The past year or two Ive been hooked on youtube. 99% of the channels I went through and watched regularly got boring and repetitive after a year. This channel is one of the few that still give me a good laugh every single time. Thanks to everyone on the team, keep it up.
Have you seen Project Binky? :)
@@alagnianos yes almost from start , lol what a journey that has been . and almost finished now .
Nice profile pic dude. Carl is the best.
Some good Russian fun and ingenuity. Respect
@@alagnianos no, but thanks for the suggestion, I will have to check them out.
Everyone in the shop gets to make one wheel of their choice of tire and wheel, and see who's will launch the furthest off a large ass ramp.
a almost straicht up ramp to launch the wheel will be fun
Fill the tire with solid led and rev it Up to supersonic speed then send it 🤘🤘 but get the hell out of its way!
Wheels with spikes ... Box frame pieces for extra traction ... The possibilities bare endless
I'd go bike tire
Launch it in the side of a lake or a lagoon, to see how far can the tire go until it sinks
Are you able to shoot the tyres across a river and see if it gets to the other side.
Now I need to know!
This
Nah, resistance is just too high. Finnish guy tried that already with wheels from 2 wheelers.
ruclips.net/video/YwHIFP4UbfI/видео.html
@@IrnFox i think a car tire would have more flotation than a bike tire, and with more speed it could skip right over the water?
@@JongLohngson At some distance, yeah, but as you can see from the bike tyre vid, thinnest one actually got furthest, since it had least resistance!
The detached mechanism you come up with is excellent
It is really impressive.
I didn't really expect it to work at such high speeds.
@@DataLog The beauty of their mechanism is it works better the higher the wheel speed is
Very much. Super simple, yet it worked beautifully, until it grenaded itself
I could watch these tire launching videos weekly. Great stuff guys! After binge watching y’all’s videos today I’ve figured out that It is true, rednecks exist all over the world, not just in the southeastern part of the U.S where I’m from.
These guys are living their best lives, doing all the nonsense we wish we had room and funds for.
So true
Hell I think 3/4 of the stuff these guys do on this channel would get us arrested in the United States. Pretty sad to think the people of Russia have more personal liberty and outright freedom than we Americans could ever dream of. The only thing we have is the right to bear arms own guns. That is if your government approved now.
@@danielfouardlibertarianono8017 I always thought that Americans are more relax about car regulations than Europeans although I think Russians are more like Greeks in a way, they have some regulations but who cares?
@@danielfouardlibertarianono8017 What a load of shit. American youtubers do all kinds of crazy awesome shit that would get you arrested in plenty of other places. The idea that russians have more personal liberties than Americans is laughable in the extreme. And you brush off the right to bear arms like its meaningless. And what exactly have they done on this channel that you couldn't do in the US?
Each time a tire is released I can hear Colin Furze yelling "RipTire!"
Hell yeah!
A collaboration between these two would be GOLD

Reminds me of a horror movie called "Rubber" about an out of control tire with murderous intent. It's one of the most ridiculous movies ever made.
We must condom "rubber" violence
Hahaha, oh man i have to see that.
Same era as "hobo with a shotgun"
I loved that movie. The sheer stupidity of it is what made it so perfect.
Sounds like absolute garbage.. I have to see it!
Your launch of the 17 inch that looked like a pool ball trick shot was awesome. I love how it hit, spun and slid around the car and up the hill it went.
A true 'hit & run'. It was struck by a smooth criminal...
That setup to stop the hub and unscrew the wheel is pure genius.
This was one of my favorite episodes, please fix this gorgar machine and make it even more powerful, my favorite thing about this channel is everything, even the element of mayhem, it's raw and not pussified in any way shape or form and safety goggles are optional!!! good work, bigger rear end, much larger engine. Thank you!!!
We need this test to see again but on concrete or somewhere where you can get more grip.
maybe a dragrace between it and the supra
And with a drag slick at low pressure!
This is good quality entertainment, any day of the week! Grab a beer and laugh your ass off. Great job guys. US subscriber here.
That was such a smart release mechanism.
So happy they did an idea I suggested, and so much better than I imagined.
I love this guy. He has all of the awkwardness, voice and body of a Dad who found out about youtube two weeks ago.
But like a cool Dad you wish was your Dad.
Great ideas on this channel!
That looked so cool when the tire was doing a burnout taking off!
When he opened that door after 4 or 5 hit I really hoped that he will keep it open so wheel would get into interior, that would be interesting in my opinion. Oh well
I'm from the USA me and my son loves your content glad to see you back i can watch for hours and it never gets old be safe
Garage 54....the only Channel where Tyres making Burnouts without the Car attached 😂😂😂
Thank you for this fun time. I enjoyed it totally. Everybody needs a little fun in life . I look forward to more from you. Syracuse, NY, US.
could you send a wheel across water with this device? That would look cool!
