Lovely colour. Can't believe you took the chain guard off, I've hardly had to lube mine and it's always clean. Best bike I've owned, love it. I've got the 21, the headlight's like a car! I do like that green though. BTW I'm in Stirling. Perfect bike for our roads.
I did not mention I traded in a NC750X against the X-ADV. I had the X for five years and it is a very capable bike. I had no issues or complaints with the X. I considered a new X but choose the X-ADV as something different to try. I have no regrets I the choice.
Thanks for the review. Which windscreen did you add to the bike ? Looks like it protects very well. Looking for a new screen as I am quite tall. Thanks
I have the Givi taller screen on the bike. I have realised it is the width that is the issue for me. The wind hitting my shoulders makes a lot of wind noise.
The protection with standard and the givi screen is just great. I switched to the givi because of the wind noise which I think is loud. The givi did not help. I think it is caused by turbulence at the sides hitting my shoulders and arms because the screen is narrow.
I guess Honda don't think there are going to be enough people wanting a big scooter in North America. It has gone down well here in Europe but less so in UK although the reviews have been positive.
Just wondering why you are effectively doing the mot test when the test station will be doing it? And if it gets a fail, it’s free to restest once you fix what they find…
Hi there, Would you change it for the newer 2021 version as I’m looking at a 2020 older version with full luggage and other extras for just under eight grand. Less a thousand miles too.
I would not change as I have no desire for the new TFT or rider modes, I really like the original instrument panel. I would however like to see if the leg spreading fatness if the bike was improved by much. I also like my green bike.
My bike is a 2019 model. The SW Motech website has them listed as 2016 onwards and it looks like they will fit new models. Best check with them direct. I do recommend the set-up they make the bike so versatile for shopping, camping or just transporting stuff.

Belt drive would be a great addition to the X-ADV. It would really improve on the practicality and remove a maintenance task. I guess Honda are relying on the NC platform to keep costs down and sharing components with the very popular NC750X.
With the set-up I have you could tour for ever. All day comfort. The motor is reliable, easy to service, common parts the the NC750 range mean spares available everywhere. I should not think the worst sand or mud would be much fun with the weight of the bike. A tumble could see a lot of the plastics broken.
@@davidwilkie6302 Touring on good road surfaces the X-ADV would be fantastic. Anything challenging then a small lighter bike or a mid-sized bike. The new Ducati desert looks like a world tourer.
Nice bike Brian. Pretty sure I met you on it at Tescos Blairgowrie and we had a chat.
I hope I sold you on the X-ADV.

I wanted a hugger to protect the rear shock. The hugger and scotoiler complement each other. Pretty much no chain maintenance now.
Rlly considering this or the Tmax techmax
@@silentinvestorTMAX is a beast but silly money.
ive just bought a 2017 adv mint condition i love it the dct gearbox is great
Same here! It’s 2017 and has nearly 10k miles on it, but looks and rides like new.
I’m excited to get a bike that can fit so many scenarios.
Nice 👍 the DCT seems particularly suited to the X-ADV.
I have the same bike!
Very happy with it :)
Can I ask if you get a lot of wind noise on yours. I think the wind hits my shoulders and sounds loud. More noise than on a naked bike.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I’m keen to get one of these as a second bike. Had a NC750X before and loved the DCT gearbox. 👍🏻

What about the wind protection when you ride (face, chest, arms, legs) considering you do not have the original windshield

@@StayAtHomeBiker well, Honda should work more on it, redesign the shape or add deflectors
Not available in CANADA unfortunately!!!

how comfortable with a passenger? How is the passenger seat for the passenger.
Not something I can comment on. I don't even insure the bike for taking passengers.
Sir, how do you solve the infamous untimely DCT jerky characteristic ? p.s. I heard the 2021 model has re-tuned and solve that problem
I did not find the X-ADV that jerky also with the rear brake being under your left hand it makes feathering the brake like a clutch more initiative.
Just wondering why you are effectively doing the mot test when the test station will be doing it? And if it gets a fail, it’s free to restest once you fix what they find…
Best practice to keep myself safe. and also if there is anything dangerous they will not let you drive away to fix it.

Hi, I need footpegs too!!!
Can you Please provide me some information about the seller?
They are Puig foot pegs. Highly recommend them as they give the scooter a more sporty feel.
Is your bike the newer model want to know if the pannier system will fit on 2022 model as I know own lug system fixing points changed
Honda own luggage fixing points changed

Did you get any aftermarket cruise control?
No cruise control.
Hi, can i know what is your mileage now? And is the fork getting soft when applying front brake?
At the end of 2021 the bike clocked up 2000 miles. Everything feels tight and as new.
SW Motech Trax ADV 45l boxes on both sides?
Yes 45L both sides. I recommend them without any hesitation.
Thank you for the Answer.
Have you an Picture from the backside?
I will do a walk around video of the bike and mods I have made.

Ok just for touring spain
Whats your height ?
I am 5'10" 178cm. I think that is about the limit for the first gen, any shorter and the stance if the bike would be a big problem.
So if you drive it is it a car 🤔rather than a bike which you ride 😂👍🏻
I guess it has to do with having an engine. I do not drive my pedal bike.
