best video on this task ive seen especially the explanation on the orientation of upper valve, and the purpose of bleeder holes on valves, great job Thanks.
Mechanic is clear & easy to understand. Need far less or no music & some really good close ups. His back is to the camera most of the time when he's working on removing the key parts. Did the mechanic install a gasket on the water valve t-stat prior to replacing???
Thank you for the video! Makes perfect sense. Music isn’t a poor choice or too loud. Those that can’t focus while music is playing are soft and have weak bloodlines.
Very informative about the overall procedure. But it would be nice if you re-edit the video by inserting the close-up how you replace the thermostat as well as the tricks. Again thank you and keep posting new videos.
Hello. I have a 2010 Altima 2.5L. My check engine light is on due to a thermostat warning. My engine heats up a little late but not too late. When I took out the thermostat, the top part was completely close and the bottom completely open. What can be the problem? TY
Great video my man ! I was wondering about that funnel you used at the end ,Was that used to prevent air bubbles going into the system so it doesn't overheat? I noticed u never mentioned an air bleeder valve like what my Dodge charger has whenever I have to work on my cooling system I always have to bleed it out or she'll overheat.
Yes, the diagram shows spring towards engine. However, when I removed mine, spring was facing away from engine. And, every you tube video of someone working on the 2007 Altima, also, facing AWAY from engine.
Would’ve been better to have someone recording up close so we can see what are you doing which bolts are you removing. you left the camera far away The music is louder than you
Only video on RUclips on how to swap thermostats for this model Nissan. No close up. just points at the engine 😒 very helpful! it’s the two bolts right there and right there. Dude there’s 10 million bolts on the entire car! Where at exactly!? Zoom in! Then work
My God, that bolt right underneath the heater pipe defeated me. The problem is that the heater pipe needs to be removed in order to get access to that bolt. I removed the front bolt of the pipe and there was no way it would come off... I wish you showed with a lot more detail how to remove it.
Great and helpful. I just changed my Thermostat on my altima . I put the top Thermostat backwards the 1st time. After watching your video i fixed it. Could it be messed up now. Cuz my car is still overheating.
Probably a dumb question but is the 2 thermostats the same? I gotta change them P0128 code came up. I already changed the sensor so i gotta change the thermostats now. 2007 nissan altima 2.5s (4 cylinder ).
The two thermostats have a different part number... check the video description if you need to replace one or both. The car had a thermostat that stayed open because it would take a long time to warm up.
Leave. Metal gasket on and put new on top to aboid leaks soft gasket wont stop leaks double work. It happen to me. Then i left old metal gasket with new on top and good as new. 👍
Wowwww...I actually just peeked at the comments below...people can be people sometimes it seems...anyways, I thought u did an awesome job of presenting...good on u!
Yes he does good work but honestly that loud music is a distraction and as a professional im sure a boss would not like u listening to such loud music i need to focus on the job t hand especially if ur going to explain it to someone els.
@@JohnwOrtiz-eh9zn ...”as a professional”...a most often misused and ill-conceived phraseology...pardon my French, but what the F does that mean...some do their best work while jamming out...not everyone is a damn square...and I’m damn glad of it...have a great day sir
C’mon man, he’s not doing this for people with a Chevy Cruze. Like, whoah, he might be doing this for people with a level of comprehension higher than a toaster.
Please, please, please put the camera where we can see what you are doing. This is not the way to make a repair video. Check out what other RUclipsrs do when they make a repair video.
Good thing he doesn’t require your validation or to conform to what anyone else is doing. Welcome to RUclips. If the difference between his video and others causes an anger within you, you are showing signs of autism. Not a bad thing. Just learn how to cope with subtle differences and you’ll manage nicely.
@@cameranbarbieux2802 😂😂😂 bro stop dick riding I've seen you comment on everyone else's comment defending the RUclipsr be realistic not everyone is gonna like the video
This ain’t a tv show. Do you have an Altima for reference? Because I do, and it made perfect sense. The music is lower than the voice, take your ADD meds.
For the upper radiator hose thermostat, the diagram shows spring towards engine. However, when I removed mine, spring was facing away from engine. And, every you tube video of someone working on the 2007 Altima, also, facing AWAY from engine. For the life of me, I could not get my thermostat with new or old seal to squeeze back into the recessed housing. I finally had to remove just a hair of material around the thermostat itself (decreasing its diameter) in order for it to fit properly, and it was genuine Nissan from the dealer. Another thing, my original thermostat was 95c, while the replacement was 82c. Dealer says they changed it, just like they changed the radiator cap pressure threshold.
It made perfect sense to me. If you have an Altima, you know what he’s talking about. If not, then this video isn’t for you and doesn’t need your validation. Hope your thermostat replacement is successful.
Definitely not a six cylinder. This is a 2.5S. You can tell by the plastic wheel covers, and the plastic sound insulator cover on the motor. As well as the exhaust heat shield in front.
Honestly bro you have allot to learn about making an instructional video. You lack allot of confidence when your explaining things. You may want to invest into a head cam since you don't have a camera man. I admire your enthusiasm but maybe take the time to watch other RUclips channels before going on your own. Don't give up keep trying! Good luck
Music came as ADD kids might get distracted by the lack of action by coolant pouring. Now the autistic have a problem focusing while low music plays. He doesn’t require anyones validation, but I heard and understood what he was doing just fine.

