magic and help rewire our mind into romanticizing things. The moment we are listening to music, we are actually harvesting our emotions so that we could travel though time later on by relistening to the same music. Our emotions helps us store memories into the right place and music could only amplify that process . Sometimes we might associate music with all the moments we had and it helps us reminisce about our past. Nostalgia is a beautiful feeling because it is a contrast between sorrow and hapiness, it allows us to romanticize about the difficult time to turn it into motivation and a pleasant moment. BTW, Vampire Weekend is one of the most creative brand and it is a mixed of vintage vibe with modernity (perfect to give nostalgia).
Thank you for your lovely comment and sharing this! I've never thought about it from that perspective before but relate deeply with how nostalgic music can be - something Vampire Weekend have long been able to evoke in me ✨ So nice to relate to a fellow fan! ☺
Not only would I like to slow down, I also want to make others happier and help them along and just be gentle and considerate and show some kindness that this world is losing with each passing day
What are some of the things on your list?☺
