    Hi. As a drummer, this tune has frustrated me ever since I first heard it around 1969, but I have to say this cover of it is simply THE best I ever heard. Kudos to you.

    • @marcoferraresi1
      @marcoferraresi1  4 года назад +11

      Thank you man! It took me almost 2 weeks. I started learning every section separately, and then I put them together. The most challenging part has been reacting to the tempo changes in the song, as they obviously didn't record it using a metronome, so I had to learn where they push and where drag as well! ;)

    This is pretty much perfect, and I really like the little things you threw in there just for a little extra flair. The snare sounds perfect. You played it perfectly. Maybe the Tom’s could’ve been mixed slightly louder but that’s about it. Kit sounds great tho, fantastic job!

    WOW WOW WOW, this is the most amazing cover of this song ever, I bought this album when it first came out and fell in love with this drum part, lol you have blown my mind with all the talent you have for sure played for the video, I am a drummer for 56 years and still can't play this song, so you are for sure a hero to me. I have played with some great people and maybe could have been doing it more if I could have played this song like you did. Thanks a huge ton for making this video.

    • @marcoferraresi1

      Hi Tom!! My suggestion is to look for the isolated drum track (here's one for example: ruclips.net/video/yPfi_876VR4/видео.html), slow it down, and transcribe it ;) But I am going to give you another little hint that will help you to understand that part even better: although the time signature of what comes before is 12/8, from 4:10 it changes to a 4/4, at approx 139bpm (they didn't use a metronome to record it, so if you use it it's not going to work! Clap the 4 beats with your hands and it will work :) ). Let me know how you get along with it! If you want you can even email me your transcription (marco.ferraresi94@gmail.com) or a first draft of it, so I can have a look and see if it's correct, and send you mine! Have fun :)
