BIG PROBLEM - Will our move be affected

- This week we focus solely on clearing the house ahead of our sale. There are some tough decisions to be made on what to keep and what will be sold, donated or disposed of and we face a major fly in the ointment as we discover a leaky shower and survey the resulting damage. We also have to tackle the lofts with the potential of spiders hiding in the corners.
This is episode 136 in a series of videos cataloguing our post retirement adventures. We are Kath and Sue and we are travelling the UK with our two dogs Archie and Fudge and living full time in our Burstner Elegance Motorhome. We have given up conventional living for a new van-life, enjoying the freedom of the road and plenty of time outdoors taking in the beautiful countryside the UK has to offer.

I don’t get bored watching you. It’s the life of you and Sue and of corse the lovely fur babies. It’s been interesting you clean out the house. I watch and think I’ve done that never going to have to do it again.

Thank you. 🙏 We are hoping not too much upheaval. Will know more once they rip the old shower out but have to wait for the insurance company to give us the go ahead. I’m sure it will all be fine in the end. 🙏🤗🚌❤️

You’re doing so well clearing the house out…..it’s a job we need to do but just the thought of it!!! (Especially photographs!) It’s incredible what you accumulate when you’ve lived somewhere for a long time isn’t it? Equally when we are in the van suddenly what feels ‘essential’ when you’re in a house suddenly you can well live without!! Fudge’s face was such a picture! She’s clearly unimpressed at her Mums hard works and is itching for her lovely van life! I wonder if Archie has chosen a nice comfy spot to watch what’s going on without worrying? I hope so. Change in routine can be hard for our fur babies can’t it? Certainly yours have got so used to life in your van so I hope they’re coping ok?🐶🐶💕 I know we’d all miss our beautiful garden more than anything in the house!….I hope the leak isn’t too severe and soon gets dried out and fixed without need for much disturbance, and WELL DONE for all your hard work so far (hope you’re having plenty of pauses to enjoy the Olympics!). Thank you. It’s such hard work when our hearts are elsewhere. It is quite amazing how easy it is to remember what’s important when you live in a small space so it has meant parting with things has been easier than it would have been. The dogs are doing ok and Archie has found his new best spot on a rug and getting in and out of the garden is quite easy for him so apart from the usual, mobility problems he’s doing well. We can’t wait to get going again though. 🤞🤗🙏🚌❤️

Loved your bickering over the old photos. Fudge didn’t look impressed with the diy drawer repairs. Loft head torch was upstairs coal mining. Lovely vlog again.

I think it all gets more stressful as you get older. I can’t remember worrying so much last time…..although that was a very long time ago. 😂🙏🚌❤️

😂😂😂tell me about it!!! I’m going crazy. Have to keep taking ourselves off for a few days but we are almost there. Shower situation is looking ok. Insurance company have been great so far so hopefully we will be able to get it sorted very soon. 🙏🤗🚌❤️

Thanks. I’m sure we will sort it. Just a hassle we’d prefer not to have. I’m just grateful we are retired. Can you imagine how hard it would be if trying to sort out amongst working as well so not complaining…..much😂. Still hope to see you in Scotland later this year. 🏴🙏🚌❤️

I reduced a 4 bed house and garage down to one suitcase...sold and got rid of it all...live in a house again but don't accumulate stuff...good luck..!!

Very exciting. The decluttering is so hard even though we thought we’d done it when we left there was still so much to go. Thankfully we are there now though with just barely bones left. 🤗🙏🚌❤️

The blackberries probably in a micro climate , but also nature has it that not all come out at once otherwise the birds etc will only get some at one specific time , nature has it that it covers a period for the better coverage . I so want to declutter now . 🫶❤️🐾
