    Another new way to think about: if you keep eating something you don't like, your body starts to think that there's nothing else available, and to survive it helps you adapt to the taste to be able to keep eating it. But it doesn't mean you like it, or should keep eating it .

    I eat fruit on carnivore, the fruit being queen olives, about three to four a day for a week or so and then none for a month or so. I wouldn't consider eating any fruit containing fructose which, some say, is worse than sucrose, and some fruits are high in fructose.

    I have some of those natural bananas and they indeed are full of seeds. My rule for Rick's Heart Attack Diet was to eat as much meat and fat is possible. As for plants I say no leaves, stems, roots or seeds. Fruit in season is acceptable. Fermentation can make some veggies edible. I have challenged my vegan friends to eat whole vegetables raw and unseasoned. None ever do.

    On keto, for breakfast and evening meal I have 100g mixed fruit which is strawberries, blackberries, redcurrants and blackcurrants. With that I have 30g of seed/nut muesli which is sunflower seeds, flaxseed, pumpkin seed, chia seed, flaked coconut, macadamia nuts and walnuts. I add to that 30g heavy cream and 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder. For lunch I have beef, butter, eggs, sometimes with brussel sprouts 80g or a few lettuce leaves. Blood ketones are always decent, never out of ketosis. Very lean, well muscled etc. 153lbs at 5ft 7". Did carnivore strict for 6 months but feel better on current diet.

      @@max.german I arrived at carnivore not for myself, but for my wife. I suggested she tried it as she's had fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome for years. I started carnivore with her just to make mealtimes easier and to give support. From a personal standpoint I noticed a lot of mental clarity after just a few days of starting carnivore. I have a medical diagnosis of autism and adhd and carnivore fixed the adhd probably 9o%. On carnivore I ate 3 meals per day of various meats, had eggs at most meals, butter etc. So calories weren't lacking, I actually gained weight but it was mainly bodyfat rather than muscle. I train in my garage gym daily, stationary bike 30 mins per day. Did that for years before carnivore, during 6 months of carnivore and also now on keto. On keto I'm getting back to pre carnivore levels of leanness, trimmed a couple of inches off my waistline which is predominantly where I store fat the easiest. On carnivore I'd occasionally make ice cream from heavy cream and eggs. On those days my ketones would get quite elevated and mentally I felt even better. So I've drifted more towards keto than strict carnivore. Before keto/carnivore I was still low carb wholefood, but maybe averaged 80g to 100g carbs per day. Got down to around 12% bodyfat on that but that amount of carbs is poor for my adhd, find it hard to concentrate or sit still for long. On keto I'm at 30g net carbs per day and concentration is great. I'm maybe 7lbs away from being back at 12% bodyfat. Lost near 5lbs in the last few weeks after switching to keto.

    I am 2.6 years meat foundation paleo with low glycemic vegs and fruit. At the two year mark i added back root vegetables, fruit and legumes and dropped the fat content of my diet dramatically. 6 months later i had put back on 15 lbs.
    i have never had a problem with low glycemic vegs like asperagus, cabbage, peppers, onions, brocolli, fruit like avocado, olives, tomatoes, when not eating high glycemic. When eating high glycemic it creates gas because of fermentation. So April 1 i went back to the low glycemic vegs and fruit with higher fat and lost back 11 of the 15 in a little over a month.
    I primarily eat all kinds of meat, fish, eggs and the low glycemic vegs, fruit and fungus. I use to eat a fair amount of nuts but they are to damn addictive.

    As you suggested, I watched your video on why people shouldn’t eat plants but it doesn’t explain our teeth. We do not have the jaw of a carnivore. We have more grinding teeth than flesh tearing teeth. Also, during the ice ages people migrated to where they could find animals and plants to eat. Very few animals hung out on the “arctic” tundra. Very few animals still hang out on the arctic tundra. What are the grazing animals, which are humans’ primary animal protein source, supposed to be grazing on to feed themselves? There are valid reasons to reduce the amount of plant material we eat but you still haven’t explained our teeth not to mention our lengthy small intestine.

