  • I have had the Rebel for two seasons and without a doubt it is the easiest bike to ride that I have ever owned or tried.

    Which top case is that?

      It is SW Motech Trax Adv. It really is great and fits one helmet. It is fitted to a SW Motech adventure rack that is secured to the Honda rear rack. Very secure.

    🇺🇸 Outstanding review on the bike I picked up last August. I have the 2022 model year and it had only 1224 miles on the clock when I purchased it. The dealership installed a Memphis Shades Batwing fairing windscreen at no charge! I had to swap out the muffler (it was an eyesore for me) and seat. There’s no pillion (passenger) seat on the American model, so I installed one and a sissy bar backrest. I absolutely love this bike, and the DCT lets me concentrate more on what is going on around me on the roads instead of worrying about shift timing, rev matching, friction zones etc! This is my forever bike and I am strongly considering the Honda Goldwing as my next acquisition for those really long trips.

      Thanks I am looking forward to the 2024 season and will do a follow-up walk around on the things I have done to the bike.

    Thank you for your interesting review! I have traveled northern Scotland and I envy you your road choices. I am in northern Arizona, where all our riding is mountain desert, kind of the opposite. I noticed your comment re glare off the speedometer when sun at your back. I solved this with a simple piece of black cardboard - it slides easily into the gap just above the glass.

      Nice solution but here in Scotland it would get soggy pretty quick.

      I have it set in user mode and don't use anything else. I want the bike to behave the same every ride.

    I can't decide between this and a Honda NC750X DCT.

    • @StayAtHomeBiker
      @StayAtHomeBiker  8 месяцев назад

      I had an NC750X and it is a competent bike, I swapped it for the X-ADV 750 and think that is a much better option for me. If you are going any distance or commuting get the X. The X will give you better touring luggage options and passanger comfort. If you travel relatively short distance then I would say the Rebel. Style wise it is the Rebel.

      Go for the one that meets your luggage and passanger needs. Both are great bikes I had an X for 5 years. If you ride solo then you must give the Rebel a try.

      @@StayAtHomeBiker thanks for the reply. Yes I ride solo and I was thinking maybe using a motorcycle to commute to work. I live in Southern California where the traffic is bumper-to-bumper everyday. So I would be weaving in-and-out between cars.

    • @StayAtHomeBiker
      @StayAtHomeBiker  8 месяцев назад +1

      If in traffic perhaps the taller stance of the X would be safer as you are quite low down on the Rebel, those SUV drivers might not register you. The X with fog lamps and an upgraded horn!

      @@StayAtHomeBiker I was thinking the same thing. I also heard that the seating position on the Rebel makes your back hurt. My commute to work is 20 miles each way.

      @@StayAtHomeBiker I think dct is a good thing it can change gear far quicker than manual and also good for disabled people who still want to Ride
