How do you think the Lego handheld game saga ended? Good or bad? Let me know! Also what’s your favourite out of all of the games from this series :D Also sorry about the time stamps not being in the video. I’ll add them when I get home!
Honestly, I wished it didn't ended. Like I understand why Nintendo decided that it will be a good choice to say goodbye to the 3ds and announce/release Nintendo Switch in 2017 which can run console games on that handheld pretty well, but on the other hand the LEGO games on handhelds (DS, 3DS and PlayStation Vita) were meant to be diffrent from their console counterparts. I really had fun playing some of them in my life (even though those games were played on emulators, but I do hope I can get either some of the handhelds like 3DS, PlayStation Vita or Switch) on the other hand I still enjoy both the console and handheld counterparts. Not every game is meant to be perfect. A lot of them are really diffrent from one to another. There are the positive/negative ones that I cannot believe how many LEGO games on handhelds you've actually beaten (it must've felt like a really long to do list, isn't it). Anyways, the saga had some of the best and worst LEGO games in its saga, but some of them can be really enjoyable and feel really fun to play.
Also, I've once imagined how LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 would've looked on the 3DS, like the hub world that's somewhat similar to LEGO Marvel's Avengers on the same platform, multi-challenges being wiped out of existence and how many characters from the console version appear in this one.
As weird as it is, my favorite portable game is Lego Star Wars 2. It just has such a unique charm that no other Lego game has been able to replicate (EX: The AT-ST swimming in the air when you use it in a space level). I think the bugs make it a lot more fun, like trying to get as far as you can in a character level with the vehicle glitch. The other portable games just feel so cookie cutter and run-of-the-mill.
@@CamReviews Have fun trying to 100% the GBA games without emulator tricks, lmao. Getting everything from the shop in those games is just excruciatingly long stud grinding. The way I did it was to just have a macro that would constantly replay this one level for me and I had the game sped up as well. I left that on overnight and it did the trick.
Fun fact: the console version of Lego Force Awakens also curses, but this time in the cutscene, and it's the part where Finn says "That's one hell of a pilot". However, the subtitles write it as "helluva", which is possibly how they got around censors

I played Shadow of Ronin a few years ago and I agree that it's a lot of fun. It feels like a classic lego game, and it kinda makes we wish we got a full-fledged console Ninjago game that's not based on the movie but solely on the cartoon.

I would just like to mention that I have played almost all of those Lego games you reviewed except for two (Lego indiana Jones and Lego Avengers) and that's it
I'd say the best thing that console version of Avengers has over the handhelds: The Agents of Shield pack comes with a level on console but not handheld. You don't miss much if you have handheld, because the level is basically just a summary of the last 2 episodes of Season 2 and you don't get anything from it

Lego LotR and Hobbit can switch between day and night on the console versions, and Lego Jurassic World and The Force Awakens have always been my favourite handheld Lego games. The one single flaw with Lego Jurassic World in my opinion, is how dull the knives are. I understand why it takes time to cut stuff, but the freaking sound that it makes is so annoying.
i remember getting Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens for the PSvita as a Christmas present in 2016 (the last physical PSvita game I've gotten as of time of writing). i think its a good game, and i had a good time playing it, but i found it confusing on how to unlock many of the characters (do you need to find tokens? i still don't know), I'll have to try looking for the characters again someday. The PSvita version is pretty much the same game as the 3DS version terms of graphics and gameplay from what i see in the video i'll have to try out Lego Marvels Avengers on handheld someday, as it actually sounds pretty good (unlike the console version which was lame, and this is coming from someone who beat the story mode)
I also went through all the Lego games 100%, but on PSVita (unlike 3ds, on Vita there are trophies and platinum.... I received all 13 platinum in 13 Lego games) How can I remember how I collected 2 billion Lego details (to get a trophy in Jurassic World..... it was sooooo long... even with multipliers)
i live in the country but my town is about 30 minutes near A city and the local game stop in the city has some 3ds games for cheap in 2023 I get portable Lego games their I go to that city every few weeks with my family I really love going there
Having recently played Lego JW's console version (ironically enough, Switch lol), it's really surprising how much the 3DS version stays true to it in the level layouts, nearly the same game just without the free roam. Last Lego handheld game to sorta do that, in my experience so not objective fact, was Lego Batman 2, so that's pretty neat. The downside is that it means both console and handheld versions are really short for JW so... Buy them on discount.
Lego Ninjago Shadow of Ronin is the most forgotten underrated Lego game to me. It doesn't get the credit it deserves. The voice acting while odd at first is easy to get used to, the combat and levels are great, a good amount of characters, the music is also great and whil there's only 3 bosses their all really fun. It even has achievements which should be in more Lego games if done right. Highly recommended to Lego and Ninjago fans. But if I had a complaint it would be there's no hub world to run around and no extra side content which would have been great to have