    • @Dirk_van_Tonder
      @Dirk_van_Tonder 4 месяца назад +3

      Humans could never attack their pray directly by biting like a lion, we always used tools. Spears/bows & arrows act as our 'canines/incisors'. Before these were invented we scavenged on carcasses left by big predatory animals but also ate fish at coastal regions.
      The human digestive tract is enzymatic in nature and does not employ fermentation. Fermentation is required to break down plant matter and this is done in the extended cecum in herbivorous animals whereas humans have a small cecum in comparison. Meat is broken down through enzymes very efficiently but our enzymes cannot break down plant fibers. There is a chap on youtube called Kent Carnivore who had colectomy surgery to have his colon removed. He has an external bag which collects food which has passed through the digestive tract and he can see exactly what gets digested and what does not. He has made a video on this below. Spoiler : plant foods don't get digested

      Our tools are our surrogate claws and fangs. I listened to a talk by Amber O'Hearn and she described humans as "lipovores" - early hominins using the simplest tool, a rock, to harvest the fatty bone marrow and brains that most carnivores can't access. This fatty diet leads to massive brain development at the expense of the gut (expensive tissue hypothesis) which means that we can figure out what to do with the sharp stone flakes that come about while we are crushing all those bones and skulls. Chimps use stones like this to get at nuts but despite millions of years of opportunity haven't figured out what to do with the sharp shards yet.
      I like the idea of being a lipovore.

    Now I would like to put my children on carnivore diet, but my wife is not for it. :) ... in her family lots of her relatives live/d for 90..100 years and for her it's always.. eat everyting in a small dose and don't feed yours self until your are completely full... moderation.

      The difference is that the food wasn’t as poisoned back then. The poison in the food nowadays even in small doses is poison. All of these diseases did not exist until we started eating this stuff. The more meat a population eats the healthier, taller and smarter they are. But I do understand your wife’s perspective kids to some degree need to be kids.

      @@max.german Luckily in Slovenia we still have lots of small farms producing food without any pesticides whatsoever. And at least here bio food is getting more popular. I don't fully understand why processed food is worse than raw plants. My main reasoning is that if you process, especially ultra-process, plants you're going to reduce/destroy many of their defense chemicals. So even if you end up adding a bunch of man-made horror chemicals into it, those surely have to be less bad than the ones that came with the plant. If this wasn't the case, you couldn't do it by law. An obvious example: almonds contain cyanide, but you can't add cyanide to processed food. You can keep it in if you put almond into a product, but surely ultra-processing almonds will get rid of some of that cyanide.

    • @nedasmozuraitis5818
      @nedasmozuraitis5818 4 месяца назад +2

      Probably because those man made chemicals are way worse for us. In addition to ultra processed food being engineered to be as addictive as possible.

      @Arkarian1987 4 месяца назад +2

      Processed is not the same as ultraprocessed

    • @trail.blazer
      @trail.blazer 4 месяца назад +1

      Ultra-processed typically means additions like high fructose corn syrup and oxidized seed oils. Those foods might also often include both high carbs and fats from oil; a bad mix. Some of the man-made additions are likely much worse that the original plants. Some countries put additives into foods that are even banned in other countries.
      Processed foods can mean anything. Butter made with cream and optionally salt is a processed food.
      Cassava (tapioca starch) is processed to remove cyanide, but that processing means fermenting, drying, and cooking. Nothing is added. It is not ultra-processed. It is also nutritionally devoid of anything except energy from carbs.

    "The seed is defended so animals don't get to it before it's planted". Not intirely accurate. Plants want animals to eat them so they can poop them out in a big pile of fertilizer.

    • @max.german
      @max.german  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes but they are so defended to the point that we can’t break many of them down. Which is why they pass through our bodies without being absorbed. The plant needs the seed to stay intact. So when the seed gets broken down as in we chew it the plant has essentially failed to reproduce. Which makes it incredibly defended.
