The term "Cultural Marxism", popularized by Jordan Peterson, is a rebranding of the term "Cultural Bolshevism" which was popularized by the Nazis. That's what makes these people so reluctant to define what they mean.
They are dividing the groups according to culture: proletariat and the other one and playing them against each other. Also that’s what Brits rejected last election
If you'd come to a conclusion by yourself via reading and thinking things trough, not only would you be able to explain every word, you'd be more than happy too. If you'd heard someone else's conclusion, became convinced and got angry, you would have no way of explaining each stage of the argument. In fact, you'd be perplexed as to why the other person wasn't as angry as you, and this would make you even angrier.
Completely clueless throwing terms like cultural Marxism and neo Marxism and his definitions are not even close, he doesn't even begin to explain what they both are. Too many idiots online just simply repeating rhetoric from other idiots
This caller probably watched a bunch of right wing youtube videos and repeated their talking points, without understanding or researching the politics behind them.
@@capitalb5889 there is no variation of Marxism sadly. Neo means "new", effectively no meaning in this case. It is purely buzzword to make braindead conservatives think something new is taking over the perfect world.
People when will you realise that the words you use form the basis of your argument. If the words you use don’t make sense then neither will your broader point, and that’s assuming you even have a broader point. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and let’s say that he has a valid point. How would you know what it is if he is using the wrong language to express it? How would you know that you agree with him? You might assume you know what he means and that understanding might be totally different from what he actually means. If you actually knew what he meant you may not agree with him. And the only way to actually know what he means is to ask him to explain the words he uses. And if you find that a hindrance, you have two choices: a) Use different words or b)shut up and don’t say anything.
I really hate it when people use big words they dun understand then pretend to understand what they are saying by giving the excuse, "I don't have time to explain everything."
You gotta love how James is saying "What does that mean?" While you can tell the caller didn't even bother asking that while they heard this spreading all over the news.
It's always alarming when you try to have a conversation with someone, only to discover that they're little more than a shallow puddle of meaningless buzzwords.
This is a perfect example what's really wrong with the public trying to have an opinion on issues they don't really understand. People hear certain words and terminology from leaders they admire, and repeat what someone else is saying without actually understanding the meaning of these terms, purely for self gratification that they may look to have a slight bit of intelligence. If you want to express your opinion, or even get into a debate, you must back up your argument with an actual understanding of what you are trying to say.
I literally had a guy tell me a few days ago how he doesn't know as much as I do about the topic se were discussing, but how he knows enough to have a discussion, and he kept pressing the same simplistic point he started with, despite not knowing nearly any of the backstory, and after few attempts to explain to him how it's not that simple. He didn't budge an inch.
This is what the News needs to do in America, is instead of letting a person ramble on, they need to stop them and ask them to explain the words they are using. Just like this guy, he's using the word, but doesn't even understand what it means, just like Americans who are against "Critical Race Theory"
This is most people nowadays. They learn terminology they don't understand and use it in conversation and pretend they've got it all figured out AND they've got black mates.
What does Marxism have to do with stop and frisk or political correctness (which is nothing but a term that bigots use against anyone wanting to hold them responsible for their bigotry).

This is today’s problem. People are using empty words and rhetoric like parrots.
The term "Cultural Marxism", popularized by Jordan Peterson, is a rebranding of the term "Cultural Bolshevism" which was popularized by the Nazis. That's what makes these people so reluctant to define what they mean.
You're being facetious
What does facetious mean?
........
🤣🤣🤣
Don't know
Listen!
Now you’re being Marxist...I mean facetious...or summink.🤷🏽♀️
Mate
If “Dave down the pub” had a voice
For real. Notice how mad he got as well. I picture he’s a gammon 😄
DAVE DAN PAB
Very patronising and unhelpful.
@@bronte6364 and yet everyone knows exactly what he means by that
@@capitalb5889 no, not really.
The caller speaks the language of hooliganism which is why it doesn’t make any sense 🤣🤣
People need to stop using words they don't understand
698 people use words for which to don't know the meaning.
This caller has bullied his way through his life and can’t deal with having to justify the words he is using to build his poisonous narrative
And behind the bullying, he's scared.
So did we discover what cultural Marxism is?
Apparently we are all still Right Here Waiting for an explanation.
Mate don't be facetious
It is latin for “Listen Mate”
Doesn’t exist
They are dividing the groups according to culture: proletariat and the other one and playing them against each other. Also that’s what Brits rejected last election
This is absolutely hilarious!