I love this channel :D, got me so many laughs at their crazy experiments :D
Ah, garage 54 found the hard way to perform friction welding 😂
It ain't going 600kph. Maybe 60mph.
The turning speed is but yeah it doesn't translate to speed moving forward
The tire isn't getting traction
That really is a clever way of getting the wheel to come free.
I was thinking it would be something mechanical that pushed the wheel off to the side or something, but as soon as I saw those shiny threads....
I recall seeing a Lada in a repair shop in Toronto back in the early 1980s. Something had struck the rear door and caved in the panel several inches, yet the door was square in its frame and miraculously, the glass wasn't broken. That's incredibly strong. However, a spinning wheel is a whole other order of magnitude.
Have they done the longest exhaust system in the world? I mean, would that make the enginge more quiet?
That would be awesome to see.
I already picture all the exhaust pipes running all over the car
They tried the most silent exhaust.
ruclips.net/video/8GRSgCs-lKM/видео.html
Close enough? :D
They did a multiple muffler one a while ago, even something like 4 mufflers per each cylinder.
That was a awesome idea, and it was perfectly executed, all you guys are the best, thanks for sharing.
It's crazy how powerful a spinning wheel is. I once worked at a car dealership, had a customer who came in with a truck that pulled to the left. I had the oil change guy swap the tires to see if it began pulling to the right, drove it on our test track, and after I hit 60 miles/hour, the steering wheel sharply pulled left, I said "That's bad" then it pulled left harder and stayed there as the truck fell and started slowing down rapidly. The oil change guy didn't tighten down the lug nuts on the left front wheel and it launched off into the road, hit a curb, flew into the air over the fence of the nearby Ford dealer's body shop, took the door off a car, then finally landed and crushed a brand new Mustang. Needless to say the poor oil change guy was fired.
After watching the total destruction of the axle shaft in the water launch video... do we need to setup a donation to send over a beefy American truck axle? Like a Dana 60 for example? I'm sure the guys could modify the axle shaft to accept cheap used Russian wheels. We need to see how hard this machine can be pushed!
Yes!!!
Keep the machine going, this is incredible!
A tire launch on a lake this winter would be sweet... If you are able to find a lake with no homes nearby. The wheel will probably drift far off course.
This channel deserves more subs and views.
You can see colin furz he did something similar but garage 54 nailed it 👍
Well done! Who said tires aren't dangerous projectiles?
Years back my parents were driving in a Toyota pickup on the interstate. A big rig lost a wheel off one of its trailer Duallys. That large 180+# tire - wheel combo hit them at a combined speed of over a hundred miles an hour head on. It bent the front crossmember for the frame and push the front end and radiator into the engine as it came up through the Hood it tore through the windshield bending the upper windshield frame in nearly a foot. My father maintain complete control. And despite all the little beads of glass that flew in at them from the inner laminate of the windshield, neither were injured. The Trucking company purchase them a new pickup as theirs was less than 1 month old. And since my parents we're not greedy and litigious they seeked no other damages.
I love how the truck tire smashed the back of the Lada with force and then was like, “Pardon me, I’ll just go around!” side-stepped, and then proceeded to bounce up the hill.
You will be able to recover the files from the broken camera, great video.
Russia doesn't need guns anymore, they can simply just launch tires at ya & destroy anything :DDD How ever.. I wonder what would happend with a truck tire from top speed :0
Destruction to whatever it hits lol
The axle couldn't take it
It's the most hilarious thing I ever seen 15:50 . The wheel is like tom and jerry
16:05 the tiny slow little sound for a hit for a big dent is just hilarious
Holy hell haven't laughed this hard in a while. Thanks fellas :D

love your videos your living every boys dreams and bringing them to life great to see the enjoyment you get from your antics
it was fun to watch this. It made me laugh when the wheel lost it's speed in the middle, then hit the camera, then it found it's way between the car and the reel. The the 17" wheel went around the car after hitting the car, and then Vlad's reaction when the machine broke at the final attempt.
Next up on Garage 54 , we do a performance cam shaft grind with a grinder ,stay tuned to see if we made horse power or lost some
Love the show try launching a tractor wheel at the car. I would love to see the damage that causes 🙂
A bus/semi wheel and tire would be cool, but the machine isn't even close to handling that.

Beef the whole contraption up with truck parts so u can shoot truck tires!
