I have wanted to try one of those backs on my Hasselblad 500 c/m, for now it’s a dream on a shelf. I do still shoot film with it however.

The 500CM has been my main camera since 2006. Can’t wait to get one of these backs for it!

fyi there is a way to get the flash trigger on a shoe, but Not on the 907x it goes on the CFVii50C top, there is a plastic cover surrounding the back release button, you take this off, and replace it with the cold shoe adaptor, then attach the cables to the bottom sockets[if the back is set for FLASH sync], if the back is on a 500 or 200/2000 series body, or a LF camera (including the Cambo Actus and Alpha systems) then it depends which shutter you are using whether it gets the signal from the focal plane socket on the body, the 'e-shutter' of the back, or the lens sync socket {X not M, as the bulb is a Zenon [technical name for fluorescent lights]-as its the gas ignited by the spark, the M has a 60 Millisecond. delay for Chemical 'flashes' to allow it to heat up to WB properly with std film}.

Thanks for your video ! I wish I could have a chance to test a combination of classic Hassy and modern back. Its a pity that , there is not many videos about 907x (

I understand better now what you meant in a comment in your other video about the crop factor of the CF50 over film. It makes more sense to me now. The cost of those backs is still very high unless you're making a good living from photography (I'm not) so I will stick to my 6x6 film frames for now I think...until the day comes that I have folks knocking at my door every weekend! :-)

Fingers crossed! And I'd also imagine when new versions become available, there'll be a good used market for the current digital backs.

I have used the v system for over 20 years professionally... The most important advantage of the V system is the square format and leaf shutter... having a corped non square format back just kill the deal for me...
