I'm actually just reading a book on emotional abuse and I was curious what were some of the strategies that you used to overcome the emotional abuse that you faced in your past?

Really like your content but this whole "why didn't you leave him/her?" lacks some depth. I was in an emotionally abusive relationship and I went through a whole range of emotions - thinking I could fix it, thinking a break would help, setting boundaries, then leaving? I thought he might kill me. It's complicated, that's all I'm saying. I think your core message is right, - don't put up with it - but the context and way to leave is a much more complex one.

Sometimes you can't get away from someone who is mentally unwell. Sometimes even a codependent aquaintence will not go away despite how much you try to let them know it's what you want.