great video and great serie of videos really enjoyed it, maybe you can talk about the retro lego games like lego island or lego racers in another video 🥰
I wouldn't say that, I do think the TFA is a fine film and I really like the Last Jedi. I think the trilogy as a whole is a mess. I just see this game as kind of pointless, especially when compared to the other Lego Star Wars games that came before it. Like only focusing on one film is fine but I feel like that really restricted them on what they could have on the game
I pretty sure the reason Nindroids was so bad and seemed like such a step back is because it wasn't developed by TT fusion. This new developer probably saw that marvel superheroes was TTs most successful game and copied it but worse.
I remember getting Lego Marvels Avengers on 3DS, and nearly getting 100%. Apparently one bounce pad decided to not exist in the hub world, so I was locked out of getting it. They updated and fixed it later, but that was annoying. I will say one thing I liked about the console version were the random crimes you could go and deal with in town. Whether it was a robbery, or a group of enemies to fight, I actually enjoyed being able to go around and help the city, but the 3DS version didn't have that which was a bit disappointing.
17:55 are you kidding? The space suit was awesome. It felt like truly being Batman. While Cyborg or Superman could easily use laser or flight and you have Batman without powers mange to still be able to do anything they can do. Also the color design with the white and gold is just so unique for the caped crusader. Along with that I had the lego set which was cool. And the refueling yeah that was kinda cringe.
I think the objective system could work in a future Lego game. My idea is that you would need to get 1 bonus objective gold brick as the game's level is loading it shows what the objective is. For example if your playingLego Marvel Superheroes it shows something like "destroy 5 lampposts" or "smash 5 cars"
I couldn't agree more about avengers, it's the perfect handheld lego game. I bought it like two years ago and II still go back to play it, because it's just that good. The only real complaint I have is how they butchered squirrel girl.
@@CamReviews Her moveset to, she's practically useless to play as in this game, whereas in marvel super heroes, avengers and superheroes 2, she's one of the best characters to play as, in terms of combat.
Hey I know you do retro reviews. But I know your love of Disney infinity is probably as big as mine. Would you review Disney Speedstorm? It’s nostalgia and design reminds me of Disney infinity so much.
I kinda fell of the Lego games. I'm pretty much "if it isn't TCS I ain't playing it". I remeber my mom got my 3ds lego movie and I was very disappointed in that title. It's interesting how the portable version of the lego games differ from the console. It was great to see them be little side games to trying to replicate the console version, even surpassing it sometimes. It was great to see you go through all these lego games. Can't wait to see what you tackle next
I Played Lego Marvel On 3DS,A Guy Let Me Play The Game If I Let Him Play On My Tablet,I Played The First Level I Could Not Beat It Because I Was Playing Iron Man,And It Was Time For Both Of Our Parents To Pick Us Up
If you're covering Lego The Incredibles, mention that Elastigirl's weird transformation has an icon resembling the ones in the later handheld games rather than the style of the rest of the game's icons.
I remember buying Lego CIty Undercover for the 3DS, it lagged like crazy, had 20fps in some places. I wanted to refund after 5 mins, but the eShop isn't Steam :/
sigh I really do miss the handheld lego games I remember the first lego handheld game I got was lego star wars the complete saga for the ds and it actually introduced me to the star wars universe, second of all I got lego marvel super heroes on both the xbox one and the 3ds, the 3ds version was a bit odd and I remember I wished venom and the other villains were playable, sadly they were not:( I also remember having the force awakens game on the 3ds and It was good I remember the battle of endor level it was fun. I wish other lego games got their on handheld version like lego marvel super heroes 2 and lego star wars the skywalker saga (much better in my point of view lol) funnily enough in the future I may make my own lego handheld fangame of my version of lego star wars the skywalker saga but It's just a thought.
The reason why Ninjago characters are recast in the games compared to the show is some kind of legal boundary. The Ninjago show is recorded in Canada with Canadian actors. The games however are not. So apparently there's some kind of country-based legal mumbo jumbo or union clash that results in replacing every actor with an American counterpart. This is why the Netflix show Sonic Prime has completely different actors from the games. It's recorded in Canada by the same studio currently working on Ninjago.
i personally hated how the newer lego games lost their story mode after playing the levels just once. At least most of the dialogue is kept so you arent missing everything but come on, you kept a story mode for lotr and batman 2 (well, the 3ds versions, sadly the mobile versions dont keep with this) but why not the higher end games on 3ds? Doesnt make sense especially since the levels were toned down in length too, easy addition to make to them

Yeh her voice is so bad 😭
@@CamReviews Her moveset to, she's practically useless to play as in this game, whereas in marvel super heroes, avengers and superheroes 2, she's one of the best characters to play as, in terms of combat.
i had The force Awakens, it was pretty good for a 3ds LEGO game
the handheld version of complete saga was the first game i 100%ed followed by lego batman 1 handheld since the ds was my first gaming device
Yess finally
45:11 this is the same in console version
As someone who completed Nindroid and hated it, Im reassure to know that the sequel is better. Might give it a shot
Actually Darth Maul is accurate in TFA, it was the clone wars variant, when he only had half his lightsaber
Interesting, didn't know that! Thanks for letting me know!
@@CamReviews you're welcome! Glad to help
Thanks so much!:) I agree it’s super fascinating
Console versions when?
I’m sort of joking I know that would be a ton of work but it would be sooo cool
I mean who else is going to do it? 😅
Great video! I’ve loved the series are there any other ds games you’ve played that you’d enjoy covering? :)
I'm not sure yet to be honest
I had a good chunk of the lego ds games. Most underrated versions, change my mind
You talked of some lego games but well, my favourite is not in your list, my favorite lego game is LEGO City Undercover (and it was on 3DS)
i love lego battles and ill fight ANYONE on it
You should do 100% walkthroughs of most of these games
Lego Avengers on 3DS it's very impressive, but framerate on old revisions so bad...
I personally couldn’t play the game very much because the frame rate would tank way too much on my original 3ds
Should play on Ps Vita, much better
The console version of lego batman 3 is not boring, its an awesome game from travelers tales
I've played both lego battles and lego ninjago battles there both pretty good at least in my opinion.
Had no clue about this!
i personally hated how the newer lego games lost their story mode after playing the levels just once. At least most of the dialogue is kept so you arent missing everything but come on, you kept a story mode for lotr and batman 2 (well, the 3ds versions, sadly the mobile versions dont keep with this) but why not the higher end games on 3ds? Doesnt make sense especially since the levels were toned down in length too, easy addition to make to them
The 3DS and vita versions of Lego Jurassic World are just the mobile version
I love Lego Battles, the DS game
never knew the hand held lego games took such a weird turn
