Don, I attempted to say something negative to all the negative jerks...but then I realized you can't change ugly. I think you did a wonderful job on this home and I am seriously considering when I have my own built-coming to you. Because your are awesome and did a wonderful job.
A very pretty home and I am happy for her. Wood knots can add character ..... certainly proof that it real wood. Once she has her decor and personal items to in ... it will blend in nicely. I hope she doesn't see the negative comment. I wouldn't rain on anyone's parade. Great job of designing. From a gal that lives in a brick home .... but, would be happy in this place! Enjoy!!!!!
Well I think it’s absolutely beautiful and the customer designed the floor plans and it’s her money and so it’s her choices that matter. To me personally it would be a huge mansion. I live in a 50 year old but thankfully still in tact and standing 10 X. 50 2 bdrm & 1 bath trailer on about 2 acres. It’s old but so am I 😁 and I am grateful to have a home with no mortgage. Thankful to GOD, and my sister. No complaints, it’s all good. Thanks for sharing . 👍🏻👍🏻🐊
PATRICIA DAVENPORT: I bought a 1971 2 bdrm 1 bath home for $2000 in 2010. I sold it in 2017 as I moved out of state, but that place was solid as a rock with a sunken living room. It was built better than most homes, and I miss it terribly. It just needed paint and carpet. I have a newer double wide, and the quality is so bad in comparison.
I think Patricia was just stating her thankfulness for having a home. Some people can do this. I agree with Patricia 100% it's nice and her color choices are hers. Some people don't care for that color just a fact of life. I also have a mobile home, not ancient and don't owe anything on it. I also am thankful that I have a roof over my head. I am on disability from working very hard for many years. I can afford to live in it w/o going to a low-income housing or retirement home. It is a very nice home though I would have used different colors BUT it isn't my home. I am very happy for this person just stating an opinion.
I too live in an old mobile home...I call her Lucy. She was built in 1959. Almost as old as I am! I live at the beach and while I don't have a beach view, I can hear the ocean and I can easily walk to the beach. Lucy is a 10x40 with a room added on for laundry; freezer, etc. I saw her. I loved her. There is a greenway in back so no neighbors there. I own the lot and only this year, I've owned her 8 years, do I have full time neighbors on either side. I like the small size. I like not having a mortgage. I have no regrets about buying her. I like showing her off although sometimes others just don't see the charm in the small space and simple living.
Two bedroom, one bathroom is plenty. Live with your sister, nice. Smaller= paid off, no mortgage. And less to heat and cool. Good choice lady. Also, easy to clean quickly.
it just takes one simple video that shows someones home that makes all these "home experts" come out and comment. like it's a nice home. like there is a comment here talking about there is not enough counter space or an island. what if she is going to live here by herself or with one more person. the amount of room she needs is different than what the next person may need. this house is beautiful.
Not if youve shopped mobile homes and looked at your fair share. I did and I live in a 1,200 sq ft 2-bedroom with a sun room. So this home may fit her but the things you normally want are not in this home and I wouldnt buy it.
Oh my God! Normally would want in a home. A roof, heat, running water, bathroom, kitchen? Um..I think I saw all of that and more. Oh yeah, electricity too! You tell em!!! Half of the people making the negative comments are struggling to pay for a house to impress people who couldn't give 2 craps about them in the first place. If this home is what this lady can afford and what SHE likes, and SHE has to pay for, then GO HER!! I hope she enjoys her new home.
Exactly. I have lived in used and new single and double sides and they can be just as nice as a house. A lot of people talking about cement foundations and brick homes but I got news for them , wait till they have to do any foundation or roof repairs, it will cost as much as this mobile home cost. I have family who live in homes with cement foundations and have spent tons of money on them. To me it's not worth it. Give me a mobile home anyday. Easier to clean, cheaper to work on and if you wanna move, pick it up and go.
Just gotta say it . . . I watch and enjoy a simple video . . . and then unfortunately I read the negative comments and have to go watch a puppy vid to bring my spirits back up. Humankind is sorely in need of a kick in the ass (pardon my language🙄)
What one person finds beautiful another may not. Just because people voice their dislike for a particular home doesn't make them terrible people. If you don't like the comments then go and troll someplace else.
