Tip 1 Carry spare tube Carry small pump and puncture kit 2 Always carry hydration carry 1.5 to 2 liters (if possible add sugar and salt a bit in the water to act as energizer) additional tip Don't overspeed on particular segments as tiring yourself for other segments. 3 After completing around 15 to 20 km take a 5 to 10 min break stretch your legs and upper body 4 Keep your partner informed about the path for avoiding confusion 5 Keep the distance of 3 to 5 seconds to break during the emergency in the ride. 6 optional Have something to eat after 25 to 30 kms if required. 7th carry some food along with you that act as energizer such as banana chikki or some dried fruits etc 8th Dont use earphones while riding as it is very dangerous , if possible use bone conduction earphones. 9th( more of a personal opinion but anyways...) I feel personally that one should carry along a power bank to support the phone charge as continuous running of strava in the baground takes a toll on the battery and in addition to that the photos are must( not that must, but optional too XD) sooo do your phone a favour and please carry a power bank and aslo.......... share the live location via WhatsApp by attaching your live location for 1 or 8 hours as depending on the duration of the rides as it keeps your loved ones a peace of mind. Good suggestions, but i would like to add something, i did 50 100km rides on different cycles Gear and single speed as well and my very first ride was with my brother which was around 50km, we use to run before so i guess it helped us to complete our ride easily, so try keeping cardio and a bit of running in your weekly routine , start with 1km or 2km with slow pace, you would definitely enjoy you long cycle rides more it's just a suggestion as it helped me a lot.

Hi, Great video bro. I need help in deciding on a bike. I am looking at riding on the weekends for exercise purpose and staying active. I will be riding on the bike paths close to home (most are cemented, paved) and may be eventually on roads. Would like to see myself riding 20 to 30 kms on a day. Would be nice to have the option to ride on gravel and a bit offroad on grass lands and easy trails, not to serous. Just for a bit of fun. Last time I bought a Merida D40 road bike which I wasn't a huge fan of and ended up selling it in a couple of months. Didn't quite like the way it changed gears as it kept playing up. Also tyred were too thin didn't felt to safe around the corners. I realised it would be nice to have front suspension. Hence I ended up finalising 2 bikes, Trek Merlin 7 and Trek Dual Sport 3 both 2021. I am in Australia and we don't have the DS4 as yet. I like the shape of Marlin 7, It also has a nice upgraded DR system making it 1/10. Really nice broad front and looks solid. Not sure how it would be for travelling 20 to 30 kms ride on road or paved paths which is what I aiming to do in a day. On the other hand DS3 ticks the boxes from fitness prospective, long distance travel due to thinner tyres and sill has a front suspension. Also a slight upright posture. It does not have the DR 1/10 which is only available in DS4 and we don't have it here in Aus. Your thoughts and input will be really appreciated. Cheers

today was the first day when I did cycling. I started cycling after at least 15 years now. I used to do it when I was in school and riding 25-30 kms was something normal sometimes. Today again as my comeback, I again did almost 25 kms of cycling and it felt like nothing. The only thing that bothered me was a little butt pain and my continues arch in the back. I will sort out these things soon and literally riding even 50 kms a day even in the beginning would be like very normal to me. I will soon try to reach 100 kms a day.
I've cycled a lot during the lockdown, nearly 3000km and I'm starting again. I've completed 6 100km rides on my MTB and my highest is 153km. Yesterday I rode 35 and today I rode 40km.

Go with hybrids they are really good for long rides but if you want to do more off roading then go with mtb which comes with hardtale frame

It's easy, you just need good stamina and have passion, I ride for 3-4 hours in the morning and I easily complete 50kms or more.