Or even smaller tractor tires!!!
Or launch car tires even faster?
@@TheAttacker732
I won't think it can go even fast, but it will last much longer!
I still want to see an engine filled with 10-15 minute epoxy while running!!!
Why 😅?
@@killerdinamo08 for science haha
To see if the heat and agitation will keep the epoxy from setting up, or to see if the engine is able to overcome the epoxy solidifying with shear power. What will the engine do? Lock up? Keep going? Slowly wind down as the epoxy solidifies? Will it stop the pistons, or stop the crankshaft or valves? There's a lot to find out
Would most likely clog the oil feed line and starve the engine out of oil, epoxy solidifies in stages and wouldn't have time to stop the moving parts by just sticking them together, plus the oily surfaces won't help to adhere. They did fill an engine with a lot of superglue a while ago when they used to do experiments with a tremendous number of regular stuff in various ways, and the result was a clogged oil feed which affected the engine, altough at one point the engine was struggling to move when the glue began doing it's magic 😂.
@@killerdinamo08 I would assume the same, but actually a lot of epoxy is on the thinner side and might be able to flow through the oil lines. Maybe thin out the epoxy so it would flow until it starts to setup, which occurs rather quickly once it does. The superglue engine had to sit for 24 hours before it started to set up, as I'm guessing there wasn't enough air for the vocs to evaporate, which I don't think it would happen to epoxy. Also, I don't think they would be able to get the engine apart without cutting though the heads, block ect
ITS A REAL LIFE RIP STICK lol... loved these as a kid me and my brother would play for hours down our long hallway/.// only thing that sucked is when you use the streetbike tire or dirtbike tire and it comes flying at your face lol... LOVE THIS GUYS !!! CHEERS FROM FLINT MICHIGAN !!!!
The way it's being used to overdrive one axle is the reason. The side gears are not designed to spin fast at all. Holding one side spins the other twice as fast but spins the spider gears way faster than ever intended for any extended period.
Try this at a drag strip or runway, so that your tire has more traction. One way to avoid galling is by using different metals on the thread and nut portion of you release mechanism. Some "anti-seize" lube instead of grease, should help also.
With light weight traction won’t be better on tarmac… dirt with extra tread would be.. also galling is based with aluminum… steel on steel is fine. Lastly anti seize is for corrosion and rust I inhibition. They need anti friction. Graphite lube woulda worked great. Learn more before spouting off… as an actual mechanic and engineer….
this is great!!!!
This has always been one of the fun channels on RUclips. Thanks for making such mechanically dangerous experiments. The video camera has gotten a lot better too! 😎
This continues to be the greatest channel ever.
Please launch a wheel at Tony Fauchi, wearing double face masks. If large wheels get through, *the lockdown must end.*
This guy does some of the most amazing stuff,. Then he throws in some funny shit. Too 🤣🤣
Do away with the differential gears entirely, but keep one axle tube and shaft, add bearings as needed. Turn motor 90 degrees, connect gearbox output to axle shaft using industrial coupling.
For threads, dissimilar metals will avoid galling Also, not sure if they are suitable, but the high taper threads used on oil field drill pipe come to mind.
Build a rocket, equip with military grade telescope, send rocket to space, obtain neat overhead view of the experiment. Not sure how the details would work out. (This is how your comment sounds)
@@tiberiu_nicolae any skilled tinkerer will know how to do all these things

And this is why I love this channel 🤣🤣🤣 y'all are freaking legends
Haven't even got through the machine rebuild, and know this is going to be awesome.
now that's what you call a 17" single wheel drift, one of the funniest things i've ever seen so far.
Alright boys, the concept works well so it's time to go all out and engineer a real "professional" wheel spinner/launcher machine. We need more revs, quicker spin up, an indestructible safety cage, better launch release mechanism, and reliable long range remote controls. And the drivetrain has to be indestructible as well. I can't wait to see what experiments you could do with a machine that doesn't hold you back!
Tips:
machine a thick non cv solid driveshaft from billet steel
add differential oil cooling with an electric pump, radiator and fan.
make the frame very strong and rigid so you get less vibrations (maybe give it a roll cage?)
use a higher quality differential and make sure all the tolerances are correct
mount all the components to the frame in a stronger way
A 100% 1 tire fire system only heard of this from go-karts!!! LOL
108% on demolishing the car, imho.
You guys are amazing in how you manage to get these funky, bizarre experiments to work.
Genuinely impressive (I mean the Lada)...
you guys are great too!!
That was entertaining. Was jarring out at the big tire going sideways after hitting the car while still spinning, then just keep going in the bush lol.