Amen. Every single person has their own vision of what a "White Picket Fence" home looks like. Personal taste, finances, and stage in personal life (age, married, roommate, children, grandchildren, etc) all contribute to selecting a WPF (White Picket Fence) home. Loved the video and hope she has many wonderful and happy years in it!
Wow! I bought a brand new 14' x 76' Oakwood 'Home Entertainer' model back in 1999 that I'm still very pleased with. Looked at brand new Oakwoods / Claytons recently - they've come a long way! This Oak Creek Home is truly impressive.
Love the way the way the red accent wall shows through! The owner can do a beautiful wood trim on the bath mirrors to make those pop. Double wides do go cheaper then this where i live, but i do admit this is beautiful! I've lived in 2 trailors and never again due to security issues. Was broken into twice. Its like living in metal and cardboard.
Many years of memories. The huge cabinet in kitchen should have pull out draws being so deep. I put them in mine... Things get lost way in the back... Lol. Beautiful home♥️✌️🙏
Wow that is a really awesome looking home. Why do people seem to think that if you live in a trailer you're less than others. This looks better than some home I have seen that weren't a trailer for sure. Is that an estimated cost?
They used to be trailers cuz they were made with 1x2 wall studs and were flammable. After 1996, they are coded as mobile homes, as they are built like modular homes...sturdy, non-flammable, and use 2x4 wall studs, and 2x6 floor joists.
@@DianeHasHopeInChrist Congress changed the law in June of 1976. Anything built after that date is a manufactured home and can get loans and insurance on it.
A person's home is usually a personal choice. That's what I like about touring homes. We are in a country, at least for now, where we're free to make our own decisions. So to me like it or not, it isn't your home. This lady I'm sure put a lot of time into all facets of her home. And I must say she has a beauty.
Good point, I went back to watch it and check that out. I think I would end up putting a plant there, since it wouldn't be too hard to water and would get sun from the windows. Do you think that would work?
Just a few suggestions for future design. Lower the bar height to counter top and extend for dining, would open the kitchen up further. Deep cabinet over the fridge. Option for taller base and crown. Nice layout!! Beautiful home or single wide!!
WynnKidsNanny LoriVance What? Every trailer I've ever seen had this exact same layout...unless you got the corner garden tub that's typical on cheap trailers.
Hello Everyone! I really appreciate all the comments, do to the overwhelming response to this home and others it has been nearly impossible to respond to each individual. If you have questions, please email me at don.provost@oakcreekhomes.com or call/text me at 325-267-9787. When I originally started this channel it was for my customers to view the home before they came by to look at it. I didn't expect such an awesome response nation wide! At this time, Oak Creek Homes can only deliver in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Parts of New Mexico. We are a regional company; our factories are located in Fort Worth, TX and Lancaster, TX. I have spoke to so many awesome people across the country and I really appreciate your kind words and your interest in our fine homes! I have taken in all your comments (the good, bad and ugly!) to help me improve in my presentation and the features that are important to buyers! Thank you!!! Don Provost.
Actually $80k is a good deal on a home like this. Buy a lot for $20k, build a 2 car garage for $15k and you've got a nice place. Just add some landscaping.
this is a really nice place and despite the negative comments ppl are making, she will obviously enjoy her selections, good job and the space isnt bad at all
Beautiful home! You wouldn't really need a pantry with all those cabinets!! This is the first single wide that I think actually has enough space. I'd definitely buy this one!!
Hello, are there alternatives to the glass doors. For security reasons I'd prefer solid door. And what do you mean when you say single wide? I have never heard a home described this way before. Thank you for your response.
dcaramelone This is a manufactured home built in a large indoor facility and comes in 14-16-18 foot widths called single wides. Long and narrow. They are built on a trailer frame with axles and wheels for transport. The A double wide is a mating of two single wide sections delivered separately and joined together at the site into one house. Looks more like a stick built home. These homes can be cheaply built or very well built depending on the manufacturer. Some are even more strongly constructed, no trailer frame, and must be delivered in sections on flat bed trailers. They are then lifted into place with a crane and connected to become a complete home called a modular. I lived in a mobile home for several years and sold mobile homes as well. Also was a kitchen and bath designer for a few years. Good design does not have to be for million dollar homes. Everything does not have to be top of the line, just good quality. Sometimes a can of paint is your best friend.
