Im glad you mentioned the time limit for a relaxer. Back in the day my beautician would say " the longer it stay on, the straighter." Our hair would break-off like crazy back in the 90's. Black folks all over the world, we got to take better care of our hair. Love the video.

You are one of the best beauticians and teachers I have seen in a long time. I watched your story, and you really had a hard time, had many set backs, but here you are, you persevered and crossed that river! I try to tell young people, don't give up if something doesn't work one way, try another. So in closing, I know your parents are proud of you, and I think that not only are you an intelligent young lady but very smart.

Everything she says and do about hair, my stylist used to do and say the same. She relocated and I miss her dearly. They are on the same level. Caring for hair and promoting healthy hair. I came into her salon scared to take a chance and it was the best decision I have ever made for my hair lol. It was so long, bouncy and just healthy and beautiful after just 6 months of seeing her every 2 weeks. Around a year, people was like is that weave or bundles...she was the truth. My hair grows so slow but she helped to promote growth and keep it thriving. 💕💕love to all the great stylists and hair care professionals out there. Your services are underrated.

I went natural about ten years ago and I have low porosity hair it's is fine or thin. I got a short cut and since I been following you and your instructions my hair has more density. I love the short cut and I appreciate the care and instructions you provide. You are the best at what you do Crystal!!!!!!$$

You’re so right!!!! I relax my hair and I’ve worn my hair natural. Natural was more expensive. And my hair felt healthier with a relaxer. It grows better. But, to each it’s own!! That’s my preference as well!! 👍🏾😁

What people don't tell you is what they have done to their hair. They don't go to the salon and get deep conditioning treatments, use too much heat, improper
weave installations, braids, and leaving protected hair styles in too.
Yeah I feel like my stylists pull my hair out, overprocess etc and they don’t care about it in the long term

I’m a white girl. Hairdresser since 86’, specifically a perm tech/specialist, now retired. Never worked with formal relaxers. On Caucasian hair we just use exothermic perms.(heat producing). .to pull natural curls out . (With moderate success). I’m scared to death of chemical relaxers. It takes a great deal of skill and knowledge to wrestle with that beast. You’ve mastered this. What I really want to tell you is , I wouldn’t usually admit this, but I cried. It’ll be a long time before I will have forgotten this video. I am so deeply touched by the clients reaction. Just a beautiful feeling , thank you for sharing this moment in time with us.
