This video is getting a lot of views recently, and I wanted to say thank you to everyone who enjoyed it. It's almost 2 years old, I found a lot of new details since then, so I'm planning on making part 2 once I get my hands on a PS5.
@@muscadilie9999 Really? The first thing I did after buying the F40 was to take it to Special Stage Route X and see if the lights affect speed. It would be interesting to see if the lights affect each car the same way, but this is very difficult to do, because the cars would have to have similar top speeds - due to a lack of power, not a too-short gearbox and very different sized opening lights.
The fact that this is the PS4 version is what surprised me the most. You would expect many of those details to be only on PS5. Shows how great the otimization is on the older console.
This. Honestly, I have been a Forza fanboy since the original Xbox, literally bought every xbox generation just for the new Forza titles, been featured by T10 for my liveries, even consulted with the real racing teams of some brands for my designs... And even I have to say that right now Gran Turismo is absolutly shitting on Forza Motorsport. FM7 is miles ahead of FM8 in nearly every category, it's shocking how bad the newest title really is.

One essential you forgot - lowering the car too much makes the tire rub the inside of the fender and inhibit your steering. Fantastic photos you took though!
To add onto the headlights in tunnels fact, if you enter a tunnel in cockpit view with a car that has a dashboard that's always lit (like the Honda Fit), you can see the dashboard light dim a little when the headlights come on, true to real life. It's most noticeable in cars with HUD projected onto the windshield like the C6 ZR1.
How dare you not following the herd and not hating the whole PD staff?! On a serious note, very well done video. I love how the text appears like a character's dialogue!
This video should at least be at 500k views dude... This video really felt like it straight out from the game. Gotta love Kaz and his polyphony digital teams, they always care about their games detail even if they know people wouldn't notice or care about it
Good thing is some of these came from older GT games of PS3, like headlights getting on depending on how dark the track is, or the wipers depending the rain intensity (even the crowd being almost none during time trials). Little things that get the game more lively.
Come on, man!! This is what you call a team that has an hard on for cars and the accuracy of physics and reactions to the environment. This level of detail is beyond crazy, and it's underappreciated. And this is a cross gen game! The team at Sony Polyphony Digital should receive the most prestigious awards, whatever they are. If anyone and I mean anyone has a comparison argument about GT7 to some other racing game, just show them this video. Nothing they can say, argument over period!! The quality your editing is as impressive as the game details. Super concise information, and the GT7 ost and sound effects are so well made that this could easily be taken as an official making of.
I remembered 1 extra detail that I thought PS4 version would never have. If you wear bright coloured race suits, u can see how the ray tracing works in cockpit view where if the ambient is bright enough, the race suit might reflect some of the light towards the surface of the interior. Even more noticeable on open top cars like FT1500, Chaparral 2J
2:24 This is actually incredibly helpful in sports mode,i once raced at Suzuka with the SF19 and it gave me extra information about the tyre conditions instead of only looking at the gui on the bottom left lol

These videos help people appreciate and understand the details and lengths that PD have gone to othewise i think majority of the dashboard details would go unappreciated..... I just cant wait till GT5 level rain detail is put back into GT..... GT5 level rain i think is on a par with Driveclub weather..... I think those will be for PS6 onwards! If everything is to include path tracing etc just imagine 40 car grids, realtime damage modelling, realtime variable weather time and day add in Sophy 4.0!!! PS6 / 7 and GT8 / 9 will melt our brains OH i forget ALL of the above IN PSVR 3 or something!!!!!

It's the little things that make the GT franchise, more so apparent in Sport and 7, so much more than just a racing game. Gran Turismo is a driving experience only Sony and Japan can produce. Japanese culture is rife throughout their games and GT7 is no exception. No matter how much "better" people want to say FM7 is graphic-wise, you will never feel the raw emotions evoked like in GT7. @@tydendurler9574 that as well. But I tested an F40, 71 mustang and a C6 corvette on the same wall.
