Helen, I really appreciate so many of the ideas in this video, but ESPECIALLY the idea of writing down 3-5 to-do’s on a little notepad to focus on and then putting your planner to the side. So often I complete a to-do list and then find that looking at it makes me feel anxious and overwhelmed. I will be trying your strategy ASAP ❤️
I’m so pleased you found it helpful Gretchen! That one little thing has changed my productivity so much as I find it so much easier to focus and feel much less overwhelmed by all the tasks. I really hope it helps you too 🥰❤️
Thanks Helen, I loved hearing about your planning system and how it keeps you super organised. Lots of great tips, particularly in terms of the monthly view. I always underutilise this view for planning and your approach really makes sense, thank you for sharing!
Some great tips and ideas Helen. I wish I’d had you around in my working life as this would have been invaluable. Now I’m retired not so much planning is necessary for me personally! However it’s great to watch and thank you for the video x
Really enjoyed seeing your planning process. I do miss having a paper planner but I tried so many and never found one that worked well for me. I am now using Notion and have been for a couple of years (I think) and I love it. I do still have a little notepad on my desk though as I still love ticking tasks off with pen and paper 😊
Seeing it all laid out in small bite-sized pieces. I really need to look at some of my art pieces for that system. I've shared before that having 2/3 pieces on the go has really helped but there is no real organisation to it. That means at times like the present when my anxiety demons have taken up residence, I don't know what to do or where to start. If I had already thought about it, getting going might be easier. Thank you as always Helen. Something for me to think about!
I’m so pleased you found it helpful Julia. Removing as much decision making as possible can be so helpful. It really helps to just get you started. Let me know how you get on ❤️
Thank you for this video, Helen! I found it to be really helpful. Thank you also for sharing the journal you use as I ust haven't found the right one, but this one I think will be the ticket for me.
Helen: this video was a great help for breaking things done. I found I was doing several of those things already, but I certainly picked up several other helping points. Thank you. Carol from California
A really helpful video. I think i have the same little notepad...it came in the Cult Pens advent calender...at the time i didnt think it would be useful but oh my goodness...i use it all the time and its such nice quality.
Well spotted on the notepad! It was such a lovely addition to the calendar and I agree about the quality. I’m so pleased you enjoyed the video, thank you ❤️

Hiya, where do you get your Hobonichi from? I've struggled to find a reputable company. Thanks!
I bought mine directly from the Hobonichi website towards the end of last year. The shipping was really speedy and reliable.
I am new to your channel and find we think alike! Do you also keep a commonplace journal and if so could you share your organization of information?
