Bending, tapping, chicken picking, scratching, screeching... Eddie was the master!!
Romeo's Delight is a hidden gem.
Try "And the Cradle Will Rock."
Have you seen Jr's grades??? LOL
@@michaelfried3123 That's a great line 👍 In concert DLR will say ... "have you seen Eddie's grades?" 😂🤣
If lead guitar was like chess, Eddie would be thinking 100 moves ahead.
Love VH , Bassist Michael Anthony doesn’t get the love he deserves. His bass and vocals are second to none.
The Best VH album IMO
Eddie sound is insane and his playing is so aggressive he takes to another level…
..be 3 years on Friday since we lost the greatest player of a generation...still miss him, RIP EVH
I don't know if it's enough to say aggressive, the guy needed to make a guitar that was durable enough for him.
Mine too it was just raw, funky and every song was awesome
Van Halen is so insanely talented
One of the most underrated greatest riffs of all times.
"Jamie's Crying" , "Ain't Talking 'bout Love", "And The Craddle Will Rock" are all 🔥
Agreed. They'd already checked out 'Ain't Talking 'bout Love' some time ago 🙂
My favorite Van Halen song of all time
One of their best songs ever.
My favorite Van Halen album, and favorite Van Halen song.
The mighty VAN HALEN !
Love that Sam totally gets it and Phil being a buzz-kill. 😂
This album is one of the underrated albums with its dark sound it’s one of my favorites……
Definitely in the top 3. So dark and gritty.
FOUR KEYS TO THE VAN HALEN SOUND: DIAMOND DAVE’S HOOPS, HOLLARS AND SCREAMS, EDDIE’S GUITAR 🎸 ALEX’S SNARE DRUM 🥁 AND MICHAEL ANTHONY’S STRATOSPHERE BACKING VOCALS!!!
VAN HALEN: I SAW ALL THE TOURS WITH ROTH FROM VAN HALEN 1 IN 1978 TO 1984 AND AGAIN IN 2013! I SAW 5150, OU812, FOR UNLAWFUL CARNAL KNOWLEDGE AND BALANCE WITH HAGAR. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER EDWARD VAN HALEN!!! RIP EDDIE
You forgot Diamond Dave.
@@johnrogan9729 Thanks! Fixed it for ya!
Three years ago today we lost the Greatest guitar player ever. R.I.P. Eddie you are So missed.
The first 4 VH albums are perfect
No matter how many times I've heard this out of this world. Eddie van halen you are so so missed by millions
My favorite album along with the first album!
Fire 🔥🔥🔥 love Van Halen 💕 this whole album is 🔥 cover to cover ✌️
The groove is insane ❤
This is my #1 favorite song from the DLR era! Love the long powerful rifs.
My fav as well
Do you have a favorite song from the hagar era or did you not like the hagar era?
@@clemmer1794 I prefer the Hagar era. Black and Blue, hot Summer Nights, Best of Both Worlds, to name a few
Mean Street always fluctuates amongst my top three Van Halen songs along with Unchained and Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love. Depends on the day!!!
I remember I was 12 and my friend got this on release day, a 33 record and invited all of neighborhood kid's for a listening party. WOW was all we could say. Check out Unchained official video 🤘
I remember having to steal a starter for my car so we could go see this , Fair Warning, tour . Still David Lee Roth singi8ng and still the big V H lights come down from the ceiling....great show and tune
Good reaction guys, she was surfing 🏄♀️ the song …… she said what’s this…….🤭🤭I can’t stop moving 🫠🫠
Love Van Halen especially with David Lee Roth , a Frontman’s Frontman. Legendary Guitar Work from EVH , Wonderful Bass Lines & Killer Backing Vocals from Michael Anthony & Killer Drum Fills by Alex Van Halen. Wonderful Song from an Amazing Album
this was outstanding when they played it live.
One of my favorite songs!!😎😎😎
Known as guitar players favorite album, this is the 4th release and when Ed started asserting control over the band, and serious tensions with Roth began.
"Fair Warning " in my opinion is their best album. Raw& gritty!! It's the best from the Best!!VH \m/
After David Roth left Van Halen, he came back Years later & VH wrote "ME WISE MAGIC", you got
to hear that one, Ed's guitar playing, is INSANE on that tune... do that one next please...
The guitar in the song Amsterdam is rocking between Eddy and Mikey on Bass is awesome
Finally one of the Van Halen Songs If All Time
I don't know what you have heard Jamie's cryin everybody wants some and the cradle will rock
Running With the Devil would be great! it was thei 1st song on the 1st album (that changed rock/guitar forever and revived hard rock at the end of the 70s). It was the 1st song many people ever heard from Van Halen. Awesome song.
"I'm The One" off the 78' album. It's a Rock and Roll roller-coaster with Eddie showcasing many of his legendary guitar skills....and great drums, bass, and Dave had fun with this one, you can hear it.. it's a treat the recording sounds soo good. Thank you Ted Templeton!
This ☝️
I love singing this song. It's my second favorite. Ice cream man is my first favorite
Great riff. You can hear it in the last half of the eruption Solo
Greatest Halen tune of all time, or Dirty Movies off the same album.
One of their best from the David Lee Roth era.
Haven't heard this in forever. Thanks for the upload!
ANOTHER GREAT TUNE.THEY HAVE SO MANY GOOD SONGS WITH BOTH SINGERS.{M.G}orig,TORONTO, CANADA.