Until those people take the reins and derail several countries in the process.
Jan Cloosterman , I agree like trump .
As a political science major, this makes me love James.
I love how people just throw the buzzwords around thinking they did make their point, but fail to explain them every single time.
I am really thinking of being the American version of O'Brien... I love his work!!!
kinda already exists @vaushv
David Pakman is pretty similar
Dude, you'll have a lot of work ahead... too much "material" to process. 🙂
Go for it dude!
Bold ambition
"You're talking a lot of sense, I just can't see it yet..." 😂
Most people who scream socialism, socialist, marxist etc etc dont know what it actually is an wouldnt know one if they saw one.
Jordan Peterson has made a lot of very unintelligent people believe they're far smarter than they are.
This is what happens when you cancel shows like Jeremy Kyle, they just phone radio stations...
This make me laugh loud - brilliant!
What a gammon
Soon as I hear “Listen mate”, I know we’re in trouble.
When you're trying to get to the bottom of something you think you understand and then literally the bottom falls out of you 😂
This guy shouldn't have tried this nonsense with James.
Completely clueless throwing terms like cultural Marxism and neo Marxism and his definitions are not even close, he doesn't even begin to explain what they both are. Too many idiots online just simply repeating rhetoric from other idiots
Is there a James O'Brien in the US? Because I flipping love this guy.
There's only 1 👑
I'd say Jon Stewart is would be the closest equivalent to James O'Brian
David Pakman
There is an estimated 750, 000 O’Briens in the world and in the US James is the most common male name over the last 100 years. So, probably.
Matt Dillahunty on the Atheist Experience
Legend has it the callers still saying listen mate
Wow. You have those people too.
This caller probably watched a bunch of right wing youtube videos and repeated their talking points, without understanding or researching the politics behind them.
I don’t care what anybody says: James O’Brien us a genius! I love him
If you don't care what anybody says, then you've learnt nothing from James O'Brien.
I can’t stop laughing at this bloke, he really thinks he knows what he’s talking about. I’m in tears! 😂🤣😭😭
"How do we find them? Are they wearing badges?" XD
No they're shadowy.
James: Whats the answer?
Me: I give you the answer.
No; Thats not the answer i want.
All he had to say was that the proletariat would own the means of production and we'd all get 6:58 minutes of our lives back.
We'd then just get onto neo and cultural variations.
I've actually read Marx, but couldn't say what the others actually mean.
Quit being so framzystikal.
He doesn't have the time. If James doesn't know perhaps he shouldn't be on the radio.b
You gotta love how James is saying "What does that mean?" While you can tell the caller didn't even bother asking that while they heard this spreading all over the news.
Why why why. This is heartbreaking. Angry hate filled people
It’s this caller’s kind of absolute conspiracy nonsense that we need to get rid of from this country
It's always alarming when you try to have a conversation with someone, only to discover that they're little more than a shallow puddle of meaningless buzzwords.
'[he] was a normal Englishman, who had obviously killed someone...' 🤣 that's like Monty Python!😂😂😂
I just opened a tin of Alphabeti Spaghetti and threw it on the floor and it explained Cultural Marxism better than this bloke.
Seriously mad me laugh out loud and that doesn't happen often. These nutters are great entertainers.
I would love to see that. But interviews are rarely critical for what I see.
Comedy gold this one!
"We will both pretend you know what you mean." Love it.
This is most people nowadays. They learn terminology they don't understand and use it in conversation and pretend they've got it all figured out AND they've got black mates.
i do the same thing when people talk about 'socialism/communism' - just ask what it means and 95% just heard TucKKKer Carlson say it 🤷♂
Listen mate, it’s just about the ol’ dialectic materialism innit?
Most underrated comment
That would have been amazing
And there you have it ,the great British public on display
Whingeing Poms
@@jezzatakla Australians are just as bad.
What does Marxism have to do with stop and frisk or political correctness (which is nothing but a term that bigots use against anyone wanting to hold them responsible for their bigotry).
If you can't define the terms you're using, then don't use the terms
You can't maintain a confirmation bias if you actually learn the facts
SCARY WORD! MARXISM! Don't nag at me!
James : "What is marxism, mate?"
Caller : "My cat's breath smells like cat food."
O Brien is on point. He is literally asking the caller to define the words coming out of the caller's mouth, and caller is deflecting XD
This has to be one my favorite callers, his endless confidence only tempered by near epic incomprehension.
James O Brien v Americans confused about socialism would be superb 👌
This illustrates the problem with democracy - people like this caller gets the vote!