Im sorry as i said last time we can't hardly hear you with that loud music in the background u really need to fix that issue first before u explain about any repairs to any cars ok i do work on cars and i would never have loud music distracting me please fix this issue first thank you.

You must remember that you’re dealing with immature mechanics, we need a closer shot so we can see Utah well but we couldn’t see a thing you were doing thought it was great that you took the time but you still need to show us more we can’t see anything you’re doing anything
Less music, more camera angles.
Good instructions but needs a lot less music and a lot more close up shots
Being a bit of a novice ,i just couldn't see enough of what you were doing
Thanks for a good how to video. Not sure why folks are throwing the hate on the music or your narrative. Seems pretty clear to me.
That funnel is awesome. Never saw it before.

Thanks for the comment, greatly appreciated. The Thermostats come with an O-Ring on them so no need for the conventional gasket or silicone.
Good video, I only have a doubt about the torque needed for each bolt?
Awsome job.i like how you showed it step by step.thumbs up.love the video.

Ok I am late to the show ..working on the car now.. that metal pipe next to the main thermostat, do you need to remove it to get to the bottom bolt?
Did I miss the part where you which thermostat goes in each location since they have two different temperature ratings?
shut the music off. hard to hear or understand you.
Top thermostat the 200*? Lower 180*?
I have a video on my channel for anyone to refer too. More detail in where the bolts are and what needs to be removed.

Personally, I'd trust the official FSM's on this topic that specify both thermostats facing SPRING TO BLOCK.
what is the used of this video if i can't see what the hell are he doing...
Thank you great tips, on how to get the job done right.
Thanks bro! Awesome stuff man
Why do these engines have 2 thermostats?
Very professional. Thank you sir!
Great video and how much a mechanic would charge for this job
Great Video, does the thermostat with only 2 bolts (the easy one) require a gasket? Thanks
it doesn't have a traditional gasket. the thermostat has a built in o-ring style gasket around the outside of the thermostat itself.
Thanks for the information! That's all I needed to know to start and complete the mission.
Very helpful video! Thank you!
Pretty much what i needed to know.. Thanks for info
@bryan guilliene there might be a crack in one of the hoses or the heater core crack.. Otherwise it's probably needs tighten on the hose clamp

Can you do a video of how to replace a radiator on a 2007 altima? Great video btw!
Junie luv that’s easy you can find it on RUclips
Are both thermostats the same?
No, the front one is 180 deg and the side one is 203 deg.
Gauge going crazy but car dont overheat is the thermostat the problem or sensor idk
Usually heater not working(blowing cold air)is first symptom of failing thermostat. Of course engine light on.
music too loud friend I can't hear anything you say
Great info; music is too loud.
When filling with coolant, how long did you keep the engine at 2000 rpm ?
I think I ran the car for about 5 minutes. It's best to run it until the fan turns on.
How about getting a direct fit cat on a driver's side 2004 Audi A6 3.0 ...without being up in the air
Can't see what your doing
Loud irritating music.
Hey when replacing the Main thermostat do you still need to drain the coolant?

Great job safety first. Always disconnect ur battery.,
You shd have show the thermostate how you are removing
That would require taking off both radiators and grill. He explains what he did. He doesn’t required your validation.

Why music in the background,? distracting.
And you are?
the top thermostat goes with the springs away from the block
Always try to take pictures when disassembling to then put parts back.
The part I got shows the springs of top one going towards the block. Which is correct?
The official FSM's specify both facing SPRING TO BLOCK.