They were the days driving some of the baddest sport bikes in the country and jamming VH in the the earphones.
check out "Take Your Whiskey Home" from Van Halen
Top 5 VH song for me ... the vibe and tone is killer
"Their guitar work" lol one guy killing it
Damn how is NOW the first time you're hearing Mean Streets? WOW!
The video for this song is a must to watch and see the great Eddie rocking out and also plays the bass with Michael Anthony who is the bass player from the very beginning.
This is def my favorite DLR song.
This is my favorite album period! But there’s one song I’d love for you guys to react to and that is “ On Fire” off of Van Halen 1. The most underrated song in their arsenal. Nobody really ever mentions it but it’s hard, fast,it’s signature Van Halen sound and the greatest riff ever! Check it out.
Dirty Movies off the same album is a banger….. you guys rock!
This was my first concert. Oakland, Ca. 1981. I was 12, blew my mind completely. Filmed and played on MTV too
Try "Why can't this be love" with Sammy Hagar Om vocals, awesome.
Love this song! It’s on my playlist.
Glad you guy reacted to this one!
The Best, VH
This is a great album
By far the best album from Van Halen. Check out Sinners Swing off fair warning great song great album.
I want to throw a suggestion at you speaking of guitar work being second to none. I am not saying it's comparable, but "Mike Dawes - Jump" is one of the coolest Van Halen covers I've ever seen. He does the whole thing on fingerstyle guitar and makes that song into a pretty cool piece. I think ya'll would both enjoy it.
I always love watching female reactions to eddies playing. Something about his playing is very sexy to them. All I can say is that eddie had a very masculine sound when DLR was the singer.
This song is so percussive, with its uptempo time signature. You can’t simply listen to it only once.
You gotta do I'M THE ONE, ROMEO DELIGHT, FOOLS, and for the Hagar fans, DON'T TELL ME WHAT LOVE CAN DO. (Studio version. Not video which cuts out one of Eddie's solos.) All fire.
I agree I'm The One should be next!👍🎶
This is my favorite VH song. Just so heavy and funky. Eddie was a monster. RIP
"Now you know this ain't no thru street, the end is dead ahead. The poor folks play for keeps down here, they're the living dead." They just don't write songs like this any more. Simply one of my favorite VH songs from what is easily my all time favorite VH album.
...tru enough Brother, be 3 years Friday since we lost the greatest player of a generation...RIP Eddie, miss you.
This is my favorite song from the David Lee Roth era of the band. Eddie's riffs on this are a masterpiece.
Man, there are so many great V.H. songs. My favorites are from the D.L.R. years, maybe because that was my early teens, and V.H. was very different than anything up until then. I'm The One, On Fire, Romeo Delight, Is This Love. it goes on and on. Most every song on the first four albums is a must hear. This album was written during some dark times for Edward.
Their talking about Pasadena California where they all grew up,Sam looking beautiful as ever Phil your my hero🍦
Top tier S+ tier rock/metal masterpiece! 😎
Check out the album Women and Children First
Take Your Whiskey Home is so good!!
Atomic Punk next in the VH lineup
Love this song! There are so many awesome songs to listen to from VH. On Fire, Atomic Punk, Somebody Get Me A Doctor, Outta Love Again, Everybody Wants Some, Hang Em High, Little Guitars, etc
would LOVE LOVE LOVE for you guys to do some Sammy era stuff...it's a very interesting contrast (I LOVE both eras and would never be able to choose one over the other) but it would flex your analysis skills!!!!
Yes I agree definitely Ned some Sammy era stuff. Seventh Seal and Humans Being come to mind I absolutely love Eddie's tone on those songs.
thank you!@@mikexxx11
My favorite Van Halen song
The music Halen puts out is just pure energy, joy, bluesy sort of heaven. Now that I look to the next generation to find that raw energy I have a great band for you to catch - you'll want to be ready to go workout after hearing this song. Give Unleash the Archers- Awakening Full band playthrough a go. Have the fire extinguisher ready.
If you haven't done it. Ice cream man. I guarantee you'll like and add it to your playlist.
Great song!
Right now with Sammy singing
Great song - you may remember the intro riff from Eddie's live solo. Would love for you all to check out VH Live Without A Net ... Song: 5150 (that version) ... but you can't go wrong with most others!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
See if you can find Top Jimmy. Under rated song from the album 1984
Ah some nasty good guitar playing!!😊. Give me some VH anytime!❤❤
wanted to make request. skid row wasted time. powerful vocals. great story. this will blow you away. keep up the great work
Running With The Devil PLEASE
You should do Amsterdam live
Killer groove yo
Another great cut off this album is “Unchained”…..but this entire album is great to me and a bit of a departure from their previous albums, in that it has a bit of a darker, more cynical tone to it…. And, I think, one of their best, musically, speaking.
We loved unchained!
Do sinner swing. But it does have the f bomb in it. Warning lol
Atomic Punk, Light Up The Sky, DOA if you haven't already
Do Ice-cream man next.
Yea alot of people like this one but not my favorite either. Check out Ain't Talkin Bout Love; And The Cradle Will Rock; Ice Cream Man; You Really Got Me; Hot For Teacher. ✌❤
For a complete change of pace, listen to Big Bad Bill. You have never heard VH like this.
Ya know it’s good by looking at Sam’s stankface when the song started. 😂
😂
Song has almost a rumba beat. Lyrics are sick. But their best tune is Jamie's Cryin or DOA..
To ME, this is the essential VH....
Please react to some VH during the Sammy Hagar era. Very different but AMAZING ❤
Only one Eddie!!
Romeo Delight by VH. At their best!
