I was at one of their concerts years ago where James broke a string on his guitar in the middle of a song. He just immediately took it off and his tech was there in about 5 seconds with another guitar ready to continue the song. It helps to have a team who is on their game and knows exactly what you need when something like that happens
But when James hands starts playing.... All universal gaps instantly closing

His guitar tech had a backup to swap out instantly. Not to mention, tuning a guitar during the grand opening number is a bad look!

@@LuminexYT its a bad look on the tech/backing crew.... the first guitar you hand off to open the set off, especially with the electra, is out of tune? pretty bad fuck up.

It's possible, but it's just as fast to swap it. Also James opened here with his famous Electra V (his oldest guitar), which is around 45 years old. And mind you it's no high-end guitar. It was a no-name, $200 laminated body guitar he put better pickups and hardware on. It's been through hell for all these years, with its neck destroyed and repaired countless times. Probably why James wasn't mad at it, like he would be with his Gibsons and ESPs.

@@user-dw8mj8tb2l I'm not talking about Lars being out of sync, I'm talking about the fact that he's not playing the correct *beat* at all.
The part at 1:15 he plays the snare on 1 & 3 and kick on 2 & 4. Which is the complete opposite of what it should be, kick on 1 & 3 and snare on 2 & 4.
So it feels like hearing the riff in reverse.
I know you are proud of your insane punchline and couldn't wait to use it somewhere online but unfortunately it didn't work.

Kirk is so quiet in the mix.
Phones aren't very good for picking up a full live mix. All you have to do is be anywhere near a stage monitor for that particular musician and that's all you're gonna get. I would also say that you are going to hear more of Hets rhythm guitars over Kirk, until the solos and harmonies kick in, which are boosted.
@@Axl_Pose I agree that James's mix would be louder, I just assumed. But was still surprised how low Kirk's was.

Unlikely. It clearly wasn't tuned below E-flat. And the only other tuning they really use live is D, for Sad But True. And his Electra is never tuned to D.

@@tonysegalini2528 they where metal in the 80’s. Then they mixed their sound between heavymetal/hardrock/blues. And became one of the biggest bands in the world
