I wouldn't want any either as my daughter had some move in next door to her and kept getting soiled baby nappies thrown into her garden and onto her roof.
Regarding the John Lyndon Sullivan thing at 1:38 notice O'Brien uses the sneaky language of "i think he is already on the council" (Sullivan was not). In other words he is not going to assert it directly because he does not want to be caught out as a liar. On the other hand he is going to strongly imply it is true to score a point nonetheless. He then asserted it anyway. Even if it was true it is only one person and this sort of nitpicking could easily be replicated with many political parties.
You do not hold leaders of political parties responsible for the actions of individuals in the party who happen to be members. You would only hold them responsible if they openly supported their words or actions.
Once again this radio station and their complete and utter foulness when it comes to questioning. Farage cam onto the station to be asked questions regarding the Local and EU election, instead he is attacked for no good reason with questions which completely ignored his answers, everytime Nigel gave a reasonable explanation he was soon after shut down by the interviewer not listening to his points. This radio station is a joke and to anybody who actually listens to it on a regular basis i feel very, very sorry for you. They clearly try to force their opinions and agendas onto you and if you dont believe me, seems like you have already fallen for their tactics.
Haha, I can almost taste Farages sweat, though I wish he was allowed to talk without interruption, as much as I disagree with him, he should be allowed to express himself
Why? At that time he was leader of a political party, on BBC QT every week and able to shoot his mouth off everywhere he cared to. He needed to have his feet held to the fire.
D RM I don't have a TV as I got rid of it due to the constant barrage of loony left propaganda by the BBC. I listen to LBC mainly for the news and normally turn O'Brien off when he starts his usual nonsense. I know that one shouldn't mock the afflicted but O'Brien's manic and increasingly weird presentation has become laughable to the point that yesterday, after praising the idiotic Russell Brand ( they were bound to coalesce at some point), he actually tried to do an impersonation of Brand and, sure enough, I couldn't tell the difference.
I like that his hand movements are like he’s trying to use the force to trick O’Brien into believing he’s got a clue what he’s talking about…like the galaxy’s most moronic Sith Lord Darth Moronicus
Wow what an revealing interview by James O'Brien. Asked some logical questions to Nigel Farage who shows his hypocrisy. Being someone who dislikes all politicians and has no dog in this fight, I cannot see how anyone can criticise O'Brien with his line of questioning. Clearly it shows the hypocrisy of Farage let alone revealing his xenophobia and stereotyping.
9 years ago. How was it that we didnt realise then just how dangerous he was then and is now. How is it that like now, nothing was done to deal with him and his vety dangerous and poisonous views. Flash from the past. Where's that £350 million a week, Nigel? BTW, an insolvent company can't possibly pay tax liabilities from "earned income". You pay tax liabilities and everything else from cash on hand. Immigration? No worries. No one in their right mind would choose to go to post Brexit UK.
Imagine any other country that say oh they spoke english on the bus i am very uncomfortable with that. They should not speak english and only come to our country if they are well educated. How many british born people in the uk speak a second language does this show the education system in the uk is poor.
James O'Brien thought he was being slick, what happened in the after math?! Farage was offered a job on LBC a few years later, after he became the stations biggest magnet time & time again in LBC's hunt for viewership. James continued to be mocked into farcical land & now wears embarrassing jumpers, which tells us his wife, a fashion writer, can't be spending too much time with him. Oh, Farage Brexit referendum which he pressured the Tories into offering the Nation won, the election which was 3 years ago has been stifled & kicked into the long grass via 400 remain politicians in British parliament. Cameron resigned after the Brexit referendum results in 2016. In May of 2019, PM Theresa May announced she'd be resigning in a few months. Farage left UKIP, started the Brexit Party, stormed to victory in the EU 2019 elections, smashing the Tories & Labour apart, the Lib Dems have become the party of Remaining in the EU, even after the referendum 3 years & counting, people still think don't worry about Democracy, just pretend like it didn't happen. Now it looks like Farage will be running in the general election, if Brexit is still denied beyond the new extended date of Oct 31 2019. Also, Boris Johnson is currently favourites to become the next Prime Minister. Couldn't make it up really. Oh, Tommy Robinson ran in the EU elections, despite having no social media capabilities because of big tech censorship in bed with left wing media & pressure groups. But he still managed to get about 2.5% in the North West. Did i mention James O'Brien wears ridiculously embarrassing jumpers!?
Swurvin Media yes and there are reasons behind this. When there are groups that do have few members that wake up in the morning and are willing to blow up the bus, this makes the irrational fear of said group quite rational
Richard Sinclair, if you want self government you need to leave NATO, the UN + the WTO. All treaties involve a loss of some sovereignty. The truely self governing countries are North Korea, Burma, Bhutan etc. Not countries we should be emulating.
Indeed I'm a Norman Viking. French, Sweetish, Norwegian and even Irish Celtic is in my dna.. Ive had my dna tested. My ancestors came here from France in the Norman battle of Hastings. But that information still does not excuse economic migration ruining any country. Any sort of invasion of sacred soil is inexcusable. Also that said, does not turn me in to a immigrant lover, whom currently have turned my capitol city in to a foreign ghetto. 87% are now immigrants in London which is a disgrace.....
Richard Sinclair Aww I'm lucky my capital city is one of the most beautiful cities in the World, & massive cities like London, New York, Paris have always had large immigrant populations. x :)
James O'Brien, the multi cultural saviour of this country, lives in Chiswick, the most 'white' borough in London. Funny that. Go and live in Tower hamlets for a few years, and let's see if you feel the same way. Better still, go and live in some of the cities up north where the demographic has changed to such a degree that they are no longer recognisable as English cities. This man makes my blood boil.
so it james fault he was adopted by a middle class white family! also im in liverpool and we are doing fine, infact our city is not recognisable due to all the EU investment and being a multicultural hub.
