One of the first games I bought for my 3ds back in 2018. I really enjoyed it.
Never played 3ds but I think it's pretty cool being able to have the map open while having the game screen fully visible.
I played “cube world” or something like that on my 3DS which was kinda like Minecraft. It was only a demo so I could only play it 30 times. Haven’t played it in 5+ years and it’s very nostalgic
Definitely wasn’t that
You're probably thinking of Battleminer. I got the full game once I homebrewed my O3DS, multiplayer was cool.
I remember building a HUGE ? Block house in the Super Mario Bros. version. I even had a Redstone trap set up to keep monsters out.
Me playing on my Obama phone getting better FPS:
Obummer
what
@@hollowayJunior Obama famously used a flip-phone while he was president because smart phones were too distracting.
I played it and I could not stop. I still have it along with my other 3DS games.
Switch lite Minecraft is better
@@ramencakes5196 lost it but that one does have Mario as a template like the will u one I played at my brother's house
@@herobrinegaming1150 I digital download my games so I don't have to lose them
@@ramencakes5196 yeah that's why I'm gonna start doing it too.
Back then, the only thing that mattered was being able to play minecraft, not what you played minecraft on.
Fun fact- that was actually the first version of Minecraft I ever played. Back when I got it, I didn’t have a phone or tablet I could get it on, but I had a 3DS that I played and carried around like it was a phone, so I just decided to get it. I remember being sad that the wither wasn’t in the game, and I just remember hoping for a new update everyday- good to know they still haven’t added it LOL
They did add the wither though.
I loved this version
Idc how it runs I want that nostalgia 🤌
yes
edit: but it’s nostalgic
i had always wanted minecraft on my ds’s etc and when it came out i was stoked, like i’d predicted the future. had a few pretty good worlds on there
I'm from the era where you would add a shortcut to the Minecraft website on your Blackberry home page to pretend you had Minecraft on your phone since Java was the only thing to exist at the time
I got it for my birthday beginning of this month and I love it
I have this! its actually not that hard to get used to using the c stick and I had a pretty good survival world. I never had any frame problems strangly and it always was smooth very fun experience
i think that has to do with the sd card read write speed and if your 3ds won the processor lotery (some can be better than others like with computers with the same processor som will just run better because yes)
@@animeloveer97 Yeah no. The silicon lottery didn't matter with the 3ds. The New 3DS model was always clocked at a locked 840MHz or 268MHz depending on the game.
Know with a hacked one, you can force it to run at 840MHz for every game, which fixes performance issues in a decent amount of them.
This is where my Minecraft experience began.
This version was my first version of minecraft! Lots of nostalgia to it
damn, this was like my last version lol
i did play it at one point and i did enjoy it :)
This song is making me cry from nostalgia- Wii U Minecraft hits different
I've never actually played this version but I've been curious to try it out
Tbh this is my favorite version of Minecraft!
So portable and simply feels cozy with all of the old textures.
Played this as my first minecraft version. Looking back it's quite back but I will never forget the memories I made with it.
Nice video bro, keep going
Fun fact: they removed the wither in the 3ds version, but also the wither painting
Damn, that's messed up.
@@leafq for the wither, it was hardware limitations. And why have a wither painting with no wither?
The wither IS in 3DS edition. It wasn’t in the first version since they ported from an older version of Bedrock which didn’t have the wither but it got added in a later release
I played dscraft on 3ds, a custom private project by some dev and I must say to that time it was so fun because I always wanted to play Minecraft.
I would've played this version if it came out a lot sooner than it did
It released in 2015, no? Actually now I see what you mean.
@@koolaid33 no it came out in 2017
I use it to prototype redstone computation concepts when I'm too lazy to log on to my PC
In fact Minecraft is currently open on my 3DS
This feels like looking back into early pocket edition where even in survival you had infinite brick blocks and shears
This was actually my first 3DS game
Same
did this man really just make a perfect loop?
Scrolled way too far down to see appreciation for this. The loop is exquisite.
Appreciate the use of the old combat game mode music 🎶
There was a homebrew Minecraft for 3DS which supported the OG console and could run in 3d as well. Way better than what the official developers did
The official developers didn't work on this version of the game, it was ported by other ocean interactive
@@Kapeeshy i mean the official devs of the 3ds version I know that
I spent my childhood playing Minecraft Wii U edition and it’s so nostalgic
Your childhood? You're still a child if the wii u existed during your childhood lmao.
Kids out here saying "my childhood" lmfao
@@Logan_93 sorry I wasn’t born in 1683
@@poopww5378 It's okay. I forgive you.
This music reminds of all the good times when I used to play the Minecraft mini games on the ps3
This has always been a version of the game I have wanted to play
pretty decent version, I'm actually playing it right now
Wait until they find out about MW2 for the Ds
“This game doesn’t get any new updates”
Precisely why it is my preferred method of playing Minecraft
MAD RESPECT
May be bad compared to todays standards, but this is my childhood ❤️
wym childhood, this version came out like 5 years ago u literal baby
It's really bad if you compare it even with old standarts, ps vita port was so much better at that time
It was already garbage when it came out though.
