God Bless you too this was the best video on this car ever! I have a charger with the same problem! Finally sealed the head gasket back up with the $50 bars head fix and now overheating on AC only! need to check thermostat and drain the air. Check the bottom hose! Thanks!!
Got my new thermostat and water pump put in by mechanic as soon as I got home it overheated…I watched this video before I took it back and did this and boom no more overheating thank you❤❤❤❤
WE had this same problem for over a year that would return . It would get air in the system again and again. We would bleed it and it would be fine for a few hundred miles. It finally got to where it wouldn't bleed and go more than two miles. Turned out that it blew a head gasket. I believe there is an inherent problem in the early models (11-13).
Figured out my problem I have a 5.7 and my coolant was showering out from the water pump itself 😮had it covered under warranty barely had to pay to get it fixed now it’s as good as new
Hey Josh- I’m having an overheating issue with my 2015 charger sxt. It ONLY overheats when I am idling or parked for too long after the car has reached regular operating temperatures. I recently replaced my thermostat a few months ago, there are no coolant leaks anywhere. The water pump is not making any weird noises. The fan works and kicks on as it should. My radiator is not punctured or anything like that. I am completely stumped. No lights come on my dash. It runs perfectly fine other than this weird issue.
@@kinghennings unfortunately no. My local mechanic told me some BS “I couldn’t replicate the issue. If it comes up again, take it to Dodge.” I don’t have the time or money to fix my car, so it sits in my driveway.
@@kinghennings also- since I’m fed up and just having my car sit in my driveway with some mystery problem, would you be a bro and reach out to me if you ever take your charger to the shop?😂
My friend I am from Iraq and I have a problem in my car Doug Charger. There is a very high temperature and the car is rancards water from the radiator, which is called Tarmah as you change and change the protection as well as radiator but unfortunately
Hey so I’m a little confused, to bleed it after install , so I need to turn the car off and bleed it, aslong as I warmed up the car? Does it need to be on And running when I bleed it? I had a mechanic install it but he didn’t bleed it after it ran, I mentioned people bleed it after it runs with heat and he said he already bled it and it doesn’t matter. He also didn’t drain the coolant when he changed the thermostat, he only drained the fluid after since he asked why I brought so much coolant. So idk how he changed it, I was behind my car So I didn’t see How he did it, I’m assuming he let it spill and rinsed it off (I saw him rinse with water). But do you think I need to bleed it, since he didn’t after he started the car, also , so I have to worry about getting water on any part of the engine when I rinse it? Or I can dump the water in that area with no concern? Thank you for your help
Help please, IDK if im bleeding the system properly, but my 18 dodge challenger sxt has been overheating and i cant figure out why. Im afraid its the head gasket, unless im not properly burping the system. I've literally replaced the entire cooling system from the : cooling fan assembly, thermostat, water pump, and flushed the radiator, along with the Coolant temp sensor. This is my only means of transportation at the moment and cant afford a new vehicle since im still paying for this one. PLEASE HELP ME!
My oil coolant apparatus was leaking oil and coolant and they were mixing together and spilling out. Basically the oil is kept in a metal piece and the coolant is kept in a plastic piece. Plastic piece heats up over time and warps and I had to get a whole new housing unit for both! I got a metal one so this issue won’t happen again. It ran me $750 at a cheaper place and a more expensive place quoted me $1800. I have a Dodge Challenger. Hope this helps!!
@@NightCrawler810 after going to the dealership & told me nothing was wrong with my car I took the thermostat out cuz that was the only thing that made Senses & it fixed the problem & is only a few bucks

Check to see if it’s pressuring.ie remove the radiator pressure cap with the engine cold ,Start the engine and check for bubbles. If you see continued bubbles most likely a blown head gasket. If you are in the USA please contact me I will be more than willing to help.469 831 3132 Blessings!!!
Ok so I did this bleeding heat didn’t come out , so do I keep bleeding it with truck on and heat on maintaining coolant still with the bleeding screw open ?
2013 challenger rt replaced the ( thermostat, water pump, temp sensor reservoir cap) after that my overheating was fixed I did also replace the radiator a couple months back before the overheating but it’s all good now hope this helps those looking for an answer
Before you drive off ,Run the engine to operating temp and have the heater turned to maximum. If the heater is blowing hot 🥵 to normal heat then your system is fully bled.Don’t overfill the overflow tank.NB check your coolant level after the engine cools off and top up if needed.

I thought you was supposed to bleed the system with the engine running so it has pressure built up to push the air out of the bleeder screw?
That's how its done.
So helpful!
Thanks brother Josh!!
Thanks for the info.!!!
green coolant will mess up seals use mopar
is it ok to get all that coolant on the belts?
Yes it’s ok 👍🏾,Just rinse the coolant off by water.Since antifreeze doesn’t evaporate easily just use water to rinse off.Blessings.

Why is the coolant green?
Wrong coolant in vehicle at that time,Because I couldn’t get the specified coolant. You May still use whatever coolant you have if you need to.
