- This is just my top pick one of my favorites lineup car Top 20 best sounding cars on GT7! But some engine tune still quite not there yet, still bit lacked missing cracked loud or sound way to echo or electric to me hopefully next game improved again.

Na, you watch, there are still institutions like Porsche as an example, that not only are intrinsically linked to sports car racing, but they are spending big money on developing emission neutral fuels for combustion engines so they can continue racing at the least. This is already happening and not just an idea either. There will always be diehards and traditionalists that won’t be satisfied without everything that comes with combustion engines and racing them. I couldn’t imagine a company like Ferrari wanting to make EVs only.
Future cars will make those sounds in their speakers

at least they sound like cars now I remember in previous GT they sounded like washing machines but there is room for improvement in the soud department definitely
The previous gt was gt sport and that had great sounds.

They should take some pointers from the Dirt Rally Series, specifically 2.0
My dad has a gt350r and I can tell you that the in game sound is very different compared to real life, but the in game sound is nice too. Nice video! 👍

there is something weird about the off throttle, redline, and shifting of every engine sound

if every single car in the game sounded exactly like real life this game would be a lot different, the porsche 911 RSR would be easily on the list but in the game it resembles more of an rpm restricted 911 GT3-R
I was so upset when I bought the RSR, grinding le mans would've been so much more numbing if it sounded like it does irl.
it really is a digrace how the RSR and all the Porsche GT3 variants sound in GT, no screaming what so ever

They are, in game you just hear them from different perspectives and with additional other noises.

cmon guys use common sense in the menu the cars only rev in closed garage or warehouses while in game there is open surrounding and accelerating so of course the sound is different. on youtube all the best sounding cars sounds different between rev and acceleration

@@Triplew00d well not really, its recorded. The ingame sounds are not directly footage, it is generated by a sound generator. But the display menu ones are just re recorded :D

Gran turismo will always be the best. The last Gran turismo I've played was 5 & 6. A while ago i upgraded from Xbox one to series x, because i have alot of Xbox game discs and also on my account But i will buy a PS4 just to play GT7

I’m sure they did their best, but GT7 car sounds still have that digitalized or computer generated feel to them. Cars only sound truly good in the preview part but in game they don’t

The only thing left to improve is the rev limiter in all cars.
Most of the cars sound so generic. For example Castrol Supra, it has some common 4 cylinder sound and that's all. Compressed as hell, lifeless, robotic. In real life that Supra sounds way different. I was so excited for GT7 release hoping that they would make a huge step forward in a sound design but actually they have done zero work since GT Sport. If you want to know how a racing 4 cylinder car should sound in a modern video game go check out Dirt Rally 2.

What the 97 Castrol supra has in the game in terms of sounds is as close to its real life counterpart which used a 2.0L turbocharged Inline-4 ripped straight out of Toyota's WRC corollas at the time

@@Eric-Wall the mustangs in general were very poor in this game only one i liked was the 69 boss but it´s top speed was terrible. and the camaro ZL1 had absolutely terrible performance not even the racing soft tyres could handle it´s power you even need to nerf it to get half decent performance

Gran Turismo’s sounds are just too tame and polished. It doesn’t capture the rawness of an engine like other games do. For example the Sauber C9. It’s way too smooth, it sounds brutal in real life. GT7 is one of the best race games, BUT sound of the engines is far from real, collison damage needs to be reviewed cause when you crash in real life its either game over or affects topspeed.
Car damage would eliminate divebombers.

@@shingosshojiopoulos6608 compare it to any other game. Even test drive unlimited 1 got better sounding engines. Polophony doesn't use sampleded recordings of real cars. All sounds are synthesized.

These sounds are horrific. Jeez. Can't believe in 2022 in a triple a game like this we are getting these kind of sounds. Crazy how a sound design team like this seemingly puts almost zero effort in while Horizon 5 has the best car sounds ever.
Respect that GT7 has better sounding cars than the older GT games so they did put in effort to make the cars sound amazing
@@ayronreddy3992 And they still sound bad. They even got one of Forza's guys to come over and it's still bad. Maybe because I'm comparing it to Forza but I feel that's necessary since they're both car games and sound, to me, is a very very large part of car culture and car games.
