I didn't really care for either Prequelle nor Impera, so they'd be at the bottom for me. Opus to me is still their best. Meliora might be objectively better in songwriting and production value, but it is exactly this raw production and mysticism of Opus that gives it such a unqie atmosphere, which I absolutely love. Also, from today's perspective it's kinda funny, how Opus was treated as such a niche underground thing and now Ghost is one of the biggest younger bands in Rock and Metal: 5. Impera 4. Prequelle 3 Infesstissuman 2. Meliora 1. Opus Eponymous
the first and second albums are my favourites. I love the second album because it has more of a 70s prog rock thing going. The third album is good, but it's almost too slick, and the songs start to follow the more standard formula of song writing. I loved it when it came out but I get drawn back to the first 2 albums more. Prequelle burst my fanboy bubble and Ghost hasn't been the same for me

It has some really good songs like Hunters Moon and Twenties, but I just can't get into most of the songs. Not terrible and I always like how Ghost tries to change its style each album while trying to stay true to themselves. But I just don't really like this Meat Loaf/Bon Jovi-like stuff mixed with Ghosts sound. I think the first 3 albums (especially Opus and Meliora) is peak Ghost to me and even Prequelle has some great stuff.

Well to be honest Impera disappointed me. The execution is the problem here not the ideas. Twenties is the worst Ghost song I ever heard.Tobias is damn near rapping here. Yuck. The rest of the songs were not too bad. Prequelle is probably my favorite along with Opus coming in second. I never heard the second one you mentioned and ameliorate was just OK to me. Really enjoy ranking videos.
1:17 You brought up Meat Loaf. I have a Meat Loaf story. I saw him in concert in 2016 in Victoria. It was the WORST concert I ever attended! He sounded like shit, was incoherent, *MUMBLED* the entire performance and was in so much pain he could hardly move. That show was a *DUMPSTER FIRE!* Here's the crazy part. I did not know that it was gonna be the last tour that he would end up doing. Victoria was one of the last stops on the tour. After that tour, Meat Loaf took a long hiatus and had to undergo back surgery. Early this year, there were rumors that he was gonna do another album and possibly do another tour, but sadly, two months ago, on January 20th, Meat Loaf died after contracting COVID-19.

Impera has grown on me so much since it was released. I play it and Infestissumam the most these days.