Really like the arches, good color palate, nice looking cabinets, the 9' ceilings make such a big difference, love the wood valances - very nice! Lots of people wish they could live as good. Would have loved to have seen more of the land too. Congratulations on a lovely home!
Very beautiful but I was shocked by how expensive it is for a single wide as I seem bigger modular homes very nice for much more affordable prices that was kind of shocking
The only major problem I see is what happens in a lot of people's homes and they don't realize until it is too late. Heat rises, why on earth put heating ducts on the ceiling? The heat comes out and stays on the ceiling. Even though it is Texas and warm here, still you will have to get some other form of heating for the ground level. I use electric fire places to heat my manufactured home. We use window units for air. Central eats up the dollars. No need to heat and air each room. You save by having individual units in each place. I am building a new place and installing metibushi room units for the air and electric fire places and small heating units for each room. Use only in room that are occupied. Save a ton of money.
THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING HOME JUST AS IT IS FEATURED HERE!! LOVE THE 9 FOOT FLAT CEILING’S AND THE FLOATED SHEET ROCK WALL’S THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE HOME‼️I ESPECIALLY ADMIRE THE DESIGN AND SIZE, (18✖️78) FEET GIVES YOU A LARGE OPEN FEELING!! I’VE BEEN LOOKING AT MANUFACTURED HOMES SINCE 1984 AND I WILL DEFINITELY SAY THAT THIS MODEL IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY UNIT’S I’VE SEEN SO FAR‼️👍👍
The only flaw I noticed is that it does not have a lot of counter space. I need counter space. The cabinet space is on point but not having a lot of counter space is a deal breaker but the the home is beautiful none the less.
Pros: colors, cabinets, back splash, cabinets like a pantry, Hugh single wide, tub, back splash large shower with stools, arches, oasis tub, actually no negatives! I cannot believe this house!!!! Wow!
It's rare to get prices in these videos :( I agree at least give us a price range since u can't tell us the exact cost, sure more people would call if there was a price.
Looks nice. Too bad they don't hold their value. I wonder if it would be worth it if you attached to the foundation? I love the look of modern mobile homes.... Dreamy!!
Rhonda L yes if it is a quality built home and placed on a foundation, it does maintain a better value depending on upkeep same as any home. Zoning regulations prohibit placing them in certain neighborhoods or stick built developments. Most are in mobile home parks or on private land in more rural areas.
Just like buying a car. You can buy cheap or excellent. We bought a Solitaire double wide. Husband and son went to factory to see what's behind the wallboard. Quality as very good. 2x6 exterior walls. No printed wallboard and panel strips...textured overlay over wallboard. Plywood flooring. sheetrock with textured over lay. Extra insulation in walls. Wood cabinets...we added storm windows and came with steel entry doors. Remember you have to have land septic..electric and water access or pay rent to park it. Home also depreciates not like conventional house that will increase in value. Expensive to move. You have no return when you sell. You'll be lucky to break even.
These homes have come a long way. I would happily live in this home. It's beautiful and perfect size in my opinion. Not everyone prefers a big huge home with a big huge morgage, I sure don't. I hope she is loving her beautiful home
Yes Sheree, You can definitely do granite. We also do wood tile floors as well. We don't ship them with those upgrades because they tend to break-up during transport. Those items are installed after delivery.
Don Provost what kind of flooring does this home have?? And about how much will it cost per mile or how is it metered for the road..permits..how many pilot cars will be needed and the cost for them $ $79,000.00 is a good price... It's the land... and getting utilities to the home... by calling ot a single wide..then I can assume its a mobile home... but you sure wouldn't want to risk getting the boot.. or rent goes up every year...
