Self-made V12: first startup and drive

- After we spent a few episodes building this one up, it's time to have some fun - drive around, break something, fix it, repeat, you know, the usual stuff.
Our instagram / garage__54 Авто/Мото
You should do four engines - one directly driving each wheel
Sounds like my electric vehicle design I’m working on, except it will have a ratio system similar to a ring sun planet gear set, just maybe only with the motors (outrunning) as the planets and the ring being installed on the rim
We had the same idea, lol.
@@Alexander.0671 cool! I was thinking they could do something like the centrifugal clutch they built using a drum brake in an earlier episode and have that driving each wheel that would be epic
Yeah with giant straight cut gears. How does the power from the top engines make it to the wheels?
@@edchair3559 teethed belt, timing belt can be used from modern engines. You should have therm plenty for free because they get old
When you want more power from your car.
Normal people:
Install Turbos
Russians:
Install engines
And add some power
And add better mileage
Maybe a powerfull turbo cost the same as a Lada engine in Russia, or maybe more expensive. :D
Tractor pulls use motors connected like this

This comment somehow reminds me of the Air Force.
That's exactly what I was thinking 😂
Make a two engine lada; one in the front and one in the back with 4x4 drive system
How about 3 in the back and 3 in the front
If I'm not mistaken they already did it
why not one engine for each wheel
Like the 2cv 4x4 lol
@@hafidz5533 3 engines for each wheel
These videos are why I pay for internet
Put the engines in the back, more traction and possibly will do wheelies!
do they have access to electric on in one wheels? the 300hp ones? koenigsegg makes it
*will* do wheelies, haha!
Me: omg smudged windscreen i cant see
Garagebossman: v12 engine i can see out perfect
Suggestion: Make a electric-Lada using only startermotors attached to the gearbox. Only Lada-startermotors. Lots of them!

I would connect each engine to a torque convertor and then chain drive the three torque convertors together. That way there is much more allowable engine speed variations. Plus you would have massive torque. Call it Nada-Lada-Zilla
100% brain power
I've seen a torque converter come flying off @ 7000 rpm on an engine in an engine run stand and near kill people because it didn't have the added support of the trans input shaft and bell housing. Sounds fun but support those converters.
Aight I think the most logical name for it, is "GAZ DAMN"
VTF?! (Volga the f*ck)
@@hypernova3527 haha I like it! The both work very well, it's full name will have to be "gaz damn, volga the fuck"
SATAN 3
IDEA: Try to use toothed belt and 3 identical cog pulleys. Use one distributor for 12 cyl engine coupled to the main engine camshaft. Then set timings of the first cylinders of each engine at 0⁰ 30⁰ and 60⁰ respectively. Cable distribution from distributor to spark plugs: main engine receives cables 1, 4, 7 and 10, second engine 2, 5, 8 and 11 and third 3, 6, 9, 12. In order to have right firing order. You have to be really accurate with synchronizing these 3 crankshafts. I suggest you to use pulleys with 48 teeth or 36, easier to set angular offsets.
i think you should hire this guy to consult, he seems to know stuff

TWO motors in the rear, TWO motors, in front ! one per wheel :p

I never expected to see a Y12 engine, but thanks youtube for this awesome recommendation
Great fun watching this! 3 x engines in the front is extreme but too heavy - the front digs into the snow. Put the 3 engines in a trailer driving a huge great generator, towed by the car which is driven by 4 x big electric motors, one for each wheel - or as many Lada starter motors as you can find!

Let's call it, Ladaran or Synczilla!!! great channel Garage 54.
You will need a periscope to see where you are going in that machine
Larger rear wheels and something to add weight to the rear.
If you have all that weight in the front there is very little weight to push the rear down and transfer the power.
Stripping the weight at the front could help a little like removing lights and body panels etc.
You could mount the radiator on the roof to try centre the load between the front and rear wheels. (possibly other engine components?)
In terms of drag racing, tyres with screws in an ice enviornment is ideal for traction but larger tyres will help a great deal or reducing tyre pressure to maximise contact with the road.
Once you have the added traction as mention you can then start tweaking the engines to get more torque.
These dudes are beyond mad!!! I love it!!!!!
"V"ladzilla aka the Russian Godzilla would be a nice fitting name

you guys are great! that looks like good fun!
i still think though there needs to be a way to link the torq of the engines together. having them connected through the harmonic balancers is like putting on a supercharger. at the end of the day its only one engine powering everything.
some have sugested a engine for every wheel. you could still use the current configuration with some small changes.
i cant wait to see where this build goes next!
Could be over 100 horsepower, most powerful Russian car ever.
I dont know about the horsepower in an engine, but russian cars are made for war, which means unkillable machine, easy to fix, cheap, reliable... Yes, slow, but reliable. I had few Lada Nivas, I had to pull few times machines heavier than my Lada niva - A truck ( small cargo truck ) and a huge mdfrcking Offroad truck ( jeep whatever ), that was with diesel V8, buig engine, big tires, and stuck in a winter ice mud in the noght... I had no problems pull them out.. My dad had Volga ( old ones, made somewhere in the middle of 70's ) ...This car was able to work with a ducktaped stearing weel - shaft for a week until we've got the spare part we needed to fix the car.... And soooo on, so, on, so on. And no, I am not from Russia.
