I first heard the AWB in the spring of 1975 - in my freshman year of college. Right after that I moved to Puerto Rico and listened to Pick Up the Pieces while putting up my surf posters on my bedroom wall, I lived right on the beach at the north shore of Isla Verde - It felt like the best summer of my life. Music links memory and emotion. Can you believe this was almost 50 years ago?? The music sounds like it could have come out yesterday. Thanks Guys!
I was at school when AWB were no 1. I remember a guy dropped his packed lunch and we shouted "Pick up yer pieces". (Scottish joke). Thanks very much for all your great music, saw you in the Glasgow Concert hall , sounding better than ever. PS Loved the way Hamish and Alan would swap bass.
This is Gold!! I grew up on this as my Father would bring these albums home and play them and sing along. Also, seeing Robbie on drums is a treat! Thanks!
Thanks for the fantastic music. I still often listen to AWB in Mexico. Thank goodness for earbuds. I’ve always wondered why the band softened its sound, so by the time Shine arrived it was more Earth Wind & Fire than JB.
I’ve loved these video clips from Onnie, watched all of the videos from the early days and loved every one. The more I listen, I realise how hugely talented this band is, musically, vocally, their harmonies and the fact that in the main they penned their own tracks. Hugely talented guys from my hometown 🤩♥️🤩

AWB has been and always will be "The Real Deal" since they began back in 1972!!!

Onnie is a legend. Nobody better on rhythm guitar.
PUTP is my driving song - really loud with the subwoofer kicking it. I don't know what version I have but it's super bassy.
Onnie , you are loved!

Legendary guitarist and band. So happy to see some footage I haven’t seen before of the classic lineup. Tightest band I ever saw 👏🏻👌
Onnie played one-off the all time great solos on Work to Do, it’s up there in my mind with the solos like that on Kid Charlemagne, etc🎸🤘🏻
My 2 Favourite bands are AWB and Steely Dan, separated by an ocean but similar influences and very different but both so talented.