Largest singlewides are 16 feet wide. A lot of states require you to get a special permit or permits (costing tons of 💰) just to get them to there destination even if just down the street. So most people settle for the 15 wide for that reason 8wide (usually referred to as a park model), 10wide, 12 wide, 14 wide, 15 wide, and 16 wide are the sizes of the single wide's. Double sided are usually never more than two 15 wides put together again if it's above two 16 wides then it goes to a triple wide combo. So for instance if you want a 36 wide then it would be three 12 wides connected together.
@@thomaselam2532 no that is not the fact industry wide the largest is 16 wide in the 🇺🇸. 18 wide only in some states or for special projects in others. A 20 wide today is just 2 10 wides married together down the middle (no need for special permits and forking tons of out extra money). If you do not live in the 🇺🇸 then it may be different in your country however here in the 🇺🇸 what I stated are the facts as well as laws and regulations that are followed.
I love this trailer the Arches. the lady who picked the colors floors etc. did a wonderful job. I loved everything about this home. I want to move to Florida and wondered where you were located.
A nice frame around the bathroom mirror would have been great. Its a new house and i look at it and want to add so much remodeling. Its looks so dark amd dreary. But if the client loves it thats all tht matter
I worked at a mobile home plant and worked in MANY of this exact model. I hope the plant that this trailer came from puts them together better than the one I worked at, and it's a big name mobile home company! Oops, earlier I called them trailers! We were not allowed to call them that, but that's what they are. Folks be careful when buying a mobile home, lots of hidden defects if you don't know what to look for.
Nora I agree. As a 3rd party inspector I've seen lots of Code issues and poor workmanship and that's at several plant's. It's what's covered up they don't see.
Yeah its amazing until you get electrocuted by those plug ins that are not ground fault circuit interrupter type. That is a disaster waiting to happen, not sure how they met code with those plug ins. Water and electricity don't mix well.
But 80,000. For a home that depreciated in value as it ages. Insurance on these isn't good. And if a tornado comes it's gone. Too much money for me to pay for something like that.
This house is literally fancier than my actual house I’d live here in a heartbeat

Angel Z
Carla Jones I like mobile homes I live in one right now. I like double wides better though
I had no idea single-wide manufactured homes were that big inside. Looks really nice!
This is beautiful. wish I could get one
This is a beautiful home. Lots of space and areas for decor ideas the home would look even more stunning with hardwood floors but the house is lovely.
Just gotta say it . . . I watch and enjoy a simple video . . . and then unfortunately I read the negative comments and have to go watch a puppy vid to bring my spirits back up. Humankind is sorely in need of a kick in the ass (pardon my language🙄)
My thoughts also. Get's old fast!
Tell it like it is. Simply amazing.
Wow the walls are seamless thank God they changed that.
Many years of memories. The huge cabinet in kitchen should have pull out draws being so deep. I put them in mine... Things get lost way in the back... Lol. Beautiful home♥️✌️🙏
Lovely! The owner did an amazing job designing it! Very tasteful. I live in a 22 year old 16x80. May have to upgrade soon after watching this video!
It is very pretty and kudos to you for taking those shoes off at the front door 🤗
Can you fit side by side washer & dryer in the laundry room? Or does it only accommodate stackable?
Wow that is a really awesome looking home. Why do people seem to think that if you live in a trailer you're less than others. This looks better than some home I have seen that weren't a trailer for sure. Is that an estimated cost?
They used to be trailers cuz they were made with 1x2 wall studs and were flammable. After 1996, they are coded as mobile homes, as they are built like modular homes...sturdy, non-flammable, and use 2x4 wall studs, and 2x6 floor joists.
I have a house and personally like to strike a match to my house and put this trailer in it's place.
@@DianeHasHopeInChrist Congress changed the law in June of 1976. Anything built after that date is a manufactured home and can get loans and insurance on it.
@@DianeHasHopeInChrist Actually it was 1976 and they are called Manufactured homes not mobile homes.
A person's home is usually a personal choice. That's what I like about touring homes. We are in a country, at least for now, where we're free to make our own decisions.
So to me like it or not, it isn't your home. This lady I'm sure put a lot of time into all facets of her home. And I must say she has a beauty.