James O'Brin ...why does he bother to have people on his show, he likes to take all the time up with his own views and never lets people answer a single question without continuously butting in. l now turn off when his show comes on air. Sad but true . He does have some good opinions but he doesn't let people talk, so no real argument is presented.
Seemed to me that everytime Nigel Farage had a legitimiate response to a question, the interviewer just found another bucket to slime to throw over him - one which was totally disconnected to the previous question.
Sometimes I really wonder if I’ve seen a different video to those in the comments. Imagine watching this and thinking Farage made a legitimate response... Nigel Farage wouldn’t know a legitimate response if it rode in on a unicorn branded with “brexit my brexit” and then proceeded to ride Farage’s like the main event at a rodeo!
Exactly the way Farage should be made to answer for his self centered racist policies. The idiocy of his defenders reflects the stupidity of those targeted to be potential UKIP supporters.
proper interviewer asking questions the bbc and other news outlets wouldn't even do and he makes them answer them and is well briefed on the questions he asks and the answers they give.a true jounalist-we need more people than ever like him to hold these politicains to account.
I'm really fed up of political class posh boys, who won't tackle tax avoidance, the number 1 priority in my opinion should be tax avoidance as it amounts to around £34billion, collecting a portion of this would really help out the country.
This video should not be lost amongst all the other videos of rightwing brexit lies. It’s unfortunate that James cannot debate farage today, james has matured into a force to be reckoned with, farage on the other hand !!!
LOL - there was no attempt at insulting your lack of intelligence... you are a UKIP supporter, that is suggestive enough that you are lacking intelligence without the need of me to add insult. I was merely offering a plausible explanation as to how you misheard the interview concerning foreign languages that clearly portrays Farage as a hypocrite. Obviously, an alternative explanation to your delusion is your lack of intelligence. Besides, nobody is arguing whether challenging UKIP's ideology helps or hinders the party... I am arguing that Farage is a hypocrite and that UKIP supporters would excuse the man of just about anything. You could catch Farage having sex with an 8 year old boy and UKIP supporters would have an excuse to deny that he was a paedo. BUT, just like Farage you are trying to win an argument by completely ignoring what is being argued.
The interviewer is first discussing people not using English on a train. There was no way for Farage to know if those people did not also speak English. When I am in public with my spouse, I rarely use English because I don't want other people listening in to what we are discussing. It does not mean I can't speak English - I was born here and my paternal line came to this country in 865AD. I have a mix of Viking, Angle, Scot, Irish, and Norman blood - in other words I am as British as they come. I find it slightly amusing that people who come to this country and are either immigrants, or second or third generation immigrants (let's remember Farage's great grandfather came from Germany), seem to think it is fine to dictate about immigration controls and try to revive racialism in a perverted notion that they are trying to protect traditional British culture. The interviewer also pointed out to Farage that it is a fallacy to presume that South London children at school do not also speak English as well as another language. He was pointing out that they are no different to Farage's own family. Farage's wife is German, his children are half German, they use German at home, and German is the mother tongue of his children. In other words, he is a hypocrite. Seriously, if you have a problem with immigration into this country then why not live up to your own convictions and leave... go back to where you come from instead of trying to change a proud tradition that our isles have held. I have no problem with you being in my country, I couldn't care what language you spoke, but I do find your own hypocrisy rather irksome. After all I am assuming by your profile that you are or were Argentinian... a country that is renowned by the saying: "the Argentinians are Italians who speak Spanish, act French and wish they were British"... Hardly a base from which to criticise immigration in the UK.
I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy of your posts by using your own arguments and the arguments of many UKIP members who want to stop immigration because they feel their sense of Britishness is being eroded. I have nothing against immigration to this country. I welcome it. It is not me that is espousing the proud tradition of these isles - re-read what I wrote. I think that culture is like language, it is constantly evolving and when it becomes static it has a habit of dieing out. When different cultures meet, it is best to embrace the best bits and forge ahead with a new culture. I welcome the merging of cultures into new cultures not the attempt to protect an illusion of tradition and not an attempt to integrate people into that illusion. There is no and has never been a singular British or even English identity. We are too regional. Not everywhere in the UK is subject to the pressures of immigration. Where I live they are closing schools and hospitals because there are not enough people to keep them economically viable. We are losing people from my region of the UK because of a lack of investment and they are moving to the South East in search of work. The problems that the South East is facing is as much to do with the domestic population migrating there in search of work as it is to do with immigration. As much as a London based media would like you to believe, you can't take the problems unique to the South East of England and apply it to the rest of the UK. If you count the number of people who have left the UK since the 18th century to present day and compare it to the number of people who have come into the UK during that time period - the figures are almost exactly the same. The problem is two-fold - first population distribution - we have a concentration in the South East while other areas of the UK are sparse (this is linked with regional investment - or lack of).... second, our population has risen because of improved hygiene and living standards meaning people are living longer. You need only go back to the generation that experienced WWII to a time where the majority of people had either lost or knew someone who had lost a child to sickness. Now it is almost unheard of... it is a rare enough occurrence that the majority of people do not personally know someone who has lost a child to sickness (of course it still happens but not as often). Population increase has more to do with domestic living standards than it does with immigration.