From time to time, I still go back and work on my Xbox 360 Minecraft world from 2013.
I have the 3ds version and I love it. It's really awesome
I loved and still love the port.
“It’s surprisingly responsive”
My sister and me who couldn’t get it to work for the life of us:
Wether you like this version or not, you have to admit this was some peoples childhood. I remember my first version was pe on a kindle that crashed half the time I started it up even with that, they’re some of my fondest childhood memories
Childhood (not mine but surely for many) and I think it's an impressive port. Uses the Bedrock engine too so it's different to the Vita version being the lowest of Legacy Console engine versions. It may be low end but I think it's impressive, an impossible port possibly something worth commending not bashing. It was only 1-2 years support too so I don't see why he had higher expectations.
... WHERE DO I GET A 3DS NOW AAAAAAAAAA
Ebay, but make sure to inspect the pictures and descriptions carefully and make sure the seller accepts returns 😅😅😅😅 That's what I did
I got my latest one in pristine condition at a retro console store for 140€ (which of you don't know is extremely cheap for a new 3DS)
@@linklink3069 A few months ago I found a New 2DS XL (looked new, only had some microscopic marks on the bottom screen) on eBay for € 160, best purchase I've ever made XD
I have modded it and am playing a lot of games, currently Pokemon X.
In 2012, I always had a dream about Minecraft on 3DS. I'm happy it came true five years later.
Can't be worse than on switch
I usually play on switch because of the mobility. Can confirm that if you already have it on something like your PC or Xbox, don't buy it on switch.
I don’t play minecraft often really (I think the game is a little overrated) but the newer Nintendo version is complete dog shit, I nowadays use the PS4 version with backwards compatibility on PS5.
@@Bombastic_daioh damn, why you so offended? all I mean is that the switch doesn't run bigger games very well, with half the fps. you are obviously very young.
@@Bombastic_daioh nah, at this point you gotta be trolling. What's the point of even arguing lmao? calling me a clown isn't gonna change the fact that Switch is absolutely garbage for running any game other than animal crossing 💀
damn its soo good i need to get it
I hate to admit it but Minecraft 3DS is one of the 2 reasons why I got a New 3DS. Got the game alongside the console Christmas 2017, it’s currently my 1st rated game for times played and hours on the game, 300+ each.
Honestly I think it could have done alright had it released around 2015 as a portable version with dedicated controls even with thee concessions, but by 2017 it was already on Switch
I agree. I thought it was strange that they waited so long to release a 3DS version. I know the reason was because the original 3DS was too weak to run a faithful recreation, but it just seemed so strange at the time. I remember a bunch of knockoffs were released a year or two earlier, and even they seemed late to the party.
@@jakeweston7006 By 2015 the New 3DS was out worldwide so there's no reason we couldn't have gotten this back then
The TNT tests was actually better than my PC.
I Can picture my younger self having a blast playing this all the time
This was the only Minecraft I had access to when I was younger with no phone, tablet or computer
I have it on my modded NEW 3DS XL, the only thing i dont like about it is the useless grey button as the camera
Never had a 3DS so didn't play this version, but I think it's better to have Minecraft on a platform with flaws and limitations than to not have it at all. They're doing the right thing porting the game to everything.
I know this is a month old, but I agree with you. My friend gave me a copy of minecraft for pc back in 2012. Sadly, all i had was an old windows xp laptop that couldn't even run games from it's own era (including a crappy flight simulator that came with a pizza), so I wasn't able to play minecraft at all.
I do love it's actual usage for two screens (the Dual Screen) on the game though (based on this short's footage), that's for sure.
now THIS is the Minecraft I remember, I may not have played it on the 3Ds but it IS THE EXACT version of Minecraft I started playing with when I first started, so much nostalgia. Just because I’ll never really get another chance, what version of Minecraft is this?
This game was my childhood. I remember logging into my special worlds and trying to build huge houses but just out of cobblestone. Still got both the 3ds XL and minecraft. OG for me.
They should have really made this a thing back in the day bc me and my cousin always played Minecraft demo on the tablets when when we had our 3ds we literally looked up how to get it on the 3ds 😭
I bought this game when it first released, I still have it, and had a world where I got an insane and tiny survival island seed, it, was atleast 400 blocks from any land, and I even managed to get an enchanted table setup and more tham 6 villagers for trading, keep in mind this was when the version of minecraft was like the 1.4 or possibly even lower equivalent in java
This is where most of my 2Ds XL memories happened
I EVER THOUGHT OF THIS LIKE 6 YEARS AGO AND IT ACTUALLY EXISTS AFTER SEEING IT 6 YEARS INTO THE FUTURE OF THAT OMGGGG
Also it looks EXACTLY like i predicted it
Literally my childhood nearly 500 hours of gameplay and countless memories
With the TNT on the 3DS, I built a giant rocket. My console crashed and had colorful pixels on one side, but now it's fine.
Man I still adore how the new 3ds looks by far my favorite design