Patricia Hammett - Well said! I agree!
I love it when can I move in. Who ever buys it I'm sure they will be very happy. 👍😁
This is beautiful! She did a great job designing this! She should be a designer for other homes too!
Beautiful home, thanks for sharing!
Browse the Best The one thing I had a problem with was the area behind kitchen sink I wouldn't never be able to reach that area .Wasted space.
Good point, I went back to watch it and check that out. I think I would end up putting a plant there, since it wouldn't be too hard to water and would get sun from the windows. Do you think that would work?
Browse the Best Would really rather have sink in front of the window.
Sure, I can see that.
Just a few suggestions for future design. Lower the bar height to counter top and extend for dining, would open the kitchen up further. Deep cabinet over the fridge. Option for taller base and crown. Nice layout!! Beautiful home or single wide!!
Thank you so much Tracie! those are valid suggestions and much appreciated. I will pass them along for sure!
Hello! Beautiful.. I'm from San Angelo Texas...great home...nice..
This is a beautiful little home. Where is the living room? There is only room for a dinning in this beautiful house.
this can't be a single wide.....such a beautiful layout!
WynnKidsNanny LoriVance What? Every trailer I've ever seen had this exact same layout...unless you got the corner garden tub that's typical on cheap trailers.
Lovely home
it really is..I loved the kitchen with that wall of wood cabinetry.
WynnKidsNanny LoriVance Pssst....it's not real wood.
WynnKidsNanny LoriVance it is a single w
Wow that interior is beautiful. She chose wisely. I'd love to see the outside.
Omghosh Awesome beautiful wow spoil that house for sure Stunning
Luv it w/drywall..Makes the quality look sooo much better..This is nice..
Don Provost nice home
Don Provost why is the same back splash used in the kitchen, master, and guest bathroom?
Don Provost real nice! Am working hard to buy me one.👍👍👍
And that too for sale
Beautiful work! We need more affordable homes built like these! I'd definitely consider this option!
Actually $80k is a good deal on a home like this. Buy a lot for $20k, build a 2 car garage for $15k and you've got a nice place. Just add some landscaping.
this is a really nice place and despite the negative comments ppl are making, she will obviously enjoy her selections, good job and the space isnt bad at all
amazing bedroom closet you can actually get in and use it.
Beautiful home! You wouldn't really need a pantry with all those cabinets!! This is the first single wide that I think actually has enough space. I'd definitely buy this one!!
I love it, I would rather have this huge single than a double. I would need a longer tub though.
Yes the tubs are for shorter legs :)
The
A double wide is a mating of two single wide sections delivered separately and joined together at the site into one house.
Doris Shanks oh thank you for explaining that.
LMFAO, never heard of a single wide? Where the fuck have you been? I cannot believe someone doesn't know what a single wide is.
Yes all the windows and doors need way more security. And a pan under anything that will eventually leak like the water heater washer and dishwasher.
Really like the arches, good color palate, nice looking cabinets, the 9' ceilings make such a big difference, love the wood valances - very nice! Lots of people wish they could live as good. Would have loved to have seen more of the land too. Congratulations on a lovely home!
Does it have particle wood under flooring or solid plywood? That is all thst matters when purchasing a premanufactured home
Now you know that shit is particle board, why are you even asking? LMAO! You know I'm right about this.
Even stick built houses use osb subfloor.
@@thomaselam2532 there is a difference between osb and mdf witch the latter is what is used in mobile housing
I like it. This is that lady's home. She designed it the way she wanted it.
80 grand n she designed it herself?? Nice!! Do you all deliver to MD!?!? Lol.....
I like that, I would want something kind of open like this so I don't feel closed off from the other areas of the house!!
What does the exterior look like???
Send me an email at don.provost@oakcreekhomes.com and I will email you some exterior pictures, Thank you!
Marybeth Langendorf I think you could probably add an island
Da GoatMane I was thinking the same
Try using a Kitchen Cart for an Island I hear a lot of people like those!!
