Hi Eric, at 11:11 min, you can use live view on any 500 series body too, it 's just a matter of setting the lens in bulb mode, the mirror up and keeping the shutter open. This way the digital sensor has access to live view.
Yep. Can confirm this is the case. With some of the classic Zeiss CFI glass and the colour science from this back, some really beautiful results are possible. Happy shooting!!
Eric, thank you very much another excellent video presentation! I’m actually thinking of buying the digital back and a 503CE, so it’s a perfect time to view this! Greetings from 🇨🇦
Eric, at 11:14 you put the lens into F mode, this leaves the shutter open, then IN the menu select shutter latency mode to allow two shots, one for live view/wake-up, the second to take the shot, also lv mode can be selected in the menu's to. (with the mirror-up and the lens in F you should be able to live view the shot).
Thank you. When I reviewed this camera, I had it for a very short time. Now I bought one myself so I will make more videos about it, so your tips are very welcome 😄
@@EricGibaud one tip, this CFV50Cii back has a few quirks, one is that it's back can be put on view cameras and technical cameras, BUT if no communication is possible, that is what the TWO flash sync's are for , the IN is to trigger the shutter (aka tell the camera when the leaf shutter goes off(with the flash PC sync cable)), so it knows when to capture, the OUT is to go to a flash, in NORMAL mode (when on the 907x, or a 500 series), this is the flash signal, to fire. When using on either Hasselblad version (200/500/907x) you need to tell the back what system it is on, and it configures a few settings for you, this flash setup, as above, but also some crop options, and if the TTL OTF meter can be connected to meter the scene.
@@EricGibaud you CAN fire a V system lens, when on this back (907x adapted), but you need a PC mutar and a cable release, the PC mutar has a cocking lever on top, and the shutter actuating gear to use the lenses, just have to be creative in how you use it. ( and account for the 2X conversion factor- as it is a tele-convertor as well ! ), the MATHPHOTOGRAPHER channel has done some weird, if not ingenius combinations with this concept, a H lens, the HTS 1.4, adaptors, to this style (X1D If I recall correctly)
I have the 907X system with the CFV50 II. I use the digital back on a 500CM, ELM & SW body. I do have an adaptor to use my CF lenses on the 907X or I just use the back on the 500CM. Live mode works with the back on all the camera bodies. Great photos and the ledges continue. I am very glad I purchased the 907X and never sold the older lenses and bodies.
Yes, exactly. This sensor is also used by Fujifilm on gfx 50r, 50s, 50s II and Pentax medium format, but they don’t achieve what Hasselblad does. Thank you for your comment
I’ve been using the 503cx for a while, and recently splashed out on the 907x… if I use the 907x and have the screen flipped to 90* for “waist-level” use, I keep trying to turn it the wrong way, as if it were the 503😂😂

this is a wonderful camera , and you done a great presentation. Love that Hasselblad is back in the game.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience!
great video, one thing eric, the sensor is from Sony, but Hasselblad process it with their own colour science, so it is an individual look.

You can also shoot video w/V series bodies & glass. I throughly enjoy seeing that classic Hasselblad look in video too.
Yes that is right. Thank you