Well done James! That windbag Farage is great at criticizing everything; except himself. He has no answers. I still can't understand why he only attended 2 of the 42 EU Fisheries meetings, when he was supposed to represent UK fishing rights. Curiouser and curiouser.
I had avoided watching this because I didn't want to algorithmically platform Mr Farage, but being midway through How They Broke Britain, I felt I had to. James, you're a hero.
James is not a bad person but this man loves the sound of his own voice... as a matter of fact he could do this show without anyone to debate with ... he doesn't realise that he is meant to be talking to a second person... unless of course they agree with him and then he does allow their voice to be heard.... James look up the meaning of the word 'debate'...

He is an extremely effective political communicator, and his political success kind of flat-out refutes the ideal that he is dim. That's why you don't hear that charge being made very much. James O'Brien on the other hand conducts interviews like a narrow-minded, petulant child.
If he’s an idiot and he beat you in 2016 What does that make you? You guys were ineffectual against ‘an idiot.’ Maybe if you didn’t assume all the people who disagree with you are idiots, and you took them seriously. You might be more effective at beating them in elections. If you want to win the debates and therefore win the hearts and minds of the floating voters that you need. maybe you shouldn’t act so superior, maybe people find that off putting. Maybe people want leaders that can understand their opponents motivations. Treat their opponents with respect. Remember there’s pride and there’s humility.........one is a vice and one is a virtue. You’re a doughnut.

I must have been going through some crisis in life, because I LOVE James O'brien now, & never miss his shows (can't wait for him to get back from holiday monday. It's been a long 2 weeks) And I can see now how the far right these days will NOT change their mind no matter what sensible people say. Because I wouldn't have done all those years ago. You have to figure it out yourself. Probably the only person that helped me out there was listening to James O'brien.
What a different world it would be if journalists like James were to intervi leaders all the time, instead of the people who ask them what they want to be asked. Nope, these media companies pursue ratings, instead of practice journalism.
That was extremely frustrating. James o brien clearly dislikes farage. He barely let him get a word in edgeways. Seems to me he just wanted to rial farage rather than have a clear debate with him. A completely pointless conversation in my eyes. Too many attacking questions one after the other while Farage attempted to answer the last one. James o brien just likes the sound of his own voice it seems. Asked some good, important questions but failed to get any coherent answers...
(10:29, 10:46) Hmm, there are occasions when the shadow of hindsight seems even more inevitable than "father time". I think if James (as a self-professed scrupulously impartial journalist) had been as vigilant as this on his research throughout the last decade including, for example, the period when Labour were accused of "antisemitism" and moreover, attempted to conduct a similarly inquisitive interview with Jeremy Corbyn....it would have lasted about 1/2 a minute before Jeremy walked out...assuming he even turned up...

+James Line He may of course be saying this because he is not sure. Good tactics....your final sentence is weasel words.

Great interview and Farage at long last is being exposed! He's got double standards in many aspects of wht he stands for!
Nigel Farage wouldn’t know a legitimate response if it rode in on a unicorn branded with “brexit my brexit” and then proceeded to ride Farage’s like the main event at a rodeo!

lol at all the UKIP supporter excuses in the comments - just admit that your leader is a hypocrite
Actually, yes he is. Did you actually listen to the interview or did you enter a starry eyed place in your imagination at the sound of Farage's voice?
Population increase has more to do with domestic living standards than it does with immigration.
...and yet, here you are 'wasting' your time.
In order to listen with intent you must first listen.
James can you send me the link where you have asked the other party's the same questions that Nigel is defending