Pros: colors, cabinets, back splash, cabinets like a pantry, Hugh single wide, tub, back splash large shower with stools, arches, oasis tub, actually no negatives! I cannot believe this house!!!! Wow!
Can you tell us how much a home like this can cost around, please? tfs it is so beautiful
It's rare to get prices in these videos :(
I agree at least give us a price range since u can't tell us the exact cost, sure more people would call if there was a price.
One of the most beautiful mobile home I ever saw!!!!!!!!!
awesome home ❤
This is my very favorite single wide sign ashleigh💁🏼 this is absolutely beautiful👑
Are they insulated? Very nice, epically 9 ft ceilings
I've stayed in some shabby mobile homes, this is a beautiful dream home. Wow.
So pretty!
Nice tour even in 2020 that's a beautiful home!
Are these mobile homes still made with formaldehyde?
Yes, they have formaldehyde as a preservative.
preservative for what? the wood?
Yeah, for fuckin what? LMAO!
Don Provost Good! Don't want them rotting before the open house. Lol
These homes have come a long way. I would happily live in this home. It's beautiful and perfect size in my opinion. Not everyone prefers a big huge home with a big huge morgage, I sure don't. I hope she is loving her beautiful home
2018 model, no granite counters, ceramic or travertine tile on the floors, no kitchen island. Do you offer upgraded versions?
Yes Sheree, You can definitely do granite. We also do wood tile floors as well. We don't ship them with those upgrades because they tend to break-up during transport. Those items are installed after delivery.
Don Provost what kind of flooring does this home have?? And about how much will it cost per mile or how is it metered for the road..permits..how many pilot cars will be needed and the cost for them $ $79,000.00 is a good price... It's the land... and getting utilities to the home... by calling ot a single wide..then I can assume its a mobile home... but you sure wouldn't want to risk getting the boot.. or rent goes up every year...
missy larios hi Missy, please send me an email @ don.provost@oakcreekhomes.com and I will be glad to answer all of your questions
Don Provost All of which THIS home doesn't have which means more $$$.
Sheree Morgan pretty
Very Nice. Doesn't have the tackiness of many mobile homes, nor those common but unsightly wall seams.
And has some very cool features.
Wow that is a big single wide!
Here is a link to a triple wide (3:36 you can see the seams of the tie-in).

Are you referring to your butt?
@@forsnuggles They make 20ft singlewides
I love the paint colors that were chosen...very nice! Kitchen is also really nice...good job by the owner!
What do you look for ? What question should I ask?
What to look for ??
Nora I agree. As a 3rd party inspector I've seen lots of Code issues and poor workmanship and that's at several plant's. It's what's covered up they don't see.
They sure have a one along way in 25 years! Looks beautiful.
That master bath is amazing.
Yeah its amazing until you get electrocuted by those plug ins that are not ground fault circuit interrupter type. That is a disaster waiting to happen, not sure how they met code with those plug ins. Water and electricity don't mix well.
Its useful. The colors are nice. The kitchen is nice. The hall windows is nice.
But 80,000. For a home that depreciated in value as it ages. Insurance on these isn't good. And if a tornado comes it's gone. Too much money for me to pay for something like that.
Yes, you are right. Ins won't cover forces of nature. But it's beautiful
Love the colors and hope the customer has many happy years in this home.
I think it's very nice especially for the price
So beautiful, this is what I should have done buy a beautiful manufactured home with no mortgage payments.
Too many hurricanes in south Texas for a modular home. It’s very pretty but man they get wiped out fast.
Beautiful is right and great price!!!
Beautiful home, i don't like high ceilings tho, the higher the ceilings the more heat it will take to keep your house warm.
NightOwl The company is located in Abilene. If I lived in the south, I would definitely want high ceilings because it helps to keep the house cooler.
They were trying to make it look less like a trailer, but its still a trailer, LMAO!
@@clemsonbloke There's nothing wrong with a trailer. We all have our preferences and should respect each others decisions.
@@Nicole215 No, theres nothing wrong with it. My point was that the design was trying to be like a house instead of a trailer.
I hope she has many years in her beautiful home.........good luck
Absolutely beautiful!!
