My husband communicates with these people regularly, I cannot do it. He has "friends" who voted Brexit and continue to defend it. And all he asks is, over and over and over again, "Please, here's your chance to destroy me. Give me one - JUST ONE - Brexit benefit. Go on. Anything. Any little thing that you think benefits this country. Doesn't matter how small or seemingly insignificant. Just one." They can't. Because, like MAGA, it's a cult. It's about blind faith. They HATE being questioned. They HATE being asked for data, facts and sources. They simply resort, like this woman, to, "Well Brexit hasn't been done properly" oh PUR-LEASE.

Two Fines literally cost the tax payer over half a trillion Pounds in 2008 alone. Then Pociophile Dave publicly interfered with the prosecution of his 2 co-conspirators in the UK to the point the judge had to shut the trial down on the grounds that they could "no longer be guaranteed a fair trial". The point is, after 14 years of Tory policies, even taking away the effects of Covid, ordinary people are worse off, far worse off. Child poverty is way up. It takes two full time wages now to pay for housing. The NHS has gone back to the kind of waiting lists that were rife during the last long period of Tory rule. Finally the rich are WAY WAY richer. The country was actually already seeing growth by the time 2010 came about and the Conservatives stifled that with austerity.
They then continued austerity for the last 14 years, which is why the country is in a complete shambles. Even BEFORE Covid and the war in Ukraine came about as convenient excuses, the country was still in a dire state due to the aforementioned austerity.
