- 21 HOURS THAT ROCKED OUR WORLD, This is our story, it is important to keep in mind five people with the same diagnoses all of our stories will be very different.
THIS ONE IS OUR'S
We have learned that our own personal responses and beliefs will often be the driving force behind the outcomes in our lives, for us it was getting as much information as possible and asking lots of questions.
Knowledge can eliminate a lot of fear, it is all very personal.
We decided not to ever feel hopeless. HOPE we hung on to it.
This we have seen in our lives staying positive and grateful has given us far more than the opposite.
Don't get me wrong sadness pain and crying were also players in our journey, we made a conscious decision to give it less time so we could see healing and progress, and yes Bill is back on the Golf Course. Bill is not letting a number define him, attitude is everything. back to Golf, done next!

In my heart I knew Bill had gotten very sick and that it was serious ! I was so worried for you both. Great story. So glad all is well. Yes. Things happen for a reason. I am 79. I went in to see a neurologist to see if I had MS. They did an MRI of brain and cervical spine. So far, they don't feel that I have MS but they found that my cervical spine is severely narrow because of bone loss and I need surgery. I don't have unusual pain in my neck , so I would not have had it checked and it could have resulted in loss of the use of my legs. Surgery is in May. You two are so cute together. I had heard that after 75, insurence hesitate on doing major expensive surgery because of age. Not the case with you, and hopefully not the case with me. Bless you both. ❤

I lost my Brother several months ago , aged 76 due to bowel cancer .
Early detection is so important ❤
Michelle we are sorry for your loss , your brother was still young.
We were so lucky that the MRI was done for a totally different reason and they detected the mass in the bladder.
It’s in our past now, back to living the best life we can have :) hugs xx

Yvette , Bill and I often joke about letting a mechanic look under the hood of his 57 Tbird ( we sold it 4 years ago ) it would go in for one repair but end up needing much more 🤭 We we’re so fortunate in so many ways
Our kids were incredibly, looking towards our future now :) hugs Xx

Thanks Charlotte, it was quite the journey we learned a lot about ourselves and each other.
We knew finding the strength from within was far more important than searching for something outside of us .
I’m glad we shared the real stuff not that anyone can particularly learn from our experience, these things are different for everyone , but sometimes hearing other people’s journey can give hope:) Hugs xx

@@liedyMc Yes it's time to tell what exactly happened as many don't make it. Dan had a strong sense something was wrong despite the Drs not finding anything. This saved his life. I will refer to your story too, once I make mine. Can wait to watch the other too XX

Glad Bill's surgeries went well. I know what Bill must have felt when they told him " ...amputation..".. When I had my accident, in the ambulance the paramedic called the hospital " ..bringing in xx years old male possible amputation..". Glad you made it through OK
We were shocked to hear it as well Pierre, we never ever thought that this could be the determining factor to proceed with the surgery.
Oh wow ! We can relate to you hearing those words .. I’m thinking your out come was as successful as Bills :) xx