Now THIS is next-level tom-foolery. I love it.
You need to do repairs and revisit this. Pure hilarity! I loved it.
REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE:
When I was 19 I experienced a real example of this tire launching hazard!!!
A pickup truck moving approximately 40 mph in the opposite lane lost their left-rear wheel roughly 150 feet before we were going to pass each other!
Me going north at 40 mph + tire going south at 40 mph = 80 mph impact
If I hit the brakes: tire would've still hit me due to our distance+speed and angle
All I could do was slam the accelerator and pray I could pull myself out of the path the tire was going to roll.
IDK how close behind me it was as we passed but I looked back and saw the tire hit a square curb & launch itself at least 50 ft in the air!
I'm 30 years old now & I drive for a living, but that tire launching at me is still the craziest automobile experience I've personally ever had....
AND I'VE BEEN A PASSENGER IN A CRASH THAT WE HAD TO BRACE FOR BECAUSE WE COULDN'T ESCAPE THE PATH OF THE ONCOMING CAR!
hahaha that all sounds pretty crazy and well... it was!
So TLDR this CAN absolutely happen
Why is Vlad dressed like Hamburglar?
I like how the safety structure of the car is completely destroyed by a tire, yet it does literally zero damage to a piece of wood.
Anybody remember the "Fly Wheels" toys? Especially the "Rapid Fire" launcher? Never thought I'd see the day that somebody would make a full size version. Hell yeah!
We add ballast to the tires on our tractors, well the tubes inside the tractor tires anyway I'd like to see liquid ballast added to the tires you launch at the target car. I think the 13inch wheel would do alot better with more weight and still being a small size. The liquid ballast could also help with the stability of the wheel and tire as it's rolling pluss add traction resulting in higher speed when it impacts the target. I imagine it will be significantly more dangerous. I also think just a wheel with some metal welded around it would be destructive but hard to balance and could come apart wile spinning it up to launch but I'd love to see you guys give that a try also. Just add a a little more scat to the motor like nitrous shot or a bit of boost would prob be more reliable. Hot rod everything! I subscribed and Gona order some merch next payday so keep the videos coming.
Ladies and gentlemen, let Garage 54 reintroduce a fun little toy from the 2000's as a life sized equivalent.
In other words, it's a Flywheels.
DeWalt's electric concrete nailer uses a flywheel to hit hard, it spins up a heavy wheel inside, and then it shoves the hitting rod against it, the rod is launched at high power and speed, giving phenomenal nailing, with electricity only :)
Garage 54 Ballistics edition. I love watching you guys perform these sorts of experiments. Could not stop laughing with you.
You should add a Sibir winter ready jacket. Would love to wear a thick really warm jacket here in Norway in the winter and supporting one of the most innovating car channel here on RUclips at the same time.
Happy to see you back Vladimir. Love from Norway! And no more sick days for the rest of the year, ok?...

I love this guy the hell with caution into the wind like these wheels.
8:25 and the total annihilation of another GoPro 😂 I'd love to know how many you guys have been through...
I have a friend who owns a wrecker business and went on a call where a wheel came off a car at 65mph crossed the grass median and went through the windshield of a car in the opposite side of the highway that was moving 65mph. It killed the driver and son who was in the back seat. The mother and daughter who were in the passenger side of the car were unharmed just some minor glass cuts. It was a horrible wreck scene. Could not imagine the sound and witnessing 1/2 my family dieing by a tire smashing through my car like that. They will certainly never forget that day
7:58 Wow, the sound waves, or shock waves distorting the light waves that make the image of the camera is just crazy
I'm looking forward to more of this mayhem machine!
If you tried this in America you'd have 11 police cars roll up to tell you you're breaking 27 different pointless laws, issue a dozen tickets, then search your vehicle 🤣🤣🤣
15:58
*Tire:* "Aight, Imma head out"
Mad as a brush. But bloody brilliant. Keep up the great content guys, much love from the UK
How about overhauling the machine? Larger diff, Truck transmission & driveshaft. Shorter, coarse threads on the adapter, and a big ol' dollop of anti-sieze compound on the threads.
Then for the tire, something about 15 inch but with mud treads or Ag-treads (V-tread) Pump in about a gallon of water into the tire for some extra "ooomph!"
The weight of the water may reduce the initial rip-ems, but may provide more inertia once it gets really choochin'
Hell yeah.
Find a place with a concrete wall and a 150m runup, use the machine there on a better and smoother surface, so it could literally reach around 250kmh before the impact! Would love to see that hit the old lady lada.
This one was great. Gave me a good chuckle! All in the name of science!
