No Quarter Live version was recorded as MSG in 1973 and released on Led Zeppelin’s ‘’The Song Remains the Same ‘’album in 1976 as vinyl .
In my opinion , this is one of Two best Live versions of No Quarter. (The other one I can nominate , is from ‘Listen to this Eddie 21-06-77,LA Forum )
This transcription is based on original vinyl 12 min version , NOT from DVD or recent remastered versions.
This Live performance shows John Bonham’s thunderous drumming and impressive alignment with guitar solo and keyboard solo by open and close Hihats with bass drum , attacks by different crashes with bass drum , light funk grooves , also includes short passage with timpani and gong , reaches a degree of symphonic sensibility and colourful drumming in heavy rock .
Some years ago ,this transcription was initiated by drummer Michael Barber (www.live2drum.co.za ) upon my request , and lately I re-focused ,developed and finalized .
It is formatted by Maciek Wojcieszuk (drummer) , and audio-video sync is done by SabihCangilProductions. (Sabih Cangil , rock guitarist,composer,producer)
